I didnt know that they cater i love it everything was perfect i will be returning to them to handle my future catering services in the i got my moneys worth and then some i reccomend anybody that a function coming up and they dont feel like cooking the food lion in newton grove is the way to goThank to ladies in the deli in food lion i will be returning for future catering even or birthdays that i coming up

Unfriendly Service with Hostile Environment!! Stocking employee was really rude when looking through the frozen fruit section. Very dismissive attitude when asked if they had it in the back; didn't even check & continued with a hostile attitude while I shopped by slamming boxes on the ground. To make matters worse I gave my phone number to the cashier (Cashier#0141; Register#004, Store#02595) for the MVP card and said there was none on the system; which would have been understandable. He swiped the "store mvp card" and said he couldn't give me an MVP card (Store MVP# 46999999999 Ticket# 0277) to use on the purchase. I should have just waited to go to Sam's Club where employees are friendly & cheap.

Has a variety of cakes at the Bakery section if you dont see what you want or like they will try their best to help. If the lines are long one of the staff will open a register to cut the line shorter.

Here's an update! It's still a GREAT PLACE! Even BETTER now that I work there lol!I have been going to this Food Lion for going on 15 yrs now and all I can say is that it has gotten friendlier and more helpful throughout the years... Thank You to All the Kind, Helpful & Friendly Staff You Have! Thanks so much for All My cash back help! AND definitely to the lovely cashier Ms. Amanda! who has helped me since My wallet was stolen and My pay card too! 😊

This is always a clean and organized store that you can tell that the management cares. The produce was well stocked, and the bakery was clean.Shelves were stocked and clean as well.

Good selection of most things, one of the more economical chain grocery stores.They do a fair job of keeping the lottery kiosk stocked, but not good about cashing winning tickets.

Best part of a small town is the local grocery store. Always a pleasant shopping experience never like shopping anywhere. Prices always great for the pocket. Absolutely love it!!!! 6 years have gone buy shopping here and everything is still as great as it was when I first went.

Good prices 👍 2for4's and 2for5's one dollar juices. Meats went up and some employees are awesome helpful and patients. The others are racist , rude , NOT HELPFUL and almost always annoyed to see a customer with a full buggy or two black people laughing or customer service is bad for seeing you there but not coming to you as well.

The workers are very friendly. I was having back pains and needed a case of water.One of the stockers heard me mention it and put it in the cart for me. I was so grateful cause she was busy but stopped and helped me . It's rare finding people with compassion these days. Will definitely go there again!!!

Always clean and friendly. The people there are great. Service is usually fairly quick even at rush times. For the most part you can easily find what your looking for and if they don't have it they make sure it comes in asap. The manager Robert seems to be respected and well liked by his employees and people in the grove

horrible customer service, was asking for help and 3 boys were too busy talking to each other and bluntly ignored me. were very rude and oblivious. i had to literally walk behind them as they kept walking away faster talking to each other, even after i clearly said excuse me a couple times. i do not recommend this food lion.

I love my hometown Food Lion in Newton Grove NC! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I never have to wait long in line.Still the same,best place to shop, and some employees have made it a point to befriend my autistic grandson and they love him to pieces!

Cashier wasn't friendly, whatsoever(didn't greet nor said, "have a good day"). Cashier also seemed agitated because I had a grocery cart overflowing with GROCERIES, as well as seeming agitated that I chose her register to cash out my grocery transaction.The attitudes of a few of the cashiers, as well as a manager, were atrocious.😒👎🏿

Shopped here since its opening. Good selection, excellent staff. Downside - large sign stating masks are REQUIRED to shop there, but about 1/4 of the patrons are mask-less, as were several of the staff. Staff needs training on proper wear (we are "nose-breathers," and several has their mask only covering the mouth). If staff is not going to follow the rules, why should anyone else? Enforce, or drop the requirement (I don't like it either, but it is an evil we will get past).

Always is neat and clean , also usually has everything I go to get most of the time, little bit off with all the shortages and pandemic and the lack of people wanting to actually work for a pay check instead of waiting for the government to just send out free money ! Sorry so long . !

In response to another review, the store does have several openings. There may not have been an opening in the dept the daughter wanted to work in, but please encourage her to seek out other positions! There are positions open in deli, produce, and frozen food.

Produce section weak. They need to revisit this area of the store, especially with it being front and center as you enter the store and it does not give the customer a very nice impression. Issues with produce were: product completely out and product of very poor quality. Drinks on promo, out of stock.

I love the food lion opens early and closes lateand the people working there don't mind helping... if u want them to carry a special food or all most anything just ask the manager to get it and see how it sells please and I bet they will. awesome people. nice parking even for rv's and semi's. u can walk to some good eating places if u don't leave it parked crazy.

Food Lion of Newton Grove is a great grocery store. It is clean, the employees are friendly, helpful and professional. For a very small town grocery store they stock a wide variety of food including for diabetic, keto and atkins recipes.The store is organized, well-stocked, neat and clean anytime I have been in and their prices are very good. I am sure this takes a lot of hard work and I thank them for it.In a world where manners are forgotten it is so nice and refreshing to be thanked for doing business with at a store, when there are so many options available. Old-fashioned manners, courtesy, cleanliness, very good selection and good prices ... A+ and thank you to Newton Grove Food Lion Management and Staff!!!

Prices are good. Has lots of foods to choose from. Lines are a little long. Customer service is good. Husband accidently left a pack of meat. Got home and when he realize that he didn't have the meat with the other groceries, he went back and they put the meat back in the cooler.

We went on Friday night just before closing while the virus outbreak was going on to try and avoid the crowds. A young girl that is an employee was not wearing a mask nor social distancing. She got right behind me even after being told that I didn't want help. I am a senior that was using a power cart. She ignored me!! This issue needs to be addressed immediately!! I don't usually have problems at this location.

My local hometown FL... Can't really say anything bad about it, seems ran fairly well. Needs more vegan friendly options but they have certainly added a lot in th past couple years so kudos!
