It's been quite a long time since I've been to Belk, I used to go all the time. I would buy all my golf attire from Belk. One of my friends was wearing the coolest shirts, so I asked him if he got it, and he replied, " Amazon, of course." That put an end to my Belk outings. I went today to find new sheets and pillow cases. I walked in and went straight to the bedding section. I couldn't believe my eyes, king-size 1200 thread count the whole set wea on sale for $49.99 the retail price was $199.99. I found a deep blue and a medium grey. The Belk associate was extremely helpful with the entire ordeal. I took a few photos of their dos and don't. One thing their parking lot is massive and Belk is always super clean. They had everything going in the right direction.

I waited in the men's shoe department for 20 minutes for someone to help me and noone ever showed up. E en after I asked one of the workers to get someone to help me. I had to go in the back room and look for my own shoes which I found. Then there was only one person checking people out in the lady's section. And she was miserable and slow as molasses. Won't be going back here anytime soon.

Went in there to get a pair of shoes and the man that was bald and in a green shirt, ran to the back and never came out until I went to find someone else from a different department to help me. Which was Georgia and she was sweet and once he seen me walk to her department he came out.

Got a pair of shoes. Cole Haan Generation Zerogrand sneakers in grey. Probably $120 in Cole Haan website. Got an amazing clearance deal on them on top of even the store was 20% off. Mens shoes are in the very back of the store. I picked them out, looked for a few minutes for a box and an employee to no avail. The price tag was on the bottom of the shoe, so I took them to the cashier up front. He told me we have to go get a box from the back storage area. I said “no thanks, I don’t need it”. He grabbed the shoes from me before hand. Made me think he was just gonna ring me up and I would be on my way. No, he power walked all the back to the men’s shoe dept. the complete opposite side of the store. I followed him. He disappeared into the back for 3 or 4 minutes. Reappeared boxless. He somehow found the shoe dept employee (who I was looking for earlier) immediately. Had to discuss the boxless shoes mystery for an unnecessary amount of time. A try the end leaving it unsolved. Made the long trek back to the front of the store. He checked me out the exact same way he could’ve about 20 minutes earlier when I told him I didn’t find a box for them and I didn’t need one or even want one. it’s a department store. They’re so hard to shop in now. It’s sad but it’s part of who we are now, I guess.Here’s a pic of the shoes. Not a bad deal for $30. I’d probably do it again for that price, lol.

Prices are expensive and it was hard to find an employee to ask questions (This was during the busy Christmas Season). However, when I did find an employee their service was extremely wonderful and helpful.

Helpful Asian man in Mens clothing was running. Prom/Wedding season I guess. Need more staff! Clothing racks a mess!This once was the best Belks around!

Not enough cashiers, the new products they are offering are so extremely expensive! Its not worh going in there anymore. The purses i purchase are not sold in the store anymore. The brand of clothes i shop for aren't in the store any longer. The employees are very kind and personable but that just not enough.

I was looking for a particular dress and could not find it so I walked over to the shoe dept. and a very exceptionally nice young employee looked it up and ordered it for me he was wearing a tag saying a few numbers from 2 to 10 and if you were satisfied with his service rate him I gave him a 10 in fact he deserved even higher.what a pleasure to shop at Belk🤣

I was a little disappointed. Belks use to be known as a high end store that carried high quality, brand name clothing, shoes, accessories at reasonable prices. Now it's looking more like a run of the mill department store. Lots of clothes racks marked down or on sale and in some areas of the store (Shoes, housewares, cosmetic) the prices are higher than other stores selling the same items. The men's department has Shrunk to less than half of it's size that it use to be. The staff are professional and friendly if your able to find them. Also it's hard to find a check out that is open and when you do , you have to wait in line. They do have nice restrooms that are very clean and orderly. Handicap parking and access.

I am embarrassed to say that I left my wallet in a shopping cart inside the store. It was turned in to manager, Joyce, who took very good care of it and handed it off to manager, Amy, who also too great care of it until I could get back to pick it up from my home which is a two-hour drive from the store. I was elated to find it complete with every card and every dollar in cash that I had in it. Thank you so much for good, honest people. It means so much. I am a customer for life - because of this and the fact that the Morehead store is just so much better and has so many more choices than those around home.

Kinda prissy employees and environment.If you aren't 50 or older and dressed nice they ask you if you need help more than 5 times per half hour and you can't browse in peace.I have bad anxiety and I'd rather shop somewhere else where the same lady isn't asking me over and over again if I need help. No I don't need help Sally Sue. I know they teach you this in training. But you are bothering me.In fact even when I've dressed nice and spent loads of money it seems they just act suspicious of you for not being an old prat in overpriced Chinese child labor clothing.You can buy just about all except the fine jewelry from eBay in the same design and quality changing the filter to allow free shipping from China and set sorting to lowest price first.Sometimes the clearance clothing just looks like a flap of fabric. I've never gone without a wad of cash and usually get a good clothing deal no matter when I go and that makes it worth going. Use the app and sign up for emails because flash sales are random.I wish they had a bench outside. I don't ever remember seeing a bathroom. They've reopened their dressing rooms which is great.It's worth a pop in for sure.Be AWAREAROUND HOLIDAYS THE LINES CAN BE LONGTHEY NEVER UTILIZE ALL CASH REGISTERSemployee shortage idk. 😒

One cashier ...the other employees were very overwhelmed. You can taste the depression and dispair in the air there. Christmas stuff looks nice, but the women's perfume lady was shall I say, southern snarky. I won't go back...I wanted to spend my money there...but finding help, or a cashier was a challenge. Belks might as well be Walmart ...just a depressing place now days.
