Just stopped by for gas and a stretch, but found they've got a cute little restaurant tucked in the back of the convenience store!It was delicious, fresh, and made to order! Fried grouper sandwich, crabcake sandwich, and an order of fried pickles! What a great little stop!The restrooms were wonderfully clean and bright!We're so glad we found this local hidden gem!Food & drinks: Delicious!!!

We stopped here on our drive home from the Outer Banks. This is a great store for any kind of souvenirs. They had a Christmas tree and lots of Christmas decorations up at the time because it was early December. They have food, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, just a really great little store to stop at to get just about anything you can think of. Would definitely stop in there again.

I didn't stay at the hotel.There is a store/gas station on the property. I've passed the store hundreds of times and always had the thought I needed to stop. I had extra time and finally stopped.The store is packed with everything. There is beach clothes, beach toys, toys, games, food, road snacks, drinks, dog and cats supplies... pretty much there is way more of a variety than I imagined. I'm glad I stopped.

I really enjoy stopping at this store, however every time this one cashier is working she has the worst attitude. She was working today (2/22/23) it felt like she was staring a hole through my soul, and when we tried commenting on the weather to try and break the uncomfortable feeling, she gave a nasty look and didn’t respond to the comment, but she could laugh and joke with the people that came in behind us, she must know them. We are local to wanchese and stop here frequently, this same employee has shut the door and locked it in my face on a different occasion when I just wanted to use the restroom after getting gas, it was 10 minutes prior to closing. Any other time we have a great experience at the store. We enjoy the food and love looking around for unique items. Today just left us feeling very uncomfortable.

Had a quick lunch here today and really enjoyed it! I actually got a cheese burger with fries because this is the kind of spot that had to make a great burger and I was so right! I only wish I would have got a double!My friend got the soft shell sandwich and I had a bite of the soft shell! Cooked perfect! Light breading, not greasy and very good flavor! My friend loved it as well!Will definitely be stopping back by here again!Service was also great wait a nice staff who made sure we enjoyed our lunch!

We order food a lot from here. Usually always good. However this time we ordered I was told that my bun couldn't get toasted and they wouldn't make our fries crispy that their fries are going to be what it is! That they didn't have time. Very rude!!!! And needless to say because of that our food sucked. The fries were soggy and so was the bun that my pork sandwich and coleslaw was on. That's why I ask for my bun to be toasted. Date is 7/3/22.Date

I woke up at five in the morning to make a long drive back home. I stopped here for a biscuit and some coffee and the register operator was super friendly. She made my morning. Also they make a decent cup of Joe that was self serve

Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday around noon. All the locals were there including 3 policeman. Seating for about 40 people including 6 or 8 at the counter. Very good food at very reasonable prices. BLT and the oyster poor boy were good. Service was fast and friendly. Don't expect gourmet food or highway robbery prices. Definitely would recommend if you want comfort food and local atmosphere.

This hidden Cafe in a gas station and gift shop is a favorite of locals for a reason. Fresh seafood, homemade chicken salad, burgers and dogs, breakfast . . . Basics done right. Nice people working there and it is a regular when I'm in the area every other week.

I'm sure it's probably a good place normally, but whoever you had working on Saturday afternoon (Jun 20) was trying out some shady things. My total was a little high, so I looked at receipt and found two candy bars that I hadn't purchased. I asked the lady about them, and she looked to the other girl, and asked if she had cashed out the previous customer. "who? What, oh" was her casual response like it wasn't a big deal. They refunded me in cash, wierd but okay. The whole thing really felt like a scheme to get customers to pay for the big girls' candy bar addiction. I'm pretty sure I didn't get refunded the tax either. Something rather shady going on when you're not looking.

Great locally owned business, where you can buy food to fishing tackle including has for your boat or vehicle! They always have a crowd there, but the friendly staff get you taken care of in an efficient manner.

Clean bathrooms, very reasonably priced grill with a varied menu, including breakfast to order all day! Did I mention that it was reasonable? This was a fun and funky place to stop for gas and lunch!

It's gonna be you only stop heading inland after the five mile bridge. They know this so they've stocked up with the essentials you need. Prices are decent. Five stars not given because they are not open late which is crucial for a gas convenience store in a remote area.

Stopped for a break while driving and we didnt eat there. Looked clean and had a bunch of fun items to buy. 5 stars after we eat there on the next trip. It looks like a local joint ♡♡♡

I had a Leigh's sub and it was excellent. Ham, turkey, provolone, and fixings. Great toasted. And the staff is very friendly. Good small town stop for breakfast, lunch and souvenirs.

They had a problem with my service dog then I had to put up stuff that I decided I did not want what kind of place is this I have never seen anything like this.... And yes my dog has a service dog vest on and yes I have my paperwork..... Will never stop there again......

Well , there close by, but besides that ,it's deceiving you think it's just a gas or convenience store, but they have the most unique and affordable things to buy, I get gifts there as well for my own home... there's a few things on my wish list still.. hope my husband knows that, lol" oh and a quick lunch ,there's a small diner area in the side back area, as well as the girls that have waited on me..have always been courteous and kind... so thanks y'all and keep up the good job" I'l be back in I'm sure soon... oh and can't remember her name, but I have an illness and crave cotton candy, they had run out, I mentioned it, and no joke she had it reordered within a week, which my husband promptly purchased about 5 bags, gotta luv that for service, so thank you.. that really was above and beyond. .!
