Cold-climate Bosch heat pumps are the best way to be energy efficient in this day and age. In my new system, the heat pump cools when it is hot outside, and it can also reverse its flow to heat when it is cold outside. It can absorb thermal energy from the air (for heating) down to about 22 degrees Fahrenheit, at which point my propane furnace kicks in as an alternative heat source.Thank you Haskell for a phenomenal installation of my new system.

Woke up to ZERO degrees…outside !!! The OTHER contractor told us that we didn’t need HYPER-Heat mini splits installed. Crawford insisted that we did. So here we are Warm and Comfy. They replaced my HVAC system, heat pump, air handler and furnace. Delivered as promised. About 18 months later (this weekend) the thermostats went dead. I called and they walked me through basic diagnostics I could do myself. It was more than I could do.They came out first thing Monday morning. Spent three hours plus diagnosing the problem, only to discover that the wiring had a short in it and it had to be replaced. They considered this a warranty repair. This GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one would have done this other than the folks at Haskell Heating and Air.I would recommend them to anyone in need of a new system, repairs or maintenance.

Daniel arrived at exactly the time he told us. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and promptly returned to make the repairs. He always wore shoe covers, was very courteous and answered all our questions. The bill was emailed to us and we were very pleased with the reasonable price. We are very happy to have found this company! Daniel measured for a mini split system that we can use in a room that we have trouble heating and cooling, so we’re excited about that too! If you need someone who will go above and beyond for you with your heating and air needs, look no further than Crawford Haskell and his team!! We had an emergent situation when the heat of our 1-year old HVAC system at our home on Beech Mountain stopped working during the January sub-zero temperatures. Our renters woke up to 50 degree temperatures, so we began making urgent phone calls to every company we could find. Crawford’s response was immediate, and he was on site in an hour. He diagnosed the problem, which required ordering a part, and he made two more trips back to the home to bring space heaters for the guests staying there. We were very concerned about the guests staying there, and he took complete ownership of the situation by doing everything he could to help us. We can’t say enough good things about Crawford and the Haskell team!!

I was in a real bind; my main source of heat (Kerosene) had stopped functioning at the first sign of winter early in Fall. I ordered a Mr. Cool system, only to find out that it wasn't a proper fit for my electrical setup at the house and that my rural area didn't accept that kind of direct heavy delivery. I reached out to Haskell Heating and Air, and explained what was happening in my home. I shared with him my main areas of heating issue in the common areas, which were more open and draftier because of large windows for lighting. With just a few pictures of my space, he and a brief walkthrough of my home to verify setup safety for installation, he was able to give me a quote for an installation that was reasonable for the cost of equipment and the time (not to mention energy and possible medical bills!) I saved in a DIY installation. He made sure I had heat for the first freeze of the season, and I am really grateful for that. I would recommend Haskell Heating and Air for the best quality heating and air service for optimal home comfort.I would recommend HHA for anyone looking to have comfort in their homes, especially in Western NC—where the weather is just a little bit unpredictable!I picked a Mitsubishi minisplit, based on his recommendation, my unique needs, my available income, and personal values. This system will give me a tax credit and rebate that will add to the overall value of the investment. What I learned, as I was advised, the unit is best operating in the zone it is located in. It is technically heating the whole home, but the room it is in is definitely the most comfortable. If I were to do an install again in the future or to recommend one for someone else, I would likely select a multi-head unit so that I can have an indoor unit for each room that tends to get drafty on the coldest days.The indoor units take some getting used to in terms of visual aesthetic if you are accustomed to baseboard ducts, which are pretty much out of sight out of mind, but they are much less of an eyesore than I was expecting and 100% silent. I am also really excited about not having to purchase air filters anymore. Haskell installed a new Bosch heat pump at my moubtain house and as a design-build contractor with decades of expereince who has hired multiple HVAC contractors over the years I can say with certainty that Crawford Haskell and his team are the best of the best. My only regret is that most of the homes I own are in different parts of NC ranging from the coast to the Triangle area to the Triad area and are too far from Haskell’s business for him to take care of all of my homes and properties.

They then designed and installed a new system that is 'light years' better than any other heat pump system I have ever had at our other homes.
