*UPDATE* New owners!They have revamped the entire store from the ground up. Super organized! Great selection of tools, hardware and all other kinds of good stuff. Everyone that works there knows where things are & super personable. I always suggest calling because they carry such a wide range of things. You never know what they are going to carry. For example, they can order wood for you. So give them a call. They are my favorite people.Super old school hardware store that has all the essentials and not the fancy stuff. Their prices are amazing and the selection of "I need it now" items, this is the place to go. I needed some things asap and this place was recommended to me. HD or Lowes is 40 min away and is great if you need box store stuff. Otherwise, this is the place.

Love the owners and their family! You can find just about anything you need and things you don't know you need.I found lamp oil I needed. It's November 22, most places have put away flower pots by now- Guess what found what I needed!Just a great old timey hardware store. Like stepping back in time almost.

Great place, friendly people and they hace everything, I visit almost everyday, highly recommend!!UPDATE: 2/27/23This used to be the BEST hardware store in NC...but things have changed. What was a friendly hometown hardware has now been totally changed!! Buster and his wife sold out and the new owners have totally changed everything. Modernizing and becoming more like Lowes. What a shame, I used to brag about our local hardware and tell all my customers that they had to visit and see how great it was, well not anymore. Buster and his wife really knew how to treat people, not the case with new owners.Would now change my rating to 2 stars at best.

Buster (Owner) keeps the store hardware stocked along with cleaning supplies, tools, and many other odds and ends. Prices are very competitive, expecially for being a local hardware store. If you need help don't hesitate to ask, as he is very knowledgeable in many different tradecrafts. Let him know the details of your project or what your looking for and he'll help you collect each and every item you need, as well as save you from wasting money on some of the things you just thought you needed haha. They also copy keys, carry locally made products, have a small section of knives and ammo, and even a drink & snack to go. Very friendly atmosphere.

Red Mountain Hardware has everything from household items to lumber and every thing in between. The prices are very reasonable to save you 2 hours on and back from Lowes etc

You will never meet nicer people than the ones at Red Mountain. To be such a small store, they have more hardware items than Ace hardware. If they don't have it, they will get it in a few days. The prices are more than fair. Take a visit and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed there.

If you like old style hardware stores, reds is the spot. Many people drive right past this business on the way to a big box chain. Lightbulbs at reds are about 40% cheaper than that big chain. Hard to find items are in stock. You still can buy nails, screws and bolts by the pound. Buster and his wife, well in their eighties run a top notch local well needed hardware and supply store.
