My first visit. My only thought is that the Dr. was interrupted multiple times (at least 5 or 6) by other employees asking questions. In the future I would ask for privacy so she can focus fully on my pet.

The Vets are remarkable and do wonderful with our pets. They talk to you, not at you and they listen as well. The staff is friendly, polite and professional. I'm glad (and my pups) that we found this clinic.

I was able to get a last minute appointment early in the morning, which is great thanks to my work schedule. They were great and careful with our young kitten and even helped us with stuff to know regarding her. They wasn't pushy with tests and treatments, but went over what we could do with our kitten and went over a time frame for her shots. It was a good experience and I feel safe with them taking care of our kitten. Our kitten is healthy and happy.

Dr. McMahon was very rude and judgmental. I think Gods opinion of me is much more positive than Doctor McMahon's opinion. I brought my cat there for a wound on his neck which has healed, but I really do not think that I needed to be treated in a harsh manner.And further more as a honest response to your response below, he did mention a treatment that I could not afford and besides my cat did not need it anyway since my cats wound healed and also what you call as Dr. McMahon's attitude as being direct, he was outright hateful to me and I am sure that I and other pet parents would not appreciate being yelled at which is what he did. Also if he was so much better than me instead of insisting that my cats ear's be cleaned which wasn't going to be helpful to my cats situation and he just did that to cause me to have to pay extra money just for the purpose of being a bully. If he was truly so caring toward my cat he could have recommended that he be given a topical flea treatment or something for pain which would have kept him from scratching and making his wound worse which would had made him feel a lot better rather than saying to me in a loud and rude manner that his ears were dirty and they need to be cleaned and I should have said no, that is not going to help him, but I was just in shock and did not say anything. I should have defended myself more, but have always been quite and shy. I barely had enough money to pay extra for that ear washing treatment. I could have purchased a topical flea treatment from your clinic, but because of that doctor's attitude I did not have funds left over.

The price is fair but the service is really poor. The male doctor who only works on Mondays (Dr. Mark?) was really cold and rude. No one took time to explain what was happening or if my dog was healthy during his annual visit (was he under weight? last year our old vet told us his hips were showing wear- how are they now? any signs of concern?). He took less than 30 seconds to look at my dog's teeth and tell me that "serious" dental work was needed, a tooth needed to be extracted, and that the same tooth was cracked. No one stopped to ask if I had questions or tell me anything else about my dog's health. He didn't even ask if I wanted to schedule the dental work be done. He was in the room for what felt like only a few seconds.After the doctor left I told the 3 vet techs who were still in the room that the diagnosis didn't make sense since we had just tried a different vet a month prior and were told his teeth looked good (albeit a little plaque-y). One wanted to get a second look at his teeth and started to open on my dog's mouth to get a better look. When I noticed my dog starting to panic I had to ask her to stop several times before she finally did.The reviews were so good and I was so hopeful but really disappointed with the lack of consent, professionalism, and communication from them. We've requested our file be emailed to us and will be looking for a different vet.

Dr. Linda and her staff are excellent! They go above and beyond to care for their animal patients (and their human families). She explains procedures, medications, nutrition, and all other relevant information in great detail and obviously cares so much about animals. We are so grateful to have found Burke Animal Clinic.

This place is truly wonderful. Their staff are professional and courteous. They have taken great care of my Belgian Malinois since the first day I brought her in as a rescue. There is no other place I would rather have care for the health of my dog.

Do not use this business. They will charge you for services and continue to send you bills and request payment for services you have already paid for, including harassing phone calls, paper bills, and emails. Even when you send them your receipts for each bill (I have receipts for four visits and reference numbers for both of my bank accounts), they still send you bills, call you, and email you. I had a wonderful time with Dr. Linda, but her business office and billing procedures are a mess. Honestly. Do not use her unless you want to spend years disputing purchases you have paid for. I have reported her to the Better Business Bureau because I worried she is scamming not just me but other customers.

