Huge T.J. Maxx store with easy access from both East and Westbound US 158. My son was able to buy most of my two grandchildren's school clothing for the coming year, most of which had been marked down to clearance prices. My wife was also able to get a couple of new outfits that had been placed on clearance. Good shopping day.

The store was really nice and clean . There were plenty of people to assist with anything we needed. There were a lot of stuff in clearance. We was able to find what we needed for under twenty dollars.

I needed some Crocs and they had a pair my size for a good price. Other than that, there was nothing extraordinary that stood out to be about this store. Happy and friendly employees who go out of their way to accommodate you always earns another star or two.

Decent finds and clean store. I wish they'd make people wear masks the appropriate way though. Only about 25% of people wear them properly and no one observes the 6 ft distance during checkout line. I like visiting when it's not as busy to keep away from people. You'll still find a good deal though. Definitely not the place for "HomeGoods" so be sure to go to mile post 14 for those items. This one is your place for clothes, bags, toys, etc.

Rain had brought in many tourists. Store was well stocked, fall accessories have arrived and you saw hints of it in some departments.Laughter, talking and enjoying shopping made for a pleasant trip.Love my new leather bag.

T.J. Maxx is pretty cool and they have a lot of clothing and household items however, the selections are somewhat limited. If you see something you like and they have the right size....grab it! I wish they had storage at this location because I found some items that I liked but they didn't have my size and as a result I left empty handed. The parking area in front of the store is pretty large. I definitely think you should give them a try! Also their prices are awesome! Not expensive at all.

I live in OBX and i shop here occasionally too but I never get to enjoy the experience because someone is always there when I shop from aisle to aisle. Today i just had enough and i bought fewer things than I went there for and left because of being constantly followed. Its seriously annoying.

I have to admit that I am so addicted to this store. I love the employees who are always willing to be of any help. As a collector of Rae Dunn brand items, this is my favorite place to go Dunn hunting, lol. Always enjoyable experience!

I mean, you know. It's a TJ Maxx. They're all so depressing. I wonder why all these discount department stores hate natural light so much. Anyway, this TJ Maxx is like every other one, except the people working there are a lot nicer than in New York. I guess that's worth one extra star. It's still a fluorescent liminal wasteland though.

Even though mask restrictions have been lifted and I've been fully vaccinated I was told that to enter the store I had to wear a mask. For a year we've been told to follow the science and now the science says if you're fully vaccinated you don't need a mask. I can only assume that TJ Max is more interested in virtue singling than science. That's their choice and if they don't want my money then so be it theirs plenty of stores that do.

Very large store. We noted a good collection and wide variety of typical items for a TJ Maxx. During the time of our visit there was a huge lack of employees across the OBX which resulted in one person working the checkout for a majority of the time. The line was very long. In fact I spent more time in line than shopping. Eventually a second employee came to help. If running quick errands note that your wait time has increased in the OBX.

Good store with the typical smorgasbord of cast-offs from larger chain stores. Good stuff! Good place to get bathing suits if you don't want to go to the usual beach t-shirt stores with your kids begging you to buy them a hermit crab and all the mugs and t-shirts with dirty slogans. This is just a usual Maxx experience, which is quite refreshing at the beach.

Love T.J Maxx!!! Always amazing prices for the top name brands. If I made more money, we'd always shop there for new clothes. The dressing rooms are always tidy. They have even the shoes very well organized. It makes it a lot easier to shop and find things I am looking for with them being such an organized store. Thank you guys!

This is one of the better organized TJ Maxx I've been to. Staff is friendly and they've always got a great selection of home goods and Women's clothing and accessories. Would like to see a better Men's and Boys selection though.

Listen, it's not /bad/ it's just not for me anymore. 2 dresses in the whole store. And half the store being home goods wouldnt be so bad if there wasnt a home goods right down the road. It's also very crowded right now and with covid numbers going up in our county it's really irresponsible allowing so many people in at once.

elizabeth & barbara helped me throughout my entire experience at this tjmaxx. this created a memorable experience for me and my family, they were so incredibly attentive to my needs and were very educated on where everything was. i will definitely be back to see them!

Use to love this store until today... It was so messy and aisles were blocked by large storage bins so you couldn't even shop down a couple of aisles and all the aisles were in such disarray you couldn't even find anything if you wanted too.The worst was the one lady working in the dressing rooms. I have never met such an unfriendly and down right rude person ever. I was shocked with how she treated the customers who were just wanting to try on some clothes. I have worked in retail for a very long time and i couldn't believe that her supervisors would let her treat customers this way. From the atmosphere to the rude workers me and my friend left the store and did not purchase anything that was in our carts. I have decided i'm better off going to the tj maxx in Elizabeth city. Better prices, cleaner and the workers are outstandingly friendly and the atmosphere is so much nicer!
