Very nice family campground! Has a nice pool and kids playground. RV sites are gravelled and RV parking area was very level even though the site was sloped and stepped. Our granddaughter loved the Terrain-train and meeting Tilly the eagle!TV reception was just ok. Verizon signal is very poor. Campground internet is very good when connected but frequently disconnected or had trouble connecting. Had issues with my surge protector shutting down on low voltage.Food & drinks: Tilly's grill had a good selection of sandwiches and sides!

love how it’s right here on lake Tilley. BUT, the sites are extremely small. Nothing really to do for kids, (smaller kids). We came here to try out our new camper and got parked next to someone who had the whole row smelling like marijuana. Not to mention they charged us $15 extra for a BABY. This is more for older people or if you’re traveling and just need to rest while passing through. I’m not very pleased at all. Definitely not worth what we paid.

Peaceful RV park right off the banks of Lake Tillery. Full hook up sites with decent room for parking. Lots of wildlife roaming throughout the park. Owners were very kind and always available, Staff communicates via text. They pick up, fill and drop off LP tanks on site. Has a common building where they hold events. Fishing pond, walking trail and pool on property with access to private pier on the lake. Only complaint was cell service, Verizon just didn't have coverage.

This is a great family campground with with a family atmosphere.. We love to visit. I'm just updating this and this is also a family-owned business where they're just like us They come out they talk to you They help you to do everything they can to make your visit pleasant The most I love about it is when we come they call us by name if we need anything in the middle of night they answer the phone You can pay your bill when you leave if there's something outside you need just be honesty get it We love to go here This is where we go the most through the summer the fall spring Just love to tell people about nice places and this is a nice family atmosphere not a place to go party not a place to go hiking or sports just a place to relax! They have tent sites that's awesome They have campers RVs We love it We had a pop-up and they gave us any site we needed and wanted and if the sites empty and you booked it that day most times if there's no problems they will let you come in early but they've changed check up in time from 3:00 to 4:00 It's awesome check it out!

We visited here for our first trip in our new camper. The family who runs the campground was beyond helpful and nice and so accommodating. The campground is well kept and the location is so nice right at the lake. I would definitely suggest going if you need a quiet, relaxing trip away from home.Nearby activities: Lake tillery is visible from the campground and you can rent water equipment from the campground or rent boats from a local marinaWalkability: You can walk around the campground easily and also walk down to the lakeFood & drinks: Complimentary breakfast Saturday mornings!

We had an amazing experience at Norwood Family Campground. Even though we didn’t pick the best time to visit with inclement weather this place was extremely accommodating for all our needs. The bathrooms were continually maintained and well kept. We chose site 80 and 81 it was super close to bathhouse, pool, fishing pond and recreation center. Staff was also super accommodating. We met a particular staff member Mary-Ann, she made this trip unforgettable. Her kindness, acceptance, helpfulness made this trip a memorable experience and we will definitely choose the exact same spot!!

Norwood Campground is a quiet, peaceful place. We like to stay a night there on our way to and from the beach. The free pancake breakfasts on Saturday mornings with all the pancake fixings are delicious and will fill you up. There are nice trails to hike with some wildlife to see if you are lucky. The playground includes swings with play equipment for preschool aged. The bathhouses are clean and well equipped; the showerhead was as nice as mine at home. Definitely come by to tell Alicia and all the staff hi.

Right on lake Tillery this campground is PERFECT for families. They have a playground and (affordable!!) laundry on site- a pond for fishing, a pool for swimming, and it’s just a quick walk down the hill if you want to go to the lake. The owners are constantly improving things and this is a fast growing campground- but it still has the friendliness of a community you’ve always known. Lots of dogs, and they are very pet friendly, but we were never bothered by barking or noise. And on Saturday they have free pancakes! We travel full time and this has been the most family friendly campground we’ve been to in NC. If you are just stopping by for a quick visit- or planning something more long term- they have shaded spots, helpful hosts, fire rings and picnic tables. What more could you want?

I had a great time at the campground even though we had some rain everyone was more than accommodating to us. I want to give a special thanks to Marianne for being so helpful and keeping the bathrooms super clean. I will 100% come back to Norwood campground. Stayed here last weekend for 4 nights in one of their cabins. As soon as we got to the office we were greeted by Richard. Was very helpful and polite. Check in process was so simple. When we entered the cabin you could tell they put in time to make sure it was clean and disinfected. During this pandemic, I am nervous going to new places. That concern went away quickly. The whole campground was very well kept by a team that obviously cares about their campers. Will I go back? Absolutely!!

