The only employee with a smile and a good attitude was the young man cleaning in the produce area. Other than that, every employee had attitude & didn’t want to be there.

I love this place, especially when it is 15 minutes to closing and you show up right then cause you just couldn't remember all day what you needed. At that last moment though your fries brain cells pull it together one last time for that sage like clarity of all the things you need. The ladies and guys that work here put up with this idiot doing that on a daily basis with a smile and a helpful hand.

The questions I ask when I need to find or i need something explained so I do purchase the correct item they almost always say this isn't my department even though I'm in the correct area. Now, this happens sometimes at most Walmarts but quite frequently at this one. The main question is, if this is not your area, why are you in it. I know things happen short of staff covering a break, but in this one, it had to be 3 to 1 compared to th other one. Thank you for listening. It has been a while since I was in this Walmart. Things have definitely improved. Much better inventory, when I asked for assistance, I was attended to right away, and my questions were answered without any complaints. Fourth 🌟 is a must. Thank you, Walmart.

Horrible I selected 20 💸 cash back and accidentally left it. I put my groceries in the car and realized I didn't get it went back in the Walmart to get it, went to customer service so they could review the video only to be told a customer behind me got it and there was nothing they could do. Even though they clearly could see another customer retrieve the money. The cameras can see me walk away but useless to provide respectable customer service to the poor customer 😕

I'm not a big fan of this particular store. It is a quick stop place for me. I don't like the set up. It really doesn't make sense to me and I always have such a hard time finding things here. The produce isn't the best. I tend to go to other places for my produce. Some of the employees are friendly. It is definitely a hit or miss here. I have stood at the service desk waiting for help and had 3 employees walk up together, talking and not acknowledge me. I walked away that day and did my business I needed to do elsewhere.

This store is the worst EVER! If you don't search every single item you end up buying stuff that's been outdated for months still on the shelves. Milk is expired, yogurt is expired. Bread has mold all over it. Meat is turning brown.The list goes on. Nothing ever gets rotated. I was in a rush and just bought something that outdated in June! This is near the end of October. Will never go there again.

I have nothing but great things to say about this Walmart! The grocery pickup I have especially been pleased with. The staff is always very nice and polite. I have never waited for my order, they are always ready when I pull in the parking lot. Other Walmart’s I have waited over an hour for my grocery pickup. I would recommend this Walmart to anybody. Also I found a “pot of gold” in one of my bags in my most recent order last night which was a nice surprise! 😃

I will never be going to this Walmart again. I came in with my 2 week old daughter in the car seat who was crying really hard because she is not a fan of the car seat yet. The minute she started crying, employees started looking at us and coming to the isle to put eyes on us. Then we got to the register and the lady at the register kept giving my sister looks while my sister was trying to calm my baby down. Seconds later another employee stood at the end of the register and proceeded to eye us and told my sister to bring the cart to the end of the register as she was standing next to the belt and I was paying. I looked at both employees and asked if they’ve ever heard a crying baby before and the one at the end of the register asked if she was hungry and I told her no, she just didn’t like her car seat. Beings this is my first child, I felt very uncomfortable and felt like I was doing something wrong. I felt that them watching us in the store was uncalled for and it honestly almost made me walk out of the store without my groceries. I get hearing a screaming child is not fun but it’s life and it’s uncalled for when the entire store is practically watching your every move. I will continue to drive out of my way to the Walmart in morehead.

Prices are almost as good as other places but nit the best surprisingly. The deli is VERY small and they take 1/4 yp in just regukar walmart items rather than groceries. They di have a pharmacy though.

It was very clean. Prices were good. Was kind of weird because there was no one to check you out the only option you had with self-checkout at the time I was there. I guess they do have people that will check you out though they were just at lunch. Everyone was pleasant and helpful

I'm in a wheelchair so my daughter picks up my groceries from this Neighborhood Market! Everyone in the store and especially at the pick-up area are very friendly and polite! They also move very fast and thoughtfully!❤ I could not find the girls names who helped my daughter and I! Well I found the paper! Emily & Carmen ❤ are incredible! Lol I pray I have the correct paper!

