We buy all of our horse hay, health supplements, dewormer and feed here. Always super convenient and friendly staff. Keeping track of which feed in their computer makes it super convenient to pull up what I need when I forget the brand. Someone always loads the heavy bags and hay bales to the trunk for us.They have supplies for chickens, horses, dogs, cats, birds and hamsters.The kids really enjoy exploring the store and visiting the resident ferret and looking for the indoor/outdoor cat that lives here.

Love everyone at Neighborhood Feed and Tack! They are amazing and when I cannot get to the amazing store, they deliver to my house in Marvin/Waxhaw. Talk about saving me time in my life. Love supporting a local business and super fun to go into the store!! Katie and Henry Ford are happy!

Love this store. Great local business with excellent selection, great prices, and friendly service. What's not to love?? Also, get your propane here!! Don't EVER goto one of those "propane exchange" places, they rip you off. Neighborhood Feed and Tack is the best!

Friendly staff they will bring stuff to your car and put it in the trunk or backseat. They have exotic treats and food. They have dog toys. Bird food. And dog food. As well as cat food. A lot of food and toys for your animals to play with they also have a cat that walks around for anyone who is allergic.

We have had an ongoing problem with fleas on my dog. Exasperated I thought who would be the expert on this. I immediately thought of the old man that runs this place. I knew he had the answer. I went down there and everyone else there was so knowledgeable and helpful I didn't even need to seek him out. This place is the real deal. Family owned. I urge you to go down here and check them out.

When your local tack store runs out of hay, make a stop here. They have a variety of hay with reasonable prices. Along with plenty of horse products. This is a hidden gem in Mathews.

*2 year update*still great. still gettin goat feed here.—————great staff & prices! They also have free delivery over 50$ purchase if you live within a certain range and flexible delivery prices if you live further out! (Very helpful with heavy supply runs for my goats)I got to tractor supply company only when I absolutely have to but I always prefer neighborhood feed and tack (shop local!)

Walked in with a kitten I found. I was unsure how old she was, what I needed to do and what I needed to get her. Everyone I met there were so helpful and I left there knowing she’s 3months, worm meds, flea meds, ear mite drops. A Big THANKS TO YA’LL !!! IttyBittyKitty is doing Great next is a Vet visit ;)

This is totally amazing store and they really care about every customer. I just bought one hay bale but believe me this store has everything for any pet that you could think of. And all the staff members are awesome and willing to help you find exactly what you need. And also they keep very beautiful giant parrot, so if you come with the kids they’ll be excited to see this talking bird.

This is the BEST place in the East Charlotte, Mint Hill, Matthews, Pineville area to buy supplies for your dogs. Top of the line food, supplements, dewormers and flea and tick preventatives. They carry anything you need for horses as well. This store is like being in the country. Good folks and outstanding service. Four Paws up!!!!

These people are AWESOME! It was nearing closing time for them, I had been searching for my dogs food for over an hour. Did a quick Google search, called them at 5:50 (10 minutes before they close) and they waited for me.As it stands now this is the ONLY Place I will buy dog food (unless for some reason they are out but I do not foresee that happening).Everyone here was helpful!!

Love this little store! Great selection of products for all kinds of domestic and farm animals. Once I discovered it, I haven't been back to Tractor Supply. Upon entering the store, an employee asks what you need - and then carries it to your car! I really appreciate not having to load the 50-pound bag of chicken feed myself!!!One of my favorite parts of the store is the birdseed area. They have ask kinds of individual seeds, nuts, and grains so you can mix up your own birdseed based on what birds you have around.There's also a board for fliers about animals for sale, including cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, goats, etc. It's a great community resource board.Of course, no review of this place would be complete without mentioning Biscuit, their sweet feline "mascot." He's a tattered old boy who decided to stay when his feral colony moved on. He has free roam of the store, but spends most of his time in a bed on the counter. He adds a lot to the small-town feel of the place, even though it's right off Hwy 74! :)

Great place. While I'd not been to Neighborhood Feed and Tack before, my mom has on numerous occasions to buy corn to feed the deer that come to our house. I just went there for the first time today... what do you know- a good gent whom I've played poker with for some time was running things; it's his dad's business. Was so glad to see him. I got 3 50 lb bags of corn; they were put in my car before I even paid. Great customer service- I am so glad I paid them a visit. I recommend them to all for seed, feed, and propane! Thanks for the sale-! :)

Only complaint I have is the bird suet cages are way over priced .I payed 6.79 dollars for one .can buy them other places for less then half .got at Ollie's for 1.79 .other then that. They are very ,helpful, informative, nice .they have a lot of variety also .

Love this place, everyone is so friendly. It’s a bit of a drive but I am able to take the outer circle and avoid the congestion of Matthews. Great place for dog, cat, bird, rodent, mini pig, chickens, horses and lots of others. It’s a small store but they manage to have a fantastic selection of things you can’t find in the chain stores.

Love this place for bird seed. Has a huge selection that you can’t go wrong. Also refills propane by the amount you actually need, not a flat rate like at Home Depot or grocery store trade ins. Also have a good selection of dog foods and treats for dogs. So many other things for animals, just do not purchase those things.
