First time in NC so had to BBQ...decided to get the meat from here.The staff for the most part were really nice... the produce isn’t the freshest and some supplies are limited but it’s understandable. I think they do a good job given the location.The meat at this place though was really unbelievable. Wide selection of cuts and phenomenal prices. I’d recommend getting the piggly wiggly spice rub in the meat aisle.

Love the PIG! Piggly Wiggly is the best. We love getting our vegetables from the PW. Always fresh. Meats cut to order and you can call ahead and it's ready when you get there. Thank you for NOT changing..

I worked here for many years. The owner and management are super awesome people. They were beyond supportive when my mom passed. We still shop here as no one can really bear their prices. The store has come along way from dusty little store it used to be many years ago to what it is now. If you like low prices and fresh Mears and produce this is the place for you!!

The meat sucks. The cheese and bags are either wet at the bottom or very, very dry at the top. But the people are nice.

Go to for a quick trip to the store. Produce section sometimes is missing some veggies, but I do enjoy the ones I buy. I enjoy that they always have seasonal flowers out front. Wide variety of items. The store is not the cleanest, but I think it's just an old store. I've always experienced friendly and helpful staff!

Employee that was wearing an East Carolina shirt is very rude walked right in front of me as I was reaching for something, didn't bother to say excuse me or nothing, he may need some more customer service training, or this may not be his calling, needs a different job. Very rude individual. I will probably stay on my side of the county and go to the other store

Not only do you have the best pecan pancakes, they are served with customer's requests of the amount of butter as well as your famous syrup. On top of that, you go beyond customer service. Jerry thank you for jumping my van off today as well as the young lady taken care of my dog Bella by bringing her ice and water. She thought of me with a take out cup of water. Not a huge store, but a great place to stop and pick up things from New Bern to home. Keeps the community surviving and a true blessing for the locals. Great , friendly people and a wonderful variety of products. Great butcher there too! RUN IN SOMETIME!

Cashiers spend a lot of time gossiping. Fruits are not fresh and bought outdated meat, which had to be thrown away. It's not a place I would prefer to shop but it's convenient. The head cashier is very rude and in my opinion a security concern. Rudeness isn't an attribute appreciated by everyone!!!!

Sales are great! They discount things that are close to expiration or on verge of going bad. They have a dollar section. They are usually pretty well stocked. Could dust the bottom shelves more often & the discount shelf in very back, but they clean regularly -especially the checkout counters & the floors. They just redid their parking lot so it's much better now (thank you!) Staff is always friendly, even when they're busy. They sell lotto tickets here & I think Western Union, too. There's a cash points atm & a Marine federal credit union atm in their parking lot. There's even a picnic table over on the side closer to Hardee's.

Store was well stocked. Went there for burger and there was a wide variety to choose from. Good prices when they are having specials. Love their truckload meat sale. Meat Department guys were helpful when I asked for additional items.

It took me a minute to find the aisle I needed because I haven't been around a Piggly Wiggly in a long time so I'm not use to the setup. Everyone I passed while there greeted me including the customers. Small, southern town friendliness doesn't happen like that as much in the bigger, crowded stores in Jacksonville.

Stopped in to pick up a few items. Dianna saw that I was on oxygen took my basket and helped me finish shopping. Prices were lower on many items that I normally purchase. Great selection of Angus beef. Will definitely go back when I am in the area.

It was a quick stop to pick up some essentials. No waiting in line, no problem. They don't always have everything that some of the larger stores have, but hey, it's the pig, and I'm sticking with them.

Most expensive grocery store I have seen in my life. Don't go here for anything. I only went there because I had to. Turned around and some store employee was standing there watching me like I'm a thief. Place looked like it hasn't been cleaned since 1988.

Today is the 2nd time I've been in to pick an advertised product that they didnt have in the store. Lady working in meat department said " It's on the truck", but didn't offer a substitute. I'd say that's false advertising. It is a waste of my time to go there.
