Used to be a great pharmacy, but went downhill for some odd reason. my birth control had 11 refills and tried to refill on the insurance date, kept getting an “please call walgreens” so i finally did …. lady on the phone said she had got it to go through and quickly hung up. Checked site and she had NOT got it to go through. had to call 4 different times to get an answer and had to call my doctor myself to figure out why their system wasn’t allowing a refill. would have preferred more communication through walgreens an why my prescription was closed out… not that hard to pick up a phone and call and explain a situation before i realize the system is messed up!

Absolute joke of a Pharmacy. They are ALWAYS short staffed. The Pharmacy does NOT OPEN UNTIL 4PM ON A WEEKDAY. IF you have prescriptions you NEED. DO NOT get them here, because you will NEVER actually get them. They literally will let you schedule services they can not provide. The staff that are there are overworked. I can not WAIT to watch this location get shut down

Giving one star to be able to leave review. Second month in a row my medication was on backorder. Waited for 2 days. No one informed me. Wait time on phone is ridiculously. You never get a live person. When I finally got someone was told to have my doctor use another pharmacy.Some Costumer sevice. You people suck.

One more downvote for the worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. I went to pick up my rx on my lunch and it took them 10 minutes to even locate it. Then I discovered they had filled a completely different brand, dose, and size than what my doctor called in without consulting either one of us. The price was much higher. (I had a coupon for the brand I had requested). When I asked them to fill what was called in, the ignorant and unhelpful employee first said it would take longer because it's a special order and then said it would still be over 4x what my coupon (which has the pharmacy listed on it as well) said the price would be. "I can't help what the prices are, ma'am." I didn't have the time or willpower to ask for the pharmacist or a supervisor with a long line.They also required me to go online to book my covid shot and when I showed up for my appt they said "oh no ma'am, we don't do that here" - after I walked past a blinking red sign that says "Get your covid shot here."Don't waste your time. CVS is right across the street.Don't waste your time.

Worst pharmacy in history. I have even had the wrong number of pills filled (90 when I should have to got 30) and when I let them know, they acted like it wasn't a big deal. Granted, this wasn't a controlled substance, but I would still assume they keep track of inventory regardless of what is being filled.

Pharmacists are good, but most techs are slow and unprofessional. I believe it's a widespread Walgreens problem. Seems like a terrible place to work.

Processed prescription for review. Reviewed online and status processing. Was out of town a couple of days and status changed to cancelled. Pharmacy tech could not explain why it was cancelled. Long waits on telephone. I am transferring all prescription s to mail order as they come up for renewal. Service last year has been a problem.

I can’t even believe this is a business let alone one trusted with medicine. Call and get put on a long hold. Then explains situation to moron who puts me back on a long hold that hangs up on me. Call back pharmacy multiple times and they will not answer the phone. How is this acceptable for a pharmacy??? This is insanity

On hold for two hours and hung up on three times by pharmacy phone system. Live person who answered never came back to phone and second live person didn’t understand basic English—-go to CVS—-CVS is 100 times better in Mebane.

I love Walgreens in general; however, this pharmacy is the worst I've ever dealt with. They never answer their phones and they rarely fill prescriptions by the time you are told they will be ready. There seems to always be an issue (the pharmacist is 'reviewing' the prescription or there is a 'technical difficulty') and you have to go in and wait. They will literally let a person stand at the counter (when there is only 1 person helping customers and very long lines) and wait for their prescriptions to be ready instead of asking them to sit and telling them they will call their name when it's ready so the next customer can be helped. I have witnessed this several times. I understand they are busy, but I hate having to fill prescriptions here because I know there will be issues of some kind ... and I know I will have to wait a long time for them to be ready.

