Well---- the smoked ketchup is pretty good. This is definitely a bar with expensive bar food. I gave service three stars only because the server was good, but we were also the only people in there. Any restaurant that charges $17 for an entree, the food should be served on real plates with real silverware if you are eating in. The pimento cheese fritter were cold in the middle. My fiance said the wings were awful and he says he's never had a bad chicken wing.--- no blue cheese or celery. I got the Asada Fries which were ok. Maybe their beer and tacos are good especially if you drink a lot of beer. There are much better food options in Morehead for the same price or less.

Great location, friendly staff and really tasty food.Right downtown and close to the water. We were pleasantly surprised to find this friendly place and the food didn't disappoint. I had the Tuna tacos which were fabulous and my wife had the shrimp cocktail which was smoky and very good. We will be back.

I am SO grateful for this place this weekend. The chef, Josh, made us some truly delicious food and was so accommodating to my allergies even though he was crazy busy. Josh went above and beyond, thank you for such great service and killer food.The bartenders were so friendly, the restraunt was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our time there. Good food that was cooked wonderfully. The shrimp po-boy was delicious and the shrimp was cooked just right. We also had the black bean burger and mild chicken wings. All were good and the fries were great.For appetizers we had the onion rings and smoked fish dip. Very tasty and cooked perfectly.We would definitely go back for the food.Just a note, this is an adult hangout, this is not a family restaurant.Also, with only one person working the floor and bar, with customers coming in, service was just a little bit slow. As it was the bartender/server did a good job.

We ate here last spring and it was awesome. This time the food was not even remotely the same and was just simply terrible. We couldn't even finish our food it. Clearly new cooks or management...something. sad because we were looking forward to this since our last trip.

Response to owner:I paid for 1 vodka cranberry (house vodka) and 2 white tea shots, with tip it was $27. I was able to get a copy of my signed receipt (thankfully) and also tried to reach out to “Stephanie” multiple times and left numerous voicemails. Additionally, my bank was able to refund me for the FRAUDULENT overcharge. It’s not my fault alleged underage teenagers drank lemon drop shots and walked out on their tab the same night. You can verify with any bartender that has reviewed the info & footage: Kellie, Red, etc. Also, thank you for banning me from your establishment, I certainly will not be back. I would suggest changing your voicemail since you clearly state you record calls and respond within 24 hrs. Lies, lies, lies.Original Review:Will overcharge you $156 for a vodka cran & 2 white tea shots. Then won’t answer the phone and you’ll have to call your bank and set up a fraudulent claim.

Friend had her phone brazenly stolen while in attendance of music bingo. When I showed up to confront the thieves I was met with immediate attitude from the bartender. The thieves still sitting at their table. When I asked if that was okay that they’re stealing phones she flipped out yelling and started asking if I had any other opinions of how she should run “her” business. Turns out we should’ve called the cops instead of relying on the bar to do what’s right. The food is also abysmal. Would not reccomend.

Food was alright my girlfriend loved her food however I felt the Alfredo was kind of bland. Wasn’t too impressed. Nice views of the water and the staff was fantastic. It’s nice to see waitress’ being able to have fun at the work place with co workers and their customers. If it wasn’t for this I’m not sure I’d rate this place more than 3 stars. Overall decent just maybe wasn’t the right food choice for me.

Stopped by for lunch while driving around. Sat next to a local who recommended the fish tacos. The waiter told us that the burgers were awesome. So I had a cheeseburger and fries....so delicious! Fries are served with a smoked ketchup that was so good. Burger was obviously hand made from a great cut of beef. It was cooked to exactly my order. My friend had the fish and chips. Fish was Mahi Mahi and was served with 3 dipping saucees and fresh slaw. She loved it! Highly recommend!

Went here for Music Bingo. They play songs and you have to guess the title and mark it on your bingo card. Each paper you grab has 4 bingo cards on it. The last round is a jackpot round. If you can fill one entire bingo card, you get the jackpot. You only get 55 songs for the jackpot though. As of this review, it was $240. Drinks were good. The bartender was very good. Shorter brunette girl. She stayed busy! Kudos to her. I only had fries to drink because I ate before I knew I was going. BUT, the fries were tasty and crispy. The ketchup is house made I assume since it had a nice smoky flavor.

We were passing through to visit family on our way back up North. Most restaurants were closed on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving so when our original meet up spot fell through we stumbled on over. We did have our dogs with us and they made arrangements and greeted us with a smile. Not only were they very friendly the food was AMAZING! I had the Yellow Fin Tuna Burger and the waitress also recommended the Yellow Fin Taco, it was delicious. We also ordered a burger plain and rare for our pups and they enjoyed it. I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful service and excellent food.

This place is phenomenal! We stumbled across Taps & Tackle looking for a drink while we waited for dinner reservations elsewhere. We loved the laid back, friendly atmosphere so much, we canceled the reservations and stayed for dinner. The blueberry BBQ wings are a little bit of heaven, and the pork belly tacos are just outstanding. Good local beer selection. The service here is second to none! Attentive, friendly and fun, both in the front and back of house. We ordered food not realizing the kitchen had just closed and they took care of us with a smile! It came out fast and looked and tasted amazing! They truly care about making everyone feel welcome and seeing that everyone has a great time. Do not pass this place by.It’s a real gem!

Had lunch last Sunday February 6. Everything was great. I especially like the chicken wings. Big jumbo wings cooked perfectly. Good selection of beers on tap. It got busy quick. Cheers to the staff as the were obviously short on the floor but managed to keep pace anyway. Left fat and happy.

Just left this place fat and happy. Ultimately THE best cheeseburger I have ever had. Super juicy and flavorful. Phenomenal. Not sure what the mayonnaise was made with but it was amazing. I loved that the chef came out to our table to see how everything was and the server was very nice. This place deserves all the A's!

A smaller place for drinks and a bite. The wings were breaded and of a good size. The hottest version of the original sauce isnt crazy hot but does taste good. They had a Mexican "turtle" beer that was definitely underrated. The out sidexarea is good for the warmer weather coming up and at night they do live bands which brings a crowd. If you're on the waterfront, definitely stop by.

Eat lunch down here everyday, never came to this place. Ate here one time, and now I think I won’t go anywhere else. Coolest menu choices around and it’s all cooked so professionally and delicious! Great atmosphere, great staff. All around fantastic, come here!!!

On vacation, googled where to go eat, ended up at Taps N Tackle.... BEST DECISION we made!! Food was AMAZING. Staff was super cool! Crimson was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! He made me & my family feel welcome. Definitely will be going back.

It was a cool environment. Went for music Bingo and had a blast. We ended up getting the fish dip appetizer, and were not impressed. Actually very shocked to see how small it was for the price we paid but everyone else's food looked AMAZING as well as their portion size. Will be back!