Really nice family run campground. This is not a "parking lot" campground . It has a nice rustic feel. The sites are wooded and secure. The employees were helpful when needed. I would definitely return if I am in the area. The sites may require some extra leveling, but it is worth the effort.

I just briefly visited there. But I checked it out in person to be sure I wanted to camp here with my two kids and my fuzzy best friend. It was so clean and I noticed that they left plenty of trees for shade, which also helps keep camp sites fairly spaced out. They were not over cramped like I have seen other campgrounds do. They have an adorable general store that has necessities. I also saw a dog wash station (which you will be thankful for if your buddy decides to go mud stomping). I talked to Alesha and she is incredibly sweet and spoke to me like family. They are all very down to earth. I am going to book with them soon.

Loved it! First time here camping among the hardwoods with leaves gently falling like a misty rain. We had Thanksgiving dinner with the owners who brought the ham and turkey and about 30 delicious side dishes from the campers. During a hilarious gift exchange we came to know 20 other campers. The sites are wonderful with full hookups, tent sites and cabins. Campfires day and night, we will definitely return.

Very friendly staff. Everything is set up pretty nicely. The pool was not in operation when we were there and looked like it had been out of commission for some time, which is the only reason for the 4 star instead of 5. They have a playground and a stocked fishing pond as well as a building where they will host bingo and other games throughout the week. All in all a pretty nice place to stay for a few days. If we have another event in the area, I would stay again.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Norwood Campground! The staff was so friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We also rented a golf cart which was new and rode really well. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I camped here for a couple nights last month. We were in town for the Roval race at Charlotte motor speedway. I am SO glad he found it. It was very quiet. Our neighbors were friendly and the weather was perfect. Thankfull for the washer and dryer onsite as well. I am sure we will be back next year.

This campground has some of the friendliest staff that will go out of their way to accommodate your stay. Highly recommend staying with them even in the off season. The campground wasn’t very crowded mid week, so Alicia drove me around on the golf cart to pick which site would be best for our family. Lovely people! Looking forward to staying here again soon!

We can’t say enough about this campground! To feel like family and always welcoming ! Beautiful scenery as well as warmth of home . The owners and staff are absolutely amazing 💜! You will not regret coming and you will not want you leave once your here !! There is enough for all ages to enjoy , not to mention that extra mile the owners go to make it a memorable visit and make you feel like you have known each of them your whole life .More campgrounds could definitely take notes and they would be successful .

New owners are very friendly and working hard at improving and upgrading the campground. My wife and I stayed here for a couple months while working in the area. During this time, they've had several scheduled family friendly activities. One of my favorite things about this campground is they're pet friendly. My 2 small dogs got to enjoy their x-pen area at our site and I didn't have to worry about owners complaining that my dogs were too active or barking.

Family owned and operated, very nice, friendly, and caring. This family cares about people, and they go above and beyond to entertain and really connect to the folks that camp there. Watching them stuff and hide easter eggs, throwing dance parties for the kiddos, rolling up with the marshmallows for your campfire, just great people.The campers also tend to live up to the example, just super polite friendly people every time I have been there.Check them out, you will enjoy it!

The staff here are amazingly friendly and helpful. They are new owners to the campground and have some small things that could be improved on but I'm sure that is on the to do list. I could easily give 5 stars I'm sure once they've had time to address the minor stuff. My son had the best time and didn't want to leave. Bath houses are clean which is a major plus.

Older place, but nice. Bathrooms and showers are older but clean. Staff was great! I was there on off season so I can't really fault them but the wifi was down for upgrading. Word of caution to T Mobile users, the entire area is a dead zone. I had to leave ahead of schedule to stay in touch with family matters, again, not their fault.

Had a great weekend! The staff is friendly and engaging. Bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot. It did rain alot, and the campsite got real muddy real fast. I would love if they added lots more gravel to the tent site areas. Short walk to the lake for fishing, or just fish in the stocked pond on site.

Norwood is our “go to” for camping. We have stayed on multiple sites and all have provided plenty of room for our large family. The atmosphere is great and the family that runs the campground are some of the best people you will ever meet. We highly recommend Norwood and will continue to spend as much time here as we can.

I love that this place was recently bought and re-done by new owners. You can see the work they are doing now is going to create a beautiful campground. It's a little bare now with some random mess around, but still better than a lot of other privately owned campgrounds. We look forward to coming back and camping here. Very dog friendly and the people were so nice and helpful!!