I’ve filled all prescriptions for my family at this Walgreens for 10+ years. Over the last year, it’s been horrible. I called 3 times yesterday and held for a half hour each time, when my turn came someone picked up and placed me on hold again, and then picked up and disconnected the call. I also tried the call back feature where you press 1 and they call you when it’s your turn- never got a call back. Called the store and asked to speak to a manager, then spoke to Colton who said, “yea sorry about that, it’s been crazy busy and everyone just keeps calling and coming in.” I’ve never spoke to someone that blamed customers. Aren’t customers the people that keep you in business??? Well, he transferred me to someone in pharmacy directly. What happens? The same thing. I hold for nearly 30 minutes and get hung up on. I call back, ended up speaking with another person who helped get someone on the pharmacy to answer. What I needed took less than60 seconds. She got my name, the prescription information I needed and said ok, we will get it filled. Flash forward to today, I realized I didn’t get a text that my prescription was ready. So I am yet again on this never ending cycle of holding and getting hung up on. Going to the store is not much better. You wait in line in the drive threw for close to an hour for them to say, “It’s not ready. Try back in an hour.” Even though they told you yesterday that it would be ready yesterday. Walgreens in Mebane, please get it together. I don’t mind holding as staffing issues are everywhere. What I do mind is getting hung up on, being blamed for your short comings, and lack of follow through.

Was told my prescription would be ready the day before I came to pick it up l. Get to the pharmacy and was told that my prescription still had to be processed and filled and was told the other person I talked to the day before didn’t know what they were talking about. Every month for the last 4 months this has been a problem with getting any prescription. The techs here are horrible at there jobs and have now started effecting appts I have else where cause I’m waiting on prescriptions to be filled at there lack of communication and wanting to work. Everyone would be better off at CVS

This Walgreens used to be exceptional with customer service. It has rapidly gone down hill. Be prepared for 45 minute lines, delays on prescriptions due to supply issues and unexpected closings of the drive through. Getting through to the pharmacy by phonecall is almost impossible.

Doctor called in medication at 11:30 this morning and it’s 4:00 now and none of them are ready. I tried calling to see when they would be ready and waited on hold for over an hour and never spoke to anyone. Gave up and drove here, waited 15 minutes in line to be told it’s going to be at least a 30 minute wait. It’s like this every time. It takes DAYS for them to process a prescription unless I call and harass them. I also get constant messages about delays for “insurance issues” that take days to resolve as well unless I call and harass them and then usually turns out to be nothing. I don’t get it. The staff here are usually pretty nice but it’s overshadowed by the endless waiting times.

Some Associates are favored over others, would not advise to work here. The ones Micheal does favor (Brianna)spend hours in the store not doing any work and being a shift lead she depends on other associates to do the work she’s suppose to help with or get done herself. He leaves the store with the associate while both being clocked in still. Even if you report him for favoritism the district manager and micheal are friends so he lets micheal bypass any problems that’s reported about him or about the store and he does allow her to get paid more than anybody else and she’s the most laziest shift lead and effortless person i’ve seen working for a place that’s supposed to be professional,he supposed to be running. Not a great place to work at :(

This location has gone VERY downhill over the past year or so and is no longer a place I feel comfortable utilizing. Over the past few months, they have screwed up my prescriptions at least twice. The first time was the filling of an incorrect dosage. The most recent incident (and last straw) was realizing that the name and home address on the prescription I was given did not belong to me. This leads me to believe that someone else now has access to my personal information as well.I’m not usually one to complain, but the recurring careless mistakes could cause serious issues. I’ll no longer be sticking around to take the risk.

This is one of the worst Walgreens I have ever dealt with. I called the pharmacy trying to obtain information about the free Covid tests provided monthly through insurance. The first time I called, I was on hold for 10 minutes and when the staff member answered the call he proceeded to put me back on hold for another 20 minutes before I was disconnected. I called back and the phone was answered almost immediately by a tech who proceeded to cut me off and abruptly transfer me to the front of the store where the employee was more helpful about my prescription questions than any of the staff in the actual pharmacy. She proceeded to transfer me back to the pharmacy because there was only so much she could answer, and I waited on hold again before being disconnected once again. I called back a fourth and final time and was on hold before finally giving up entirely. If you can avoid this pharmacy, please do so. This process took over an hour and all for a simple question regarding Covid tests.

Tonight, we waited on hold for an hour to speak to a pharmacist about a prescription we have been waiting on for several days. It’s a prescription we have been filling monthly for over a year, and they are constantly out of it when it comes time to refill. When we finally spoke to someone, they told us it would be ready for pickup later on. After waiting almost 45 minutes in the drive through, we get to the window and they tell us that they don’t have any of the medication in stock. We have tried to be patient with the constant issues, from them not having our regular medications in stock, to a broken speaker in the drive through for several months, to being unable to properly read a prescription and provide the correct number of pills. We will be pulling all of our prescriptions and going to the pharmacy down the street.

