This location is next door to an activity that 1 of my children attend so my other child and I often stop in to see the animals. We've never purchased anything but the staff is always so nice and informative! They always take time to explain things and answer my toddler's questions!

I just finished a shopping trip here of over 100 items and the store manager britnie stopped what she was doing and helped me through the entire process. I literally have never gotten such amazing customer service at any other pet store. Petsmart wishes they could do what this place does. The store was stocked, clean and all of the employees there were very friendly. I happened to be in the area and I live over an hour away, but britnie earned my business and I will not be shopping anywhere else from now on for my pet needs. I highly recommend if you haven’t been here, check this place out. You will not regret it!

Store stock is usually fine. Some employees don't want to be bothered. Maybe they were having a bad day. I usually go there in a pinch.

The staff is friendly once they acknowledge you. They don't sell the specialized kitty food we use, but it's a convenient pop-in spot for accessories and pet treats.

Large selection of pet supplies for a number of different pets. Very nice staff. Male cashier went out of his way to help us figure out a foldable pet carrier and even calmed our fears when we thought one of their Farrets had died. Lol!

I visited here today with my two dogs. The staff was amazing. They truly love animals and helped me through every step when trying to find things. The young man from Argentina and the two young ladies working today we’re so friendly, worked as a team and I was truly impressed. Great jobs guys. Even though the power went out and I couldn’t buy my items, I will most definitely be back. Great store and run perfectly. Thank you.

Updating my review from 3 stars to 5. Don't come all that often but I would say the staff are friendly, love seeing and watching the live animals. Great selection of items. The store is very clean. Have a pet? I would recommend a visit.

Peyton is an amazing associate!! Shes knowledgeable and very personal. When it comes to my baby dachshund needs, i go to her for the very best on the shelf. Shes honest, helps you to stay within your budget and you can tell she really cares for any animal that comes through the doors.

We get our dog food from PetSupermarket. It’s nice having a smaller place to walk-in and look at the dog food options. Brittnie, the Store Manager, is amazing! She has a phenomenal attitude that keeps me coming back to the store. She is always willing to help me find the right dog food and she is very knowledgeable about the products. There are a few times where I didn’t find what I was looking for and would have walked out of the store had it not been for her approaching me to see how she could help. Both of those times I ended up walking out with a bag of dog food and was happy with my purchase!

I've called and went up there, spoke to a man named Josh and asked for a specific animal and he was able to help me out on getting the stuff for my pet rabbit. But overall his customer service was wonderful and friendly through out the whole visit. He made my kids and I feel welcome to the store.

The store is laid out well and easy to navigate. Employees are both friendly and knowledgeable as well as available to help with any questions. The prices are average and comparable to other chain pet stores but they don't run the same sales. However, they offer a rewards program and always ask for your number to keep track of purchases. The location is convenient to me so I like that, but they don't keep late store hours which can be a problem if you are an evening shopper.

Pet Supermarket is the only place I will go for my pet needs!!! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, the store is always very clean and well stocked, and the animals are well cared for and clean (which makes my heart very happy Bc that is not always the case at other pet stores). Britnie is an absolutely amazing person/manager! She always has a smile and is so incredibly sweet. A few months ago, my rabbit was very sick. He stopped eating, lost all of his fur, and was bone thin. Even the vet wasn’t sure if he’d pull through. I stopped in looking for anything that would get him to eat again. Britnie’s genuine care and expertise probably saved his life. She recommended Critical Care and gave me some tips and tricks to get him to take it. He’s now back to his fluffy, fat, silly self and it’s largely thanks to her time and advice. Thank you thank you thank you!

I went to the Pet Supermarket in Matthews for the first time about a week or so ago looking for cat food for my new kitten. When I walked in I was greeted by a woman named Peyton who I asked for help finding the kitten food. She walked me over to the cat section and made a few suggestions and we got to talking about her cat being over 20 years old and I told her that I had just lost my cat of 19 years about 2 months ago. We continued to talk for a while. After I realized I'd been talking her ear off about how upset I was over the loss of phoebe I apologized and told her I feel like everyone is tired of hearing me talk about it. She was the first person I felt like truly understood how much I loved my cat and she made me feel like it was completely reasonable to still be so upset. I know one thing, I will never go anywhere else for my new kitty's needs. Thank you Pet Supermarket and especially Peyton for making me feel so welcome.

Hailey is AMAZING!!! We have a puppy ( the first time in 15 years ), she is picky on food. We have been doing a lot of different foods for her.Hailey has been so great with helping us. Hailey ALWAYS has a GREAT personality and we specifically go to Pet Supermarket to see her! I wish I could give more stars! She most definitely deserves them!! Thank you, Hailey!!

What a nice store! Manager was super friendly helped us fit a harness for our dog. Purchased feeder fish. Tanks very clean. Fish did not seem stressed. Large selection of everything. Nice addition to our neighborhood shopping center. Look forward to more trips with our dogs.

The Manager, Missy, and her staff make every visit to this store a world-class experience. I have a dachshund with back trouble. Missy has taken the time to read labels on different brands of dog food with me to share what may be most beneficial for him, and her team is always willing to recommend items based on you or your pets needs. Her team member Abby always goes above and beyond, as well. The staff seems to get along really well together, and as a corporate trainer and project manager, this is a very impressive characteristic to me. I highly recommend this store for the personalized, exceptional experience.

Always love visiting this store to purchase new dog toys and check out the new cats. However, last night was a particularly positive trip. We had a great experience here with new employee, Logan. He really took his time and helped explain the product we were interested in, The Furminator. He explained how to best use it and even how to acclimate our dog best to the new product. He sold us on the item when we most likely would have gone with a less expensive option. He is an asset to the team!

I love this store for my dog supply needs, mostly because the top-notch service I receive from the employees. I felt compelled to write this review after an especially excellent experience I had today at the Matthews location. Michael helped my hudband and I navigate all of the different dog food options available, and helped steer us in the direction of the healthiest options for our puppy. He knew about every brand, ingredient, and offered us a wealth of information that would have taken hours to research ourselves. He also knew about every toy, grooming item, and treat. His enthusiasm and love of animals shines through his unparalleled customer service. He was friendly, upbeat, and informative without being pushy. It's really hard to find people like him these days! Just had the best experience with the manager of this store which makes all the difference in the world! Unfortunately, the cat food I usually buy for our cats is out-of-stock in my area, (I went to seven stores). 🤕 So, I had to transition to a similar product until I could find it, (Purina Cat Chow Healthy Weight), which is not available in my area. 😬 When I called to inquire about this product, though they too did not carry this brand, she took the time to talk with me about cat food in general which confirmed what direction I should take for our cats nutritionally. Rather than go online for this product, (which will take days to arrive), I plan to go to this store ASAP this morning to follow her recommendations! This is our new store! 😅

We came in with a fish emergency and the store manager “ Britnie” was incredibly helpful and super informative, we purchased a few products she recommended and went back to fix our emergency and we excited and very happy to say that our fishy’s are super happy and healthy and the tank is beautiful!
