Was having a hard time finding smaller mens dress pants here. It seems the internet has had a huge effect on department stores since the Covid outbreak so based on the last couple years it's a hit or miss when going to find specific items.

This store is very disorganized and dirty. The carpets are stained and there are clothes everywhere. Clothes were stacked up in the dressing room and all over the floor in the dressing room. Staff was not very friendly or helpful except the older gentleman who worked in the shoe dept. I will always go to the Belk store in MHC or Jacksonville.

Customer service / checkout staff was MINIMUM so all were all overwhelmed and one in particular in the Men’s Suit and shoes area very RUDELY announced at 3:40pm while she was checking one customer out “I am leaving at 4pm and will be closing my register so all of you will need to go to another register!” as 4 other customers and I had been waiting in her line for our turn for 15mins or more each!!! Understand that everyone has a time to get off work but if you are a customer facing associate than you don’t speak to customers so ignorantly and also don’t just leave them waiting only to close your register, you let them know before the stand in line POLITELY that they need to go to another register as you will be closing before you will be able to serve them OR you call a manager or another associate over prior to closing to assist the waiting line of customers whom are paying all their paychecks. This is an issue (lack of service overall) at this Belks location EVERY TIME I have been in the store. More than once my wife and I have left our purchases and just ordered same products on Amazon that day due to waiting to check out for 20-30mins or more. Management needs to get it together or Belk will just close the store!!

This store seems very understaffed. I’ve often left after not being able to find anyone to help in the shoe department.The credit card pitch is also highly predatory. I assume this is based on training from management, but after watching an associate put extreme pressure on an elderly customer to sign up, I left again, disappointed in the store.I was hesitant to leave a poor review on our only department store in town, but the credit card pitch was that inappropriate.

Nice people. clean store. Some good deals to be had but don’t go assuming everything is as good of a deal as they say. They’re regular price has been in some cases no where near what other stores charge as regular. Bought underwear at 30% off regularly 44.95 for 30.80 realized I had got the wrong kind and decided to look at other stores that were charging an everyday price of 21.98. They do have some just don’t go believing everything they say as being gospel.

Sad store. Carpets very stained. Products so crammed together its hard to find anything. Quality is often poor. Bad seams, cheap fabrics. Trying to go during a sale is challenging. Might b on sale. Might not beStaff is usually wonderful.

It seems more attention is made in stocking and organizing than customer service at this store. There is usually one or two cashiers with a long line but plenty people on the floor stocking. Isn’t the purpose to actually sell the merchandise? Stocking is pointless if you can’t accommodate customers making a purchase. You do not see these long lines at the Morehead City Belk.

Found some great sales and am always happy with the quality of their merchandise, but it was uncomfortably warm (or just plain hot) in there and I wasn't able to look around as much as I would have liked. I had to go outside to cool off. I am happy with the purchases I did make,

The clothing is more fashionable than a few years ago but still overpriced for mediocre quality. The cashiers completely ignore you. I stood in front of the register with my overpriced jeans as the cashiers talked and laughed with each other and another customer who was already checked out. Finally, someone from the beauty department offered to ring me up, never again.

Not really a great selection for younger women/men and teens, or even for someone who wears a more classic look (and one tiny rack of surfer brand clothes does not make a "teen" section). That withstanding, my main issue is that the clothing racks in the womens' section are so on top of each other that it is hard to navigate or even find a style/brand/option. It would be great to see less merchandise crammed into a small space and a better selection/brands covering a wider age range. Will hope for a better experience in future as Belk is new to me.

Went to Belk to do some Christmas shopping and like the time before this outing the store is grossly understaffed. On the particular evening I was Christmas shopping there were only two employees running cash registers! Both of the ladies were helpful and friendly and were a pleasure to chat with. The store was in a total mess but with only two ladies working the registers there wasn't anyone to straighten the store up. The boys dept is a total joke as it's tiny and doesn't have much to offer. If they don't change the direction the store is going on I don't expect them to be around much longer.

I like Belks in New Bern better than any other local Belks store. They have a good selection and great sale prices. The store is neat and clean. The only thing that I would suggest is open more registers.

I did visit this store. Belk in New Bern had a lot of sales all around the store. I did notice a lot of items I wanted to purchase. The store was well organized. Long lines of customers ready to check out. You can hear the excitement of customer eager to purchase from this store. I left smiling I will return to this location.

Their air conditioner has been broken for months. I hate shopping when I'm sweating. I feel sorry for the employees having to work under those conditions.

Was there 3 weeks or so ago and they had nothing new. Out of sizes, terrible design of clothing. No wonder they are run over with clearance clothes. They need to hire different people that is doing the ordering for them. Not just this store but all as a whole. Though the associates were very nice and helpful.

Went to look for a birthday gift for my daughter. Salesperson took her time waiting on me. Got what I wanted at a great price. Store was clean with lots of eye-catching displays. Items in this store can be rather costly but they have lots of sales throughout the year.

Staff seems annoyed when you are asking for help or just want to be checked out. Stock is limited or over abundant with things that they are trying to get rid of. Not a store I will frequent again

This is a good place to shop for clothing, jewelry and some housewares. Staff is helpful without being intrusive. Prices are very competitive and there are frequently great deals to be had. Did most of my Christmas shopping here and had an enjoyable time. When checking out, staff will almost always apply coupons that are available, even if you don't ask or know. My only suggestion: better department signage is needed. At times, I find it tough to figure out where to find things. Also, clothing racks are often over stuffed. Makes it hard to browse.

Pretty sure that they get all of their stuff as rejects from other Belk stores. The last three times I've been in here, because it's one of the few clothing stores we have, they have not had one single pair of nice pumps in the women's shoe department. Like not even a classic black leather.

I went for Clinique makeup. They never have my color. The woman was hard to understand and didn't seem to understand me either. I'll order online now. Very sad.