Worst pharmacy ever. I have been waiting on my blood pressure medicine for two weeks & they keep transferring me to their dispensary line that always hangs up on you. This is serious business playing with peoples medication. Never again!!!!

Walgreens pharmacy at the Mebane Oaks location frequently tells me my insurance or a prescription is denied for whatever reason, and then they look closer or call and find that they were incorrect. They constantly give inaccurate info to me about my coverage. This doesn't happen at other Walgreens locations, only at this location. Either people need to be trained better, or they need to conduct better due diligence to improve their customer service. It's completely inexcusable when it happens all the time like it does. Every single time I call Tricare, there is never an issue with my coverage... The problems ALWAYS comes from Walgreens. There's never not some sort of issue and that includes both for me and my Husband, both long time insurance holders of Tricare East (Prime).

I had a horrible return experience today at Walgreens. I'm a frequent shopper & loyalty member, & I'm very unsatisfied with the service I received at Walgreens today.Amy, the assistant store manager, was very short with me today & rude with an attitude. I had my original receipt, but the cashier placed all my return on a store credit & not $1 on a store credit & the rest of the amount back on my debit card so she called a manager to assist her. I had originally made my purchase & used my store credit with $1 on it & put the rest of the purchase on my debit card.Amy, the manager, stated that she couldn't post void the return transaction and return my money back to my card because the receipt didn't print a bar code. She did nothing to resolve the issue & seemed like I was a bother to her. The store made the mistake but I was left feeling like I inconvenienced them. There was no apology for the inconvenience or for the mistake made & no resolution for my issue.This store needs better managers with kindness, respect & the ability to make customers feel like their valued. Amy needs to learn how to handle issues in a professional & courteous way for all customers. If it wouldn't have been for Amy's attitude then the situation wouldn't have escalated. Treat your loyal & local customers better!

13OCT2023FRI Downgraded from 3-to-1 stars.I've been on hold for 16+ minutes with 2callers still and yet ahead of me.***RIDICULOUS***19:xx minutes: Oh now we're down to just 1 caller ahead of me🙄37:00+ and still My call was never answered.Calling Wal-Mart..... 🙄08JAN2021SATFallen tree at back of store, partially blocking the exit from Rx pick-up Drive-thru...If I were going thru drive-thru for Rx pick-up, once received, I would (personally) pull forward a bit and make a U-turn to avoid getting my car scratched.So the manager tells me that he has told corporate about the tree, and a workorder was put in 4-days ago.Sounds like a very, rinky-dink way of handling business.

Love the Walgreens store and pharmacy staff!! I'm times where people/customers don't want to work, but have time to leave bad reviews...y'all are doing a fantastic job! Hang in there... maybe eventually people will get up off their lazy butts and learn what retail work can be like!

I have them a fair share well over 1 year getting me pain medication here. Never have it in stock so I now have my doctor send it in 5-7 days before fill date still nothing changes. They will run the insurance as.soon as they receive the prescription and get paid but when come to fill date either don't have it at all or can only give me 2-3 days worth. Not sure about anyone else but driving to a pharmacy 2-3 for 30 days worth medication. And good luck calling wait times in 20-30 mins of they do not hang up on you.

The pharmacy here is terrible and they constantly rip you off. First, there is ALWAYS an “insurance issue” which is them not having it on file. And it’s all the time- they are forever putting it in and not saving it properly. And three times now they have not filled the prescriptions like medicated cough syrup and amoxicillin to where it should be so we have to call the doctor for another bottle. After this third time I am done. And that is when you are lucky enough for them to find it. I have gone in there to pick things up and they can’t find it. There does not seem to be a lot of communication or organization. I hate it because it’s the only Walgreens out here which my insurance is contracted with but I will just have to make a drive to another one.

Let me start by saying I really like Walgreen's over the other options like CVS. Having said that, the Walgreen's and especially the pharmacy is really going down hill. I one person mentioned in the reviews, they rarely have prescriptions ready even after the text or call saying it is ready for pick up. Seems to me there should be some priority for people coming out of the hospital or outpatient surgery too. I recently had an outpatient surgery and the nurse told me she called in my prescriptions before I even went into surgery. After surgery and recovery, some 5 hours later they did not have my prescriptions ready. I understand things happen, but as mentioned the pharmacy is really going down hill because during my last few visits my prescriptions have not been ready. Very frustrating.
