My girls and I stayed at “Rivers Edge” for the week and it was wonderful! The view of Linville River was perfect and the sound of the water running was very peaceful! The cabin was cute and fully stocked with everything we needed. I felt safe and the property was very quiet considering how close the cabins are located to each other. The property owner, Shane was easy to work with and his customer service was top notch! Thank you Shane for a wonderful cabin experience during our stay! We will be back ❤️

Love love love! Private spacious cabins! Close to ski resorts and restaurants and other sight seeing adventures. Cabin had private parking spot and deck with table and hot tub. When you go in is fireplace and tv, wonderful atmosphere and spacious perfect for what we needed. Owners were so kind and answered and helped with any concerns we had about driving or the area. Fully stocked kitchen! Lovely for a small family. Our cabin was Summer Mountain. It was a 1/1 but had futon that was large and doubled as a bed. I will definitely be back. Definitely great if you want a more private quiet place with family to have bonfire or fish in the river right behind your cabin, close to all spots too.

We booked a cabin here a couple of weeks before Christmas for Christmas weekend. My husband and two adult sons really enjoyed staying here! It was cozy and just what we needed to get away. It was only 40 minutes from Beech Mountain and right next to the Linville River. Shane Ollis, the owner, was very nice!

Wonderful place to stay. The area is beautiful with a stream running behind. Was nice sitting in the hottub listening to the birds chirping and river flowing. The bed was comfortable and it had toiletries stocked which is always nice. I highly recommend.

Wonderful! Nice and quiet Christmas getaway. We stayed at the Let it Snow cabin and even though the cabins are very close together, it was very quiet and until you were back outside and saw the other cabins you forgot that you were so close to others. If we had to say one negative, it would be the mattress, it would suck you to the middle, maybe flipping it would help for awhile. Otherwise, Shane was extremely friendly, the cabin was spotless, it had everything we needed! We had a snowstorm come through Christmas Eve and we couldn't have wished for a better place to be snowed in on Christmas day! There was a wind-chill of below zero but we stayed toasty warm. We can't wait to go back when the weather is warm to go fishing!

Awful experience. Charged me $95 for a dog and $40 for my 4 year old and 6 year old. Even though their listing on Expedia doesn't say anything about this. They also removed our blankets and bedsheets from the cabin because of our dog and refused to provide any. It was a snowstorm in the middle of January in the North Carolina mountains. I'd advise against anyone ever staying there. The manager texts over and over and over again throughout the stay.

This cabin was nice and cozy. Had an awesome weekend going to the falls and the blowing rock (the local town) The owner of the cabin was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the shower head was kinda gross could use a good cleaning and the toilet paper was 1 ply at best!! Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

I haven't stayed here yet but I intend to as soon as I can. 😃 It is so beautiful there! 😍 I could sit and swing on that swing forever. So relaxing and peaceful. A gentleman came out and spoke to us while we were there and was very polite. I think he owned it or either runs it. Either way he was very nice. I will be going for a visit as soon as I can!!

We stayed in the Mountain River cabin last weekend for my birthday trip and we absolutely loved it! The cabin was clean, stocked with all the towels and dishes we could have possibly needed and to top it all off, it was just downright cute! We were originally supposed to stay in a different cabin, but when the hot tub had an issue, Shane was very upfront about it and moved us to this cabin at no extra charge. He was super friendly and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The porch on this cabin is gorgeous! I'd love to come back during non-covid times and invite a bunch of friends over to hang out on the huge deck and have a cookout. The hot tub was perfect and it was overlooking the river and that was a nice plus. It was great for coming back after a long hike or horseback ride and soaking sore muscles. The gas fire place in the cabin was such a nice, homey touch; it came in handy for a chilly weekend in May. It was such a wonderful place to get away from the "big" city and just relax in nature without worrying about being in contact with anyone.Only complaint was the pillows were a bit hard, but other than that, no complaints from us! We hope to stay again in the future.

We loved the peaceful setting, soaking in the hot tub and watching the river roll by. We enjoyed local restaurants and shops. Grandfather Mountain is a must-see and the overlook for Linville Gorge was an adventurous drive up to the summit. Thank you!

