I love Big Lots! One of my favorite places to shop!! This week, I bought 2 sets of Queen sheet sets,800 thread count, on sale for $18.99 a set.... Went to Walmart's and found the exact same set and brand .... $59.99!!! I got 2 sets for less than that, I love a good deal. Shop Big Lots and save money. 😊❤️

Great store with plenty to choose from! The bathrooms are a hot mess, though. The floors in there need to be scrubbed, and toilets need to be checked hourly. They flush slow so people don't take the time to make sure everything went down.Otherwise, it is a great store with really nice and helpful employees.

I have been searching for a full size platform bed frame for my daughter that has to have it within two days for college. I have tried to get one online and use store pickup from Shelby, NC to Boone, NC with no luck until the Hickory store said they had some in Newton, NC. I preceded to call the Newton store and asked could I pin one down and Vince (employee) tells me they have plenty then I ask if I can just pay for it over the phone or how can I get the pickup option. As I would be traveling an hour and a half away to get it. He preceded to tell me he only has one and I explained my travels to get to him and he did say he would put my name on it but when I asked for his name he hung up on me. I called the store back and told Nicole my situation and she only reconnected me to this man. This is when I asked his name and he said he thought I was finished with the conversation. I told him if he is busy he can call me back but I have questions. He said he’s not busy and he rudely revealed his name and answered my question shortly about a bed in a box. He didn’t want to answer any details for the bed in a box either. I’d hope you all would definitely let him know this is not a good way to do any business. I can pretty much assume he is an hourly employee that is a clock watcher. No cares about the customer is the least I can say.

This Big Lots is very run down, and in desperate need of remodeling.The store is very "dirty looking". The ceiling has water damage and missing tiles, and The employees don't great you , I realize it's the "Busy" season. But a smile I promise will Not Hurt.

I like going here the employees are friendly I guess if they know you or if they don't know you that's the way they are and I always find that little thing that I could always use for my yard or the house especially around the holidays

I checked out this store, always a treasure hunt at big lots. I was not impressed with the layout of the store...it was chopped up and scattered without a good flow pattern. Items that should have been together were shelved at a distance of several isles and randomly stocked. The appearance was cluttered and a bit dusty. One redemption for the store was the clerks were courteous and friendly.

Disappointed. We go and find $1,000 in furniture, 2 pieces, and find a store associate. He tells us we can't buy it, they don't have any, yet there we stand looking at the piece we want. They cannot order any more, don't know when they will get more, they may be discontinued soon, not sure. Can we by the piece sitting in front of us? He asks a manager who says no. This place is a joke. They don't want to sell anything, that's for sure. To get anything, I have to drive 20 miles to another store to get one of the two pieces we want.

Not a lot of personnel. Most of them were super rude (especially the furniture guy). Only decent one was our cashier. Store was a total mess, but they did have a nice sale.

The store is well kept and always stocked. The merchandise is mostly good quality although I've had a few issues with furniture and electronics. The back of the sofa we bought has collapsed and Bluetooth speakers have just stopped connecting. They offer a leasing program to purchase furniture which is a nice option when you don't have the money to pay all up front.

This place is really cool it has all kinds of different stuff and the prices you can't beat you never know what you're going to find here that's what I like about Big Lots so much is they have different stuff all the time and it's new cheap priced stuff I recommend it to anybody for Christmas shopping or just stuff you need around the house or if you need a weed eater you might go there and find one of those for $69 that's what I did it was a good Weedeater I mean it wasn't the best or nothing but it did what I needed it to do

We went to the Hickory Big Lots looking for a love seat. They didn't have any in stock but checked their computer and said Newton had 2. We went to Newton and they said there was none in stock. Maybe I should give them 2 stars instead of 3.

I came In the Newton store to look for a full mattress. They were all out of that size,but said they would order it. I told the guy which one I wanted. He took my name,address,telephone number,as well as email. Said he would call in a week,2 weeks tops. He said I could pay in full or %10. I'm glad I only did the %10,because it has been going on 2 months,and I havent heard a word. When I called,they said I had to come in with my receipt. That my info wasnt enough.

I parked in the parking lot—I did not go in the store. I had an unpleasant experience in the store some months back. I complained to corporate and got no resolution. As a result I no longer shop there. (No, not a Karen—this is the only time I have ever complained to any “corporate” in ten years.)

This review only applies to the big lots in the newton conover area. It's a standard big lots, still a little random but not as much as it used to be. It would be 5 stars but, every minute or so they play the credit card add over the radio. Like after EVERY song. None of the other big lots I've been in have done that, and frankly it starts to get annoying after 5 minutes. Makes it difficult to do any extended browsing there.
