I received a prescription on Wednesday, which was sent here. I go and decide to wait the 15 minutes for it to be filled. 45 minutes later I am called up to be informed the medication is out of stock...could've used that information at the get go, but oh well. At this point it was too late in the day to get it on the next day's truck, so I am told it will be Friday. I receive a text on Friday, telling me the medicine is out of stock. I call, and they apparently never ordered it, and now it will be next week as they do not receive shipments on the weekend. No one has apologized once throughout this ordeal. There are other pharmacies.

This location is AWFUL. I use Walgreens in Virginia and drive up and leave within two minutes. I grew tired of sitting in the North Wilkesboro drive thru for 30-40 minutes and decided to go in. The inside puts their inefficient system on full display. This store is so Inefficient, it seems like you’re on candid camera……that it can’t really be this terrible. The clerks can never find the prescription, they go through half the bins on the wall and then the pharmacist will pull it off a cart, indicating it had never been filled. The clerks chat with the customers, regardless of the number of people in line. Each car in the drive thru seems to sit for ten minutes each. I was just inside and the clerk allowed a customer to go to her car to get a “card” after speaking with her for 12 minutes. He did not take the next customer as she ran to the car. You can’t make this up. I have been in line for 37 minutes and two customers have been helped. I’m going to encourage my mother to move her prescription to Walmart……and I haven’t been in a Walmart in years……that’s how bad this Walgreen’s is. If you value your time at all, don’t use this store.

Getting your prescription filled within a reasonable amount of time is like hitting the lottery. If the government ran a pharmacy, then this one would be the role model. Going inside is not any quicker than the drive through. Believe me, I’ve tried.The actual store is actually ok and open 24 hours, but beware of the pharmacy shenanigans.

Always a bad experience. If I could leave a lower review I would. Went in yesterday to pick up my daughters prescription at 4:00 pm, they told me it would be 20 minutes. Went to run errands and take my son to football practice and went back 2 hours later and it still wasn't ready. Was given the excuse that they are way behind and the prescription will be ready the next morning. Well 15 hours later and its still not ready.I will never use this location again

The staff always does a great job and the store is clean and stocked well. Only wish there was a way to expand the pharmacy. The amount of customer base they have I wonder if every person in the county uses this pharmacy. Do note- if you’re like me and picked this pharmacy because of the hours (24/7) and convenient location, have patience when picking up prescriptions. This pharmacy is packed always. The staff works hard to help people to the best of their ability, but due to the workload there is generally always a wait time.

If I could leave a lower review, I would. On numerous occasions, including today they will tell you to come back in 20 minutes, and your medicine will be ready, today I was picking up medicine for my four-year-old daughter, they told me to come back in 30 minutes, so I said okay and left, went and sat down and ate a meal, then drove back to Walgreens, sat in line for 20 minutes, just for them to tell me to give them another 20 minutes. My daughter is exhausted, and I am now aggravated at the run around I keep getting. I went inside furious and spoke to the pharmacist Chris at the consultation counter.. he had no compassion or understanding, he told me that he doesn't know what the confusion is, that the medicine is in, and that I would need to just get back in a line ONCE AGAIN. Very aggravated as any parent or person would be I explain to him I have already done this 1000 times with the line and I am not getting in a line again to wait for medicine. That is already ready, I told him I just wanna go ahead and get it right now, and he said that he needs to fill other peoples medicine.. and I need to go to the back of the line of the cashier pharmacy line. mind you, there is probably 15 people in line, and a long line of cars in the drive-through. I wish I would've just had my medicine sent to Walmart.. the pharmacist and help to get peoples medicines filled and processed or accurate wait times consider hiring some help!! It's not fair that customers have to suffer!

Continued to file the wrong insurance, charging me significantly more than I should have been charged. Every time I tried to tell them, they would argue with me and insist that they were doing it the way it is supposed to be done. So the next prescription I had I took to CVS. It was free like it was supposed to be. I've have now transferred all of my prescriptions to CVS. Got three of them filled today and they were all free as they were supposed to be. Oh the money I wasted trying to give Walgreens a chance. I should have gone to CVS long ago. Don't make the same mistake I made, they will overcharge you. Not to mention terrible customer service skills!!!!!

This place had terrible customer service,both lanes at times dont move for 20 minutes. They are so ignorant they give attitude instead of listening to your visit.neighborhood pharmacy I wouldn't go there but its the only 24hrs for 45miles. Longtime Walgreens customer but CVS is better Ive heard across the street .they stereo type patients that need monthly pain meds . Disability shouldn't be so hard.

Very kind, courteous staff in the Pharmacy who don't hesitate to answer questions and take concerns seriously. The employees at this Walgreens location have made taking care of my husband both before and after his surgery much easier.Special shoutouts:•The gentleman who works mid-shift (I think) with the glasses and brown hair– He is very quick, efficient, and always cheerful.•The woman who works up front in checkout with short, light hair during nightshift– Very sweet, down to earth, and easy to hold a brief but pleasant conversation with. I look forward to seeing her when I stop by for necessities after work in the evenings.Even when they're super busy, they're all still very polite and do their best to take care of each customer in a timely manner.Overall, 5 stars. Wonderful customer service, and a clean and well-stocked store.

The wait times in drive thru are beyond horrible, call after 8am is a frustrating joke because you stay on hold 20-30 minutes just to get hung up on. Takes days to get multiple medications filled. The inside line moves as slow as the drive thru lines. That being said Tasha is completely awesome and there's another young girl that is. The 3rd shift pharmacist is very nice and helpful the man and the shorter blonde woman. The staff up front are great, have always been friendly with me. Prices are too much. Bought a box of goody headache powders 9.99. At Walmart they are 5.78 and food lion 6.19. Gouging for sure.

