Nice store, The employees were on point and quite willing to explain the product. Every place else just tells you ( it *might* down blank # so and so row) only issue parking. There are only a handful.

The cashier were very friendly and greeted me upon entering the store. In the past I have entered the store it was very unorganized but there are new management at this location in Morehead City and it has improved a lot. I normally go here to get some Cosmetics when I need to shop for something really quick, eyeliner, brow pencil, etc They do have one self check out register only for debit card payments, but the self check out isn't opened all the time. Parking lot is very clean.

I ran into Dollar General yesterday for 2 items I forgot. The young woman working the register and unloading boxes stopped to help me. I couldn’t locate pancake syrup. She stopped unpacking boxes and helped me find it. I also got the coffee creamer I needed. She checked us out and gave directions to a nearby restaurant. Thank you for being so helpful!

Experiences at this location seem to be the same every time. Their products are as good as expected. If it's something they carry it's usually in supply. The staff at this particular location however leaves much to be desired. In general the hourly staff who just run the register and are overall fairly clueless our friendly and as helpful as they can be. The management staff I ever seems to have no clue as to customer service or polite interaction in general. I work locally as a cab driver and try to time my visits here to be as quick as possible to avoid being away from my radio for long at all. This has been the case for me long enough that many of the customers realize what I am doing and we'll often let me go in front of them so that I may be in and out rather quickly. On my most recent visit there was a young lady waiting to do a return which can be time consuming. When she saw how quickly I would be out of the way she offered me to go in front of her at which point the manager informed her, and these were her exact words, "I was only waiting around up here to deal with you." First of all, as soon as you tell someone that you have to deal with them you have informed them that you consider them to be a problem to solve. Secondly, by so openly displaying her impatience she proceeded to make this woman feel guilty for being a kind person. I have been in customer service my entire life and I cannot fathom treating a customer this way or making them feel this disregarded and unimportant. I don't know what kind of training could possibly help the management team at this location, but if there is something out there it definitely needs to be done. I have started to frequent the Family Dollar in order to be here less often because of the way the managers make the customers feel like they are in the way by even being here.

This store is a joke and needs new management. Apparently management doesn't know how to properly order stock for the store to keep the shelves stocked. Every time I go to get something I need they are always out! Could someone from corporate PLEASE take the time to inspect the store and shelves

A decent little store if you just need something such as a snack, and they have many low priced ones available, but it's not very clear and walk-able in there, as several isles are often blocked off by large shelving carts that are immovable. The store isn't very clean, either.There's often not staff around to help, but their weekend coupons are very nice.

Employees very nice and helpful. But the store needs more employees especially during this holiday season.too much freight stagedon racks waiting for placement on shelves. Extra help would certainly be the answer. Remember can't make sales if the products are still in boxes. The employees certainly need help.

Decent place to go if you're on a budget, or just looking for a quick place to stop for something. Most of the staff is very friendly, however there is one employee there (a man with an extremely long greasy ponytail) who tends to lose his patience very quickly. While waiting in line, I saw him yell at an older lady, getting impatient with her because she was having trouble seeing the screen and remembering her pin for her card.

In a hurry? Want to save money? Well this is where to go, especially for medicines, pet food, toilet paper and paper towels. Need bread, milk, cookies — they’ve got it! And drinks, ice cream, and frozen dinners,cigarettes and cards are there too. Its kind of like a mini general store in a no frills building. If you don’t need a lot and would rather not go to the grocery store, the Dollar General will meet the bill. So enjoy.

The absolute worst Dollar General I have ever been to! The cashier Helena couldn't even give me correct change for what the register was telling her. I was supposed to get $3.43 back in change she gave me $4.75 back so I told her she gave me too much and she looked at me with the most clueless look on her face and then had to call a manager. Well, after waiting for a "manager" for 10 minutes I was over it and just took $3 dollars and walked out. Dollar General definitely needs to do better with hiring people who can actually count money 🙄🤪🤯

I'm sorry to say but, this store has been the most unorganized and dirtier than all of the other stores put together. I love shopping at Dollar general. The was NO air-conditioning !! Today was 90 degree's. Sad in deed.

I like the prices and have found some things are cheaper than the Dollar store based on the amount you get in the pack. I do think the store needs to focus on keeping it more organized and clean.

Service is a gamble. Stock and neatness is iffy. They need to pay better or something. Employees especially managers are always in a horrible mood and if you need help they act like you're bothering them.

Christmas all the way! Excellent prices, various toys, stocking stuffers, candies, clothing, mens and women's gift sets, hats, snacks and more. The store was busy when I entered and busy when I left. I guessing a great deal of us love "Dollar General" in MHC.

Overall it is what you expect at a dollar general. There are some inconsistencies with stocking of certain products but I think that is to be some what expected. Apple Pay is a hit or miss on if the machine will actually work. It does seem a little more crowded than others.

There's merchandise sitting at end of aisles, difficult to maneuver in the store with a buggy. The check out staff were very nice and helpful.

This store is often out of stock on cleaning supplies I am looking for. There are 4 within 4 miles of each other on 24 Hwy. I had to stop at the next one to get what I was missing.

This store in Newport by Paradice East is nasty. They have stuff all over the place. They DO NOT WEAR FACEMASKS AS REQUIRED BY THEIR COMPANY AND DO NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE ONE ON. They are rude and ignore you. This place is trash.
