This place is quite quaint and very welcoming. You are welcomed by a friendly staff, art on the walls, and ??? Money in/on/around the walls. This was awesome to experience such a delicious treat so close to the beach. Toppings are always full and flavors are spectacular. One of the best places to get Gelato. And our pups loved their cups!

I’m convinced that it’s impossible not to love this place. It is absolutely stunning and decorated to perfection in a modern coastal theme. The self-serve frozen yogurt/gelato is just delicious and there are dozens of options for toppings. Price is calculated by how much your cup weighs! There are also ice cream sandwiches available and a small gift shop with tastefully designed apparel. There is ample parking and tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are super kind and friendly too! If you want delicious frozen yogurt and a huge selection of toppings, there is no better place in the Outer Banks!

Surfin' Spoon Frozen Yogurt is one of the cutest treat places in the OBX. The interior is fresh and unique, and money that hangs from the ceilings and walls goes towards great causes. The froyo and custard is amazing, and definitely worth a try. Their topping bar is also incredibly clean. Can't recommend enough for families, those with a sweet tooth, or those in need of a pick-me-up.

Easily the best combination of location, atmosphere, decor, friendly staff, and flavors and topping of FROYO in the outer banks! (For context, I’ve been vacationing in OBX for 30+ plus years and have tried many many many I’ve cream places). Not a ton of seating indoors but there is also some outdoor seating. Parking for 10-15 cars or so. Will get busy and have a decent wait during summer vacation season. Also, local owners who give back to the community and good causes. Highly highly recommended.

Long line but efficient and worth the wait. The cookie sandwich is a must. Recommend splitting sandwiches and sundays with family amazing service -- not just another frozen yogurt place. Also love the donation appreciation for kids in need. Vegan friendly too.Repeat customer. Still great service and family loves it

Perfect way to end a fun day at the beach! Great atmosphere and nice staff. We are gluten and dairy free and they had two options. Wide selection of toppings including fresh fruit Enjoyed our fro-yo. Definitely will come again.

They had two vegan options for froyo during my visit. I swirled them and it was delicious. They have ample signage letting people know that if they have allergy or dietary concerns that the staff are readily available to answer questions and make recommendations. During our stay we were looking for a vegan sweet treat that wasn't a smoothie bowl and Surfin' Spoon delivered.Vegetarian options: Most things are vegetarian but they also have some clearly labeled vegan options. Vegan desserts are rare so it was awesome to find something.

Everything about this place is next level. Great staff,make your own fro-yo cup, or cone, or...get a Sammie. There's lots of yummy flavors, tons of toppings... and it's super clean with a cool vibe. Can't wait to return!

This is the perfect spot for fro-yo. I loved every single thing about this place. From the huge French porch to the open design inside. I really appreciated how they have people wait after getting their cups before the next group goes so your froyo doesn't melt while your waiting to do toppings. Also they had a wonderful concept with putting money on the walls to make a wish and the funds going to Surfing for Autism at the end of the season. See picture below for full story.

If you love frozen yogurt, you'll love this place! Cool surf vibe with a lot of the proceeds going to help out a worthy cause. Tons of cool merchandise, including books for children. Grab a cup, fill it with frozen yogurt, add toppings and pay by the weight. Can't imagine visiting the area and not stopping by here!

Fun shop for frozen yogurts and toppings beyond belief. I had their homemade lemon cookie and blueberry lavender ice cream sandwich. OMG. My nieces girls traveling softball team and their families and coaches went and all had a blast. Lots of room out front to sit and for kids to play.

In 2013 my best friends and I moved to the outer banks from Massachusetts with less then 50$ between the 4 of us after getting settled we wanted to celebrate, we officially got moved into the ebb tide motel and we’re trying to save to get our own spot, we saw this little frozen yogurt shop while riding bikes and decided to go in there and get a desert! It was by weight and we were so low on money we all barley filled our cups… we were 18 years old hadn’t eaten much and probably looked a little rough lol but when we all went to ring up the owners saw we didn’t have much and looked at us and said fill your cups up don’t worry about what it says on there load up and enjoy it and come back anytime you want. I only hear of these levels of kindness in books and movies to have it happen when we were ina place foreign to all of us working for 7.25 an hour 10 hour days to experience the love these people shared with us stuck with me the past 11 years. Thank you surf n spoon for lookin out 💜

Cute, little frozen yogurt/ice cream shop!! The staff were extremely kind and personable. They provided a ramp since there’s a step into the business, which is great for wheelchair users. Frozen yogurt was delicious! Overall, wonderful small business!!!!

This place is beautiful! The decor alone makes it worth going to but then add the fun element of a self serve frozen yogurt bar with amazing flavors and fun toppings and it's a win win! The white ship lap, lights and beautiful beachy colors make this place so lovely! And it's so clean as well! They even have a gift shop with t- shirts and bags that say Surfin Spoon. And buy some ice cream sammies to go! We will definitely return when in OBX again!

Surfin’ Spoon is the ONLY place to go on the Outer Banks for the tastiest froyo and coolest vibes. ✌🏼 The ambiance is incredible, their new location is huge and beautiful and the staff is so friendly and kind. My husband and I have planned our last two OBX trips around when we’ll stop at Surfin’ Spoon for dessert. Plus, they support amazing causes in their community. An all around too notch spot!