My husband and I had to make the hard decision to have our 15 yr old yorkie Snickers put to sleep. Dr. Linda, Hannah, Kelly and the entire staff took such great care of us and our girl. I have always been extremely satisfied with the care that my fur babies have received at Burke Animal Clinic. Reception is outstanding and they treat you like you are the only client when you walk in. The vet techs are exceptional in their knowledge and so compassionate toward my animals. And then there's Dr. Linda who demonstrates awesome expertise in diagnostics, surgery, and treatment. She teaches as she explains what and why she is doing with my fur babies. I want to be a part of their care,and she allows me to be just that. I can't say enough about my experiences at Burke Animal Clinic and Dr. Linda! The team may be just what you are looking for in animal care.... they were for me.

Not only is Dr. Schilkowsky extremely well-versed in veterinary medicine, but she is also very kind and compassionate. Whenever she sees my wonderful dog of 11 years (and counting!), she always provides the best information regarding her senior care and how to ensure she stays healthy. Dr. S is also a spectacular surgeon and does amazing, clean work. The clinic even gives free nail trims while under sedation, and as a vet tech myself I am extremely appreciative of that. Overall, amazing facility, amazing staff, and an amazing doctor. 10/10

Burke Animal Clinic and Dr. Schilkowsky are so awesome! She and her staff provide outstanding care. They are not only compassionate, understanding, and patient with the furry babies they see, but also with their clients. I am very particular of who I take my fur babies too as I am a breeder, but Dr. S is among one of my most trusted doctors.Among the amazing heath care offered, Dr. S and her staff also refer out to health insurance. This health insurance can cover all routine vaccines, prescription's diets, and some also cover major surgeries. Although insurance is optional, I am exceptionally great full to have the information offered to me. I know we all want the best care for our babies and Dr. S and her staff provides that and then some.

Great Visit! We have 4 animals(2 Cats and 2 Dogs). When you arrive call them, DO NOT GO inside. They will come out and get your animal. Do the exam and then come back out and talk over everything with you. Very convenient! Thank You!

I highly recommend Burke Animal Clinic. They were phenomenal with my new puppy. It was an emergency situation and we could not get in to see our normal vet in time. The entire staff went above and beyond to work us into their already busy schedule and take care of him. I can't say enough great things!! Dr. Linda S. and Gina were amazing. Gina even came in on Saturday when they were closed to check him again and administer more fluids. Gina called me back on Sunday and Dr. Linda S. called us Monday to check in again! They were wonderful!!

I would not recommend anyone go here. Mark is very unprofessional and rude. He made the statement our very first(and only) visit that animals have no feelings they do what you say. Was told my shepherd had SEVERE UTI but could not get any meds till 2 weeks later,after calling 3 times. Was told they would email the other test they wanted to do. Never got that. We moved our business elsewhere.

I so thought I had given them a five star review on google before, but I guess I didn’t! My husband and I travel for work, we have a black lab and he has seen a lot of vets in his 3 years of life. And Burke Animal Clinic is hands down the greatest he has ever been too.In June of 2018 our lab was acting weird, couldn’t keep anything down without getting sick, a little lathargic and just not himself. I called multiple animal hospitals from Shelby-Morganton and they were the only ones that seemed concerned and got him in that day to be checked out. It turned out that he needed surgery to get a GOLF BALL out of his tummy!!!Dr. Linda Schilkowsky and her staff did such a amazing job at explaining to me what they were needing to do and what was going on. We treat our lab like a child so I was highly scared and upset about what was going on and they were so great with my emotions on top of everything else!!His surgery went great and they did such an amazing job with his recovery. We have moved from the location and I have not found a more caring animal hospital since. I wish we were back in North Carolina. We miss them.

Have had many complaints about this place to the BBB about fear mongering. Please, folks, bringing home a puppy for the first time is scary enough- let alone having a place accost you about their health just so they can sell you insurance and get a kick back. If you want to try them, give them the benefit of the doubt. But PLEASE be sure you get a second opinion on any diagnoses- and definitely don’t buy their insurance. I was sad to hear this place has gone so down hill.

Dr. Sharman and staff were a God send for us when someone shot our pup Coco. She took us in as an emergency right at closing time. She had already been there 12 hours. But she checked him out and got him fixed up for surgery the next morning. Which was her day off, but she came back in and did surgery on my fur baby. I am so grateful to her and her staff for saving my fur babies life.