What’s the point in having the express pay app/line in store and not honoring it? This Walgreens Pharmacy does not use their express pay line, I got told to go to the back of the line. They never answer phone calls, and if they do you may be told to hold please 5 times in a row.

I’ve had multiple experiences with this particular pharmacy staff that have made me want to leave this review, but until today, I’ve held back since I worked in retail for many years (and know what it’s like on the other side of that counter.)Today, I approached the pharmacy at 10:45AM (on a weekday,) and I was the fourth person in a single line. I stood in line for 9 minutes and realized that I was actually in the COVID-19 vaccine line. By this time the customer in front of me had left due to the wait, so I asked the customer in front of them if they were in line for a vaccine. He was so I moved to the designated “drop off and pickup” line. I stood there for 5 minutes as another pharmacy employee walked past me, out onto the floor, and back into the pharmacy. At that time, the tech working with the same vaccine customer he was working with when I got in line 14 minutes before said, “There’s a single line right now.” I said, “I need to pickup something. I don’t need a vaccine.” He replied, “there’s only one me right now, so there’s one line.”I could see 5 employees in the pharmacy area. The gentleman at the register, the one who walked past me to go out on the floor, a tech, the pharmacist, and a tech working the drive-thru. There is no excuse for making customers wait 15 minutes+ to pick up medication that is ready when they are the third person in line.I’ve always thought of Walgreens as convenient, but the staff at this store's pharmacy hinders them in both service and attitude.

The pharmacy is the rudest pharmacy I’ve ever been to and I was just there for cold medicine I feel sorry for anyone who gets meds there. The guy was a complete and utter jerk the entire time we were there. When we asked for a manager to speak with about his attitude and throwing our stuff in a bag. We were informed that they didn’t have a manager on duty. The “shift lead” then asked ok well what do you want me to do about it? I don’t know your job maybe tell him to not roll his eyes huff and throw customers stuff around? Possibly anyway was considering transferring my meds there but yeah no thanks.

I usually love Walgreens and the Boone location has friendly fast pharmacy service. The Wilkesboro store however is very disappointing. The service and staff in the store area is fine but the pharmacy is pathetic. The pharmacy techs are rude, and it routinely takes over an hour to get through the line...whether you drop off/pick-up inside or the drive thru. That's an hour for the line to drop off, an hour for the line to pick up. Add to the wait time another hour if your prescription isn't ready when they tell you it will be and you have to go back through the line. I'm telling everyone i know to go elsewhere. Heed my warning, or wait half a day to receive rude agonizingly slow service.

Have had some bad experiences in the past, it seems management has done a good job of doing away with some of the rude staff members. Always cool coming to chat occasionally. Great job with cleanliness. Some of the wait times in the pharmacy could be better. Great 24/hr location. Decent selection of products.

Horrible, staff is either to slow, or understaffed. The drive through is crowded, the medicine they call in to say is ready is not, I came in asking for my inhaler, which they had 3 hrs to have ready. When I got their, still not ready and was feeling very sick that when I alerted them that I was feeling dizzy and needed it bad. It took them over 30-45 mins. I'm changing location, because they can do better then this.

Consistently the worst/slowest pharmacy experience. Brame Huie Pharmacy is a quarter mile away. Go there if you can deal with the more limited hours.

I have been going to this pharmacy for about 6 months. I live 30 mins away, call every time prior to pick to see if my medication is ready , they say yes. So I drive up there, I get there to pick up my medicine and it isn’t ready for some reason, my insurance is kicking it out or something every time. Even though I have a pre approval from my doctor and insurance. I will be taking my business else where. This place is a joke, rude employees very unprofessional. I have worked in customer service for 15 years and I have never been so disgusted with a pharmacy or any place for that matter. Don’t do business here. If I could give them 0 stars that wouldn’t be good enough for me.

Shopping in the store isn't bad but pharmacy brung a sleeping bag! Drive through is a nightmare!. I go through there every Wednesday and just turn my vehicle off because no matter where I'm at in line it's going to be at thirty min.

I shop here atleast 1x a week and I always have friendly staff. But it's always so dang hot! I hate having to go inside and a stand in line just to be hot and uncomfortable. I know it's hard on the employees because they're usually sweating. I've heard several other people complain about how hot it gets in there. But as far as he store it's always clean and I can find what I need.

One of the managers there, jayde, was very rude to me today... I had some packages to drop off at the FedEx counter and they were pre labeled and ready to go all I needed to do is just hand them to somebody, but because I know one of Jade's best friends and that girl doesn't like me because of some past issues she treated me completely unprofessional.... she gave me a rude look and then walked away from the counter when it was my turn in line and I was standing there for a good 2 or 3 minutes before I heard her ask one of the other girls who wasn't even working the counter to go take care of me... Completely rude and unprofessional! but that's not the only bad experience I've had there I've also had a bad experience in the pharmacy drive-thru we're waiting for my medication I was next in line and I had a staff member totally ignore me for over 5 minutes to the point where I pulled my car around and went inside the building.

Set in the drive thru for over 20 minutes while the staff ignored me. Went inside no one in line and still got ignored.. I'm changing all my prescriptions to CVS and D-Rex.. staff was rude and extremely hateful.. This place could use a better management.. very dissatisfied..

This is the busiest walgreen s ever. They did a good job filling my prescription when doc called it in. Only had to wait 20mins. Which is not bad considering the line at pharmacy.

Horrible customer service, very rude and not knowledge at all! We will continue to use Millers Creek Pharmacy even if we have to wait til the next day for our prescriptions. Wait time is terrible and they are so slow.
