This place is managed well. You can tell by how clean it is and it is well stocked. Huge variety. They have a deli, and a salad bar. Large selection of meats and produce as well. The place is well lit and seems to be very safe. I highly recommend this place for sure. We will be back.Edit; I love Ingles, and my wife and I love to eat here. They have amazing food in the deli! However you might as well call it the break room for employees. We had employees sitting at 2 tables beside us. Got to hear some foul language and some bad stories about the store itself. So we won’t go through that again. We won’t eat inside again. Employees should be in the break room not running customers off.

All the other groceries are lowering their prices, except for this place. You can pop into Roses next door and get cleaners (same brand name) for less than half the price. Come on guys -- let's have some integrity. Lowes grocery in Banner Elk is way cheaper on exact brand products. I would buy more here if you would be more ethical with pricing.

I do nearly all my grocery shopping here. One thing has disturbed me recently. I love their rotisserie chickens but they are getting smaller and smaller. I would pay more for a chicken I could get 2 meals out of. The one I bought today was again smaller than any I have previously gotten and was not enough for 2 meals. If they get any smaller they will be robbing the baby chicks.

Love grabbing lunch here from the hot bar! It's always so delicious and fresh! All the associates are polite and helpful, I was helped by Cody B. and didn't even have to wait 5 mins. Keep up the wonderful work yall!!! ☺️

Super clean store. The atmosphere is nice and items are well organized. I love how the store is nicely lit throughout. It’s hard to find grocery stores employing a butcher. You will do well buying things that are on sale here. Just make sure you bring your Ingles discount card.

Store seems nicer since it was upgraded although the bathroom area and women’s bathroom is disgusting. Such a bad reflection on the store! Definitely needs an upgrade but in the mean time a thorough cleaning is needed.The soups don’t seem to be homemade. I love soup so found that to be disappointing. The chicken soup had cut up deli meat in it!!! And then the rotisserie.chicken…don’t waste your money. Absolutely no flavor and very dry.The produce is great and the rest of the store. I’m trying to shop locally but these issues make it tough when trying to grab something quick for a simple meal.

Store is clean and staff is nice but prices are bonkers. Any meat on sale is rarely in the case. Got two rotisserie chickens Wednesday evening and too dry to eat. :-(Do they do have Hamm's!

Hard to believe someone working at a Grocery Store for $10 an hour could be so condescending. Wont elaborate much further because I’m not trying to cost someone their job but this place gets more and more unpleasant to shop at. Charges Publix prices but looks like a soup kitchen inside. I just don’t like going in here anymore too bad the county won’t allow anything nice to open up.

As a former employee I can say that the Store Manager John Greene runs a GREAT STORE! The shelves are always stocked, they always have what you are looking for. And if they don't carry the product you want, John Greene will personally order it for you. Over the years the Ingles in Newland has just gotten better!Customer service is always great, friendly, helpful, and fast!Groceries are always fresh & well stocked!And product choices are vast.

A drama unfolded today when my wife who is from out of town asked to receive the benefit of the store membership card. The immediate cashier turned her down twice and then another cashier came over generously supplying the card. The immediate cashier then got carried away and said that " the other cashier just came over because they felt bad for her".This all being said, it was not the pleasant shopping experience that my wife appreciates. She did however enjoy the price on ground meat.

Clean store, great customer service, but very expensive. It's the only grocery store in our VERY small town, and it doesn't make sense that it's as expensive as it is. I realize we live in a very touristy town.. but, we live here all the time and have to provide for our families. They should be more concerned with their regulars than with pricing for the tourist.

I always love going to Ingles. The cashiers are friendly, the stock boys informative. They almost always have great specials on products and their buy one get one deals are great money savers.Each store is clean, well-stocked (unless there's a pandemic!) with fresh foods. I can almost always find all of my needs here.

Thinking that since doughnuts are a breakfast item they should have fresh ones on the shelves in the bakery when the store opens, not wait 30 minutes after the store opens to make them!🤦 Sat in the parking lot for almost 15 minutes waiting for them to open just to get fresh doughnuts for the family only to be highly disappointed!! Only reason I gave a 4 star is the store is always clean when I go in to shop.

Ingles needs an online ordering and curbside pickup service. It's the only grocery store in Avery/Watauga Counties that does not offer this and it is quite ridiculous!Especially because Ingles prices are high.They have multiple staff just standing around up near the front every time I go there. Last time I counted 11 people up front and only 4 were doing work such as checking and bagging. This doesn't include anybody behind the customer service counter. And all the while they had been trying to get one staff person to go to the back to clean up a broken bottle and spill and not one person would leave thier chatting circles and go back and work.Ingles has a long ways to go in the way of customer service, pricing and being a part of the community. It operates as it's own island, rejecting the needs of its community.

Good service, helpful staff and management actually cares about your satisfaction. You will see managers on the floor and even asking if they can assist you. This is one of my favorite grocery stores.

North Carolina owned-that’s goodVariety greatCondition of store-need to update.Managers courteous but not paying attention to out of stock items especially in Ice cream isle.Produce great one day mediocre the next.Employees not very personable especially managers. Seems to be no real interest in managers as to your shopping experience.

A little expensive for my budget, expect for the hot bar. You get your money worth if you get a dinner plate. It's $5-6.00 for 1 meat &2 vegetables & a roll &the food is fresh & hot.

The only big grocery store in the town of Newland. Prices are average. Most employees are nice and respectful. Others are disrespectful, if you got more then two items in your cart they will send you to a different line so they won't have to work.Update employees are still disrespectful they are a few good ones. But they still have a few that make rude comments happened again today. Yes I know I have a buggy full I only go every few weeks when I am completely out cause I am beginning to Despise ingles anymore. I am going somewhere else now if I can help it.

The store was very clean, all of the grocery items were well-stocked will marked and easy to find and there was a wide variety in almost every category. I compare it to a Food Lion and aloes that are within the same general vicinity and hands down this grocery store is the best of the three of them for presentation and variety and the pricing was very similar on all food items between the three stores