I feel blessed to have easy access to merchandise in my neighborhood at a VERY reasonable price, along with excellent customer service care. The employees seem happy working their too! Nice, safe, clean & uncrowded environment.

This is my usual store but I must give 4 stars because they don't keep enough registers open when it gets busy. The people are always really nice here. It does stay pretty busy.

Very good general selection there folks. open carry friendly. polite staff too btw...love this go there every week at least 1nce. Got the big boy bottles of naked available. Sometimes you just gotta be naked for extended periods 🤣

Nice little wall mart, good for a quick in and out grocery run. Always a good amount of registers open, decent employees. Shelves ALWAYS stocked, stuff is easy to find. The pharmacy however is slow with EXTREMELY RUDE employees.

I bought 2 bottles of 20 oz. soy sauce & they expire next month! It's just my husband & I!! Even if we ate soy sauce every day,there's no way we could finish those 2 bottles!! I thought the bottles would at least expire next year!!! I'm disappointed with Wal Mart.

Great place to stop if you just need your basic home supplies. I like that it is not to busy every time I go. You can get all the food or toiletries for your home in a faster time than you could in the super Walmart. The service is good here all the time.

The store is a neighborhood market store for the Newport Area. On my visit here I noticed they have a pharmacy. The produce department are very neat and organized. Walmart Neighborhood Market is a fitting name for the location of this small grocery store in the Town of Newport.

How is it Newport can make a spark driver come from 101 to their store to deliver to other end of Havelock then Al the way back to Newport ... when I live on 101 right before ferry Rd. In Havelock and everytime I need my stuff delivered when my kids are sick or I'm not well enough to go get something.. it says not in range??I refuse to pay for insta cart or anything else if I already get membership with Walmart for free.But they will continuesly also send me all over Newport in the very back middle of nowhere as well?? The Newport store is only 6.9 miles from my house . For it to deliver by the Walmart that doesn't deliver but forget about hwy 101 is not ok.Also. Customer service sucks. They never answer the phone!! I want the routes expanded to back of cherry branch neighborhood s and white horse run neighborhood . If Uber will make me cross the ferry for a pizza. From Havelock. Y'all can do better distance for Walmart delivery.

Love this little store... Very clean, good selection, easy to navigate, no long lines (unlike the "big" Walmart, as I call it). My chief complaint is that the selection is somewhat limited (for a Walmart). But, as I see it, that is the price you pay for having the convenience of a somewhat smaller store. Still, I would estimate that the choices available are comparable to most larger, well-stocked grocery stores with the added convenience of an excellent choice of non-food items. However, I subtracted one star not only because of the selection issue, but also an access one. While they provide plenty of handicapped parking, someone dropped the ball inside the store by only supplying one motorized cart. But, all in all, I'd say they do a really good job of serving my community.

Very clean and friendly staff at checkout. However, there is a blonde woman in customer service who was extremely rude when I picked up a money transfer. She said that because I appeared heavier in my driver's license (that was 6 years old AND I'm only 8 lbs thinner) she would not accept it. I asked her how do I go about getting my money transfer. She said " you don't. You go get a new one made and then hopefully it'll be available still ". Absolutely rude and I explained that was going to take a while due to covid situation and regulations ,it could take weeks,she rolled her eyes and said "not my problem, buh buy ". I went to the supercenter and they were very polite.

I really hate having to go to Wal-Mart. If I have to go I always try going to the one in Newport. It's much better and all the employees that I've ask questions are really wonderful. They even offer to take items to your car.

Whenever I'm in the area I stop here and pick up my favorite items at really good prices...some foods some drinks and healthcare items..looked stocked and personnel are always friendly...

Shelves are always stocked way better than Walmart supercenter. The only bad thing is there's usually only 1 cashier so the line gets long. I still prefer to shop here and just do self check out.
