The employees are great. They went above and beyond to accommodate my order. I was there with my little 4 pound Chihuahua who I had just brought home from vet. McDonald's being her favorite place thinking I take her there maybe she might perk up and forgive me for taking her to the vet. The employees showed her so much love and attention I think that was the best medicine. I can not thank them enough for treating my little fur baby like a Princess.

Ordered in drive through, waited around 10 minutes, got cold food with items missing.Look - I get it. It's McDonald's. I know you can't expect much, but this place is terrible even going by McDonald's standards. Every time I have ever gone here, the food has either been cold or something is missing from my order. I haven't really cared enough to leave a review until now. How do you manage to forget items on a single combo ordered by number? Further, how do you forget items on an order that simple AND have the food be miserably cold? If I'm waiting that long, I would at least hope that the wait was because they were waiting on food to be done. Apparently that's not the case and the food *was* ready - like 3 hours ago. Yeah, they'll hire just about anyone but... come on. It really isn't that hard.It's not like this is new, either. This has been the way this place is for years. Maybe one day this place will go under and something interesting will take its place. Newland could use a redeemable quality.

If I could put a 0 I would… every time I come here I get disappointed especially when you pay extra for something and they constantly don’t do it. The staff there is extremely rude and refuses to add the paid for stuff even when asked. I mean come on how hard is it to add just a little bit of what fudge to an ice cream???Instead they are putting less than the regular amount???

For a fast food place service is slow, most people are using drive thru. Wherever their lettuce comes from they need a new source I've started telling them to not put lettuce on my sandwiches to avoid uh stomach issues couple hours later. And if a sandwich gets mayo spread it on not just a blob on one side. 🙄 People working there don't seem to care about quality or customer satisfaction. Yesterday was the last straw, fries saturated in salt rude lady at counter took 10 minutes for them to get me fries exchanged. Another customer told me they served him sandwich the meat was gross on part and as he waited at drive thru one of the girls preparing food licked her fingers 🤦. I'm not going back to slow service, badly prepared food and attitude from staff.

I ordered a DOUBLE QUARTER POUNDER with NO pickles and this is what I got. Great Job team!This is not the first time, I think it’s time for people to understand and learn how to do their jobs.8/26/22 Update; Order again, to see if this time will be different and they will get the order right, they forgot the fries… Not even disappointed.

We went inside to eat. No one came to the front counter to take our order. I finally got someone's attention and she ignored me and just stood in front of the fry station. We are not from this area and have NEVER been treated like this at any other McDonald's locations. I spoke with the manager and she was hateful. We walked out and will not be back if we are in Newland. Very poor customer service!!

This is the worst McDonals I’ve ever been in. I’m going to be honest, I’ve never been in a McDonalds that was this dirty and nasty. I’ve reviewed a lot of restaurants and this one is the Worst. The floors were sticky and had food all over it. Bathrooms were terrible. Tables looked like they had not been cleaned all day. Food in high chairs. Drink station nasty. We will absolutely not come back here and I recommend nobody go back here until they get new management and make changes. However we love McDonalds, and will continue to eat there. So nothing personal, but this place is one of my worst restaurants to visit. (See pics) Also, the bread was old. Not like McDonalds to be like this.Edit: Well ended up back here and it wasn’t by choice but it’s still the nastiest McDonald’s I’ve ever been in. Had to wipe a table off with wet napkins. It’s to bad corporate doesn’t read these reviews. Nothing will ever change. Employees were nice tho. Asked for some mayo pack and they dumped some in a Big Mac box. Hmmm. That’s a first.

We were stuck in line for WAY too long, which would have been fine… except when we finally got to the speaker a lady answered the speaker and all we heard was “whatever.” With a huge sigh then a really annoyed greeting. We then get to the window and get the wrong drink. They fixed it no problem. Then we leave and realize half of our nuggets are really small and mishapen, and the food was wrong. I asked for them to add ketchup to my mcchicken which they did but they took everything else off for some reason. The fries had no salt… or next to none. They only good thing was the man at the window. He was super kind and fixed the drink issue with a great attitude. I get that it’s fast food but man…. I definitely won’t come back to this location when driving through.

I think the employees need more training. Every time I come here my order is wrong, or the food is cold. I decided to come a 3rd time hoping it was better and I was wrong. Food was cold, they forgot my daughter's drink, tables were nasty, very disappointed.

Food and service is horrible. This is the second time I've seen someone there working in shorts and flipflops. When she pulls down her shorts what do you think those hands are touching and she wasn't washing them.

they are back and forth with their decency as a fast food restaurant. I feel like since they are the ONLY fast food restaurant in the surrounding area of banner Elk NC you'd have a decent service everytime but for whatever reason This establishment lacks consistency for a good experience. I get great food then I get food that's been left out since the Morning shift or been in old grease because someone didn't change the batch from yesterday. seriously. do better and stay better please your all we have around our community

Our order was a total of $48 and some change to get home to completely raw chicken nuggets. Unacceptable. Kids had a a couple on the way home. Called and night manager said you have to take it up with my day manager.

This McDonald's was ridiculous! Location was Newland, NC. There weren't many customers dining inside. Maybe 4 or 5 tables were being occupied was all. All I had was a burger & some fries. My burger was NOT completely cooked. It was pink inside!!! Again, the staff was not dealing with hardly any customers, and there was plenty of staff there to handle a full crowd. They were fully staffed. All that was left to eat was my fries. It's not like the order was complicated or anything. But wouldn't you know it, my fries were stone cold! Every single one of them! Very very dissatisfied!!