A very peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Such a beautiful property. My husband and I took a much needed weekend for ourselves to just relax and not worry about anything for a few days. We stayed in the mountain summer cabin. It was very clean and just the perfect size for us. We loved listening to the river roll by. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river and watching little otters play. I absolutely loved seeing the church through the trees. Just beautiful! Shane the owner was very attentive and quick to answer our questions and make sure everything was going ok. We cannot wait to return for another stay!!!

We stayed here at the Let it snow cabin a couple weeks ago, and it was just amazing!!! The inside was just beautiful, and very clean. And the view the morning we got up was breath taking.. we were right on the river. The hot tub on the porch was very nice and very private! Hopefully we can book again with them soon...

Amazing place!! The drive here was equally amazing. From the moment we arrived on property you could feel the warmth and beauty of this place. The owner Shane greeted us on arrival at our cabin and made sure we got settled in without any hiccups. Any question I had was quickly met with a warm response. I would highly suggest this for any occasion but this particular one was a romantic get away for my wife and I and this place more than delivered. I suggest you experience it yourself. I stayed for 2 nights. The cabins are so close together (which you can't see that from the pictures online) there is no privacy and management is on the property so they can stop by without notice which is not cool if you're looking for a romantic getaway. There is also a $50 pet fee that I wasn't aware of . I just saw it was pet friendly and booked the dates and wasn't asked about a pet or charged at checkout so I was surprised when management knocked on the door to confront me about not getting prior approval and paying the pet fee. Unless you search the website menu (which I didn't) it's easy to miss that detail. For the price, the very, very limited internet and the inconvenience of having management roaming around (he came again to add chemicals to the hot tub) I would not stay again. But it's nice if those things aren't important to you.

Absolutely love, love, love, this place! Beautiful location where every cabin sits right on the river to give you that escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city.So if your looking for a place to disconnect from the city life...then look no further! and keep in mind, your cell phone will "NOT WORK" up in the mountains! so make all arrangements a good half hour out! prior to visiting! Learned that the hard way from our first time of visiting! Also get all provisions as needed for the duration of your stay BEFORE arriving! because the closest supermarket is about 45 minutes away! And if you want to drink a beer on a lounge chair watching the beautiful river like I enjoy doing...I would definitely suggest purchasing that before you arrive because it is a dry county and they DO NOT have any alcohol in any of the local gas stations.

The wife and I stayed here for 9 nights she wanted to go some place quiet and relaxing. We found it,the cabin we stayed in was perfect for the 2 of us plus are dog,we were disappointed in the fishing but just because we don't fly fish and don't care to much for trout they are in the river though.Shane was great quick to respond when we had a problem very knowledgeable of his surroundings and attractions,we would definitely come back Thank you Shane.

Really cool cabins! Better than I expected! Great for a quiet get away. Right on a little river. Not as secluded as some of the pictures make it seem but still really nice. NO cell service for some carriers but they do have WiFI :) Verizon network is what everyone has around there.

If you want beautiful scenery, a perfectly put together cabin, and a hot tub, you have found your next vacation destination. Inn keeper is always available and very helpful. Very secluded and relaxing. What are you waiting for??

At LRLC you get what is described on the website but there are a few things to keep in mind before booking.* The attached photo shows there are 10 cabins on the property, 5 of which are for rent. They are super close to each other and though vegetation between each cabin does offer SOME privacy, each deck is in plain view when walking by the river or down the road. So consider packing a spare sheet and perhaps they will hang a few outdoor shades at deck entrances & sides.* They are on a septic system so be aware, it comes with single ply toilet paper. It's to be expected so don't be shocked.* The cabin was very clean. Not a dust bunny to be found inside or on the deck. The bed, pillows, sheets & blankets were in great shape and the kitchen provided a everything we needed to cook 2 full breakfast and dinners but you will need to pack oil, butter, sweetener, etc. as its not their responsibility to provide.* Be aware that if you select a cabin with a futon as the 2nd or 3rd sleeping option, in general they are quite uncomfortable so anyone sleeping on it may not have the same restful experience as those in the bed.* The river runs fast here and though we did see some older kids tubing the 200 yards or so adjacent to the property, its not a place for small kids to wade in the water and play .* In closing, for a clean, comfortable place to stay that is in the perfect location for the falls, Boon, Banner Elk, Grandfather mountain and more, you can't beat it but if you are seeking privacy, romance or you have a noisy group, this is not the place for you.
