Service desk was shut down and the manager refused to sell me a money order. HE had time to walk over and chat with other workers but "didn't have time to work the Service Desk" great PR. Also a large container of trash was left out in FRONT of the store. Again if he had time to chat HE had time to keep an eye out on ALL the store departments, not just look over shoulder of a cashier he was training. As if employees standing out back getting high wasn't a big enough issue. Corporate needs to send in a "Undercover Boss"

Fruit wasn't as fresh as some other grocery stores visited. Staff somewhat friendly. Some staff not as courteous as others. The workers have isles block working but could allow you to pass through to get your item. They have enough time for conversation with vendors. Overall I didn't get a feeling of wanting to return. I love shopping at Food Lion. However I don't think I will visit this store again in near future.

They need more variety and the carts are way to big they aren't Costco so why the huge carts? They are ok some of the staff are nice others are a Lil rude and look like they don't want to work there but other then that it's OK

This Food Lion has made I Big turn around. The place is more open inside and looks a whole lot better. I can't say enough how much it has improved. The lettering outside is brand new along with all the trimmings on the inside. New counters new markers on each isle. They even completely rearranged the entire store. The people that work here are friendly and the service is very good. They keep the store clean and I love shopping here. From the front of the house to the back of the house 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food lion is always my first choice for grocery shopping, it's so much smaller & alot less crowded than any other grocery stores but still big enough to have the stuff & the name brands you want & need. I can always guarantee I'm going to be able to get in, go straight to what I want/need cause it's always so easy to find, get in one of the many checkout lines open to choose from & if there is a line at all it's moving really quickly & you won't be waiting long. Never had issues with rude or disrespectful employees & the stores are always neat clean & comfortable. The prices are absolutely amazing especially their buy one get one sales & their mvp sales you save so much money by just swiping your loyalty card. I will always shop at food lion & I'll always recommend it to any family, friends or acquaintances in the future.

This is a very clean grocery store. Very organized. And the workers are very polite and ask if you need any assistance. I live the next county over from here and I wish our Food Lion was like this one. Also the shopping Isles are so wide you dont worry about bumping into people.

Living in the south, FoodLion grocery stores are always a reliable source for your grocery needs. The Maxton location is the example I'm sure the CEO is proud of. Always clean, abundance of fresh vegetables and meats, shelves arranged, with prices easily visible. The Food Lion employees are friendly and will gladly assist you in finding any item or offer suggestions for substitution. The only improvement would be the outside grounds normally need cleaning up.

Today I went to the deli in this food lion it wasn't my first visit I go weekly I order inspiration ham and inspiration oven baked Turkey as usual I asked slice number 4 they lady asked if I was sure stated that's thick with smirk I said yes please after she completed my order I asked for small samples of bologna she stated I don't have one open and if you are not buying I can't open it I stated you have a sign that's say ask for sample she looked at me as though she say ghost and said ok I'll cut u a piece I said never mind she repeated I said never mind and walked away poor customer service

Very unprofessional .The cashier who name started with a T was just standing there talking to another employee. The sad part was that the store was a bit crowded. Store have prices marked but cashier lies and says that is not the price. They need to improve management.

I told a store employee that a lady was shop lifting meats and nothing was done about it.The store manager was a male with a yellow button down shirt .She ran out the door with her over the shoulder bag past me. His response was if I didn't see her doing it .I can't do anything. I refuse to ever shop at this or any Food lion again

If I could rate Food Lion in Maxton a zero, I would. Followed around and was asked twice did we need any help. I work hard and spend my money there. The more I walked around, I felt like they were right behind me. I was mad and embarrassed, like I had to steal. Smh. I won't go to Maxton again, unless it's the Piggly Wiggly.
