My parents live in Newland. I come about once a month and Back Alley Pickers is always a stop on our self proclaimed antique hunts. Over the years, my mom and I have gotten some beautiful things from here.They recently updated their space. It's absolutely stunning! The vignettes are each staged beautifully.Pro tip: buy it when you see it or it will be gone! I also included an image of a recent acquisition of a bunny motif planter. My mom picked it up last week and I was up there yesterday. Couldn't wait to go home and add it to my home.Until next time!

This is an awesome shop. Multiple sellers have booths, so there is a large variety of antiques, handmade, housewares, decor, etc. The inside is very artistic and uniquely decorated. We really enjoyed exploring this store! The outside is unassuming brick and no way indicitive of treasures you will find inside.

Love, love this shop. Must go every time I'm in town. Lots of assortment and good prices. Have purchased quite a lot here over time. Can't wait for them to reopen in the Spring.

When I first visited here in early-September of 2023, though I was a tad disappointed that the items they had for sale were not 100% "old stuff" as what I had expected from every antique store I've been to, everything inside, from the individual booths to even the checkout counter, was GORGEOUSLY decorated to match with the autumn theme, giving this store a lavish yet down-to-Earth welcoming atmosphere; amazing work by the friendly staff!

My husband and I stopped here during a recent visit to neighboring Banner Elk and I'm so glad we did! It's decorated so cute and had so many things I loved. Best part is their prices are fair so you can actually buy multiple items without breaking the bank. I will definitely be back!

I am from Florida and travel often. I love to shop in unique stores. This has been by far the best store I have found. Each time I have visited I have not left empty handed. The store is amazingly decorated, very clean and prices that are lower then what I have seen else where. No matter what direction you are traveling from take a few extra minutes and visit this place you won't be disappointed. Nice people! Great selections! Unique items! Great Prices!

My husband and I visited this lovely store last weekend. I have to say I love this store!!! We live near Asheville and there are lots and lots of antique stores that are way over priced so I was pleasantly surprised when we visited back alley pickers because their prices were great!! I’ve never bought much from the stores in Asheville because the prices stink but I bought a beautiful antique crib for an amazing price from back alley pickers. The store is beautifully decorated and very well organized and not over stuffed with things. You don’t get overwhelmed with stuff because the layout and decorations are so well thought out. You can tell the owners put a lot of time and thought into the store. The owners were super friendly and kind. We will definitely visit again on our next trip!!

I love this store! It's arranged so beautifully and has an ever varying selection! I never leave empty handed. The owner is kind and charming! I love the little touches like complimentary hot beverages and candy jars for my kids!

Truly one of the best "junque" shops in NC. Fantastic selection of home decor small furniture, dishes & whatsits. A caution here is that stock moves fast. If you want it, buy it or it'll be gone. Prices are good & it's a fun place to browse if you are just out & about for the day.

Awesome place to visit and find old merchandise that is in very good condition. It was a long walk down memory lane being in this store. Most of the things reminded me of my grandparents' houses I would visit as a kid.

This is a great shop with very friendly people. There is a great mix of antiques and reproductions. The prices were very reasonable and we walked out with more than we intended because of that. We will be back.
