Pretty good place. I came here with family so I used group averages for the rating. I quite liked the place it's nice and cozy. The music isn't to loud either and it looks nice.The food was pretty good, in my opinion. A bit pricy, though, but they have great honey teriyaki sauce for the wings, tenders, and nuggets. The corn dogs are also pretty big and good.Service well. You serve yourself, so you just wait for them to call you up and take your food. It's pretty quick as wellOverall I quite liked this place and u recommend it for if your comeing back from Christmas tree chopping.

I have to say what a disappointment it was for me and my kids with food and service. My daughter ordered a corn dog with chili. And it was not cooked, it was cold. The cooks in the back as with the person in the register said, "we can't do anything about it". I was not asking for a refund, nor a new chili dog. I do not want nor hope my child getting sick from eating something uncooked. I hope they don't treat all costumers that way.

I will have to say, I enjoyed eating here. Kinda old school booths, and right beside the road ( Main Street ). I had a burger with fries and it was cooked just right. Very good. My wife had the fish plate and it was good too. Not fresh fish but good. The ladies were very nice and not much wait time. Milkshakes are Delicious too. I would recommend this place. We will be back.

Ordered pizza, had a craving. Ruined my craving.Greasy with minimal flavor.Young girls working which I understand, but pizza wasn't cut into slices. Order was wrong. Not good.This one was a no go. Not recommended at least the pizza.Sorry.

Decent Cafe, not really updated but was just right for the prices of the menu items. Not the restaurant's fault at all but a mouthy customer (who seemed to be in the wrong in my opinion) started yelling at one of the staff about her order. It was ready and on the counter for at least 15 minutes before the customer arrived. As she was yelling at the young employee another customer got up and started yelling at the first one. Some very graphic and mean things were said, which caused a third customer (retired Corrections officer) to verbally break it up. Eventually staff refunded the order and asked customer 1 to leave but this should have happened much quicker. I ate as quick as I could and left.....

I ordered the corn nuggets which is the only thing I can eat out there now. My husband asked for ranch dressing twice. They sent me a half a container, which is no where near enough. I’ve been getting disenchanted with them for a while. I’ll get corn nuggets in Banner Elk from now on. There’s a restaurant opening up across the street from the office, and they will be serving them. I am done with SanDee’s, which is sad because I’ve been eating there for over thirty years. But, family used to own it. Done.

The girl taking orders was more concerned with staring at my husband then she was her guest services which was very rude to me and as we was eating she proceeded to stare at him like he was candy!!!! Had the two girls from the back come around the back and take a look! I would have liked to sit down with my husband and enjoyed our meal but instead I had to deal with her staring glaring at me and making google eyes at him

I used to love coming up here. And maybe it's because we're in a post covid world but the quality has dramatically went down. The price point would have been justified if the quality was good. But as someone who use to work in foodservice I can tell what's high quality and isn't. For my 3 chicken tender platter, just the melt, a to go bbq platter, 5 cheesesticks, a small drink, and an chocolate shake it was $45. We almost forgot our to go order because it was never mentioned again. It's a weird gripe but I've never went to a restaurant where we ordered to go and we weren't at least told "hey your to go order is ready when you leave".And thats including big chains and small local businesses

We visited Sandee's on the way back from visiting Linville Falls. The restaurant was very hot and our food took about 30 minutes to get out to us. The drink machine was completely broken. It was either giving out syrup mix only with no carbonated water or only carbonated water was coming out. I let the staff know and she seemed very ungrateful that I informed her and simply replied, " ugghhh...I just fixed that". After 10 minutes someone came to look at it and she let the machine run for a bit and said that it was working but we would have to hold the despinser for a little before filling. We did this and the soda still didn't taste right. We settled for the very unsweet sweet tea. However, the food was absolutely amazing. The batter on my chicken sandwich and my son's chicken nuggets wad homemade and delicious. My husband said his burger was good , but the curly fries were the star.

This place was super expensive. It was over $30 for two burgers, two tater tots, and two drinks. Very small portions not worth it. The food was bland. The bun was soggy. It was just a horrible experience all the way around. I do not recommend. I would give zero Stars if that was an option.

Called in an order for 2 hamburgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, and no mayo and two orders of fries. I had to tell the girl 4 times what I wanted on the burgers. When I got home I had one hamburger with a glob of mayo on it and the fries were hard. Won't be going in there again. Sandees used to have great food and employees. Those two didn't act like they knew what they were doing.

Pretty decent as far as "diners" go. Reminds me of a Speedy Chef as far as food quality, taste, and atmosphere but 3 times the price. They do have bannana splits and a salad bar. The sandwiches are gonna be about $10 a piece and the fries($3.20) and drink($3) are separate. So for a combo it's like $15. I guess this is the beginning of Bidens America.

Food wise, dissapointing. Got a Philly and it was 10.99, definitely not worth it. Tiny sandwich and not quality ingredientsService wise, also really weird, first person lied to us and told us they were out of ice cream for milkshakes then the next people in line got a milkshake from the other cashier.Overall would not recommend to anyone and will not be back.
