Nice store with good people. Only thing the ammo is behind the counter can't see it and if there is a line of people it's just a no go for me. Everything else it's a great store.

Crazy things these days. It’s 2024 and the laziness of employees strikes again. “Sir, we don’t carry or sell pellet grills…..”. Ok….id walked past a few the last time I was in. They absolutely aren’t interested in my money I guess, I’ll buy it elsewhere. Wow….

I took my chainsaw to the Louisburg Ace hardware last week. I got it back today and used it to cut up some logs. They did a tuneup, filled it with gas and oil and it ran great! Good Job on tuneup. We had some communication issue, but my fault due to my lousy hand writing. They tried to call me yesterday, but I didn’t get it. But called them this morning, and it was ready. AGAIN GREAT TUNE UP! Thanks

Toney Ace Hardware is fabulous! Working around the house? Sometimes it's absolutely mandatory. Women know that in order to keep things running smoothly,men must be versatile. Regardless of whether you need a beautiful window glass cut to specific customized measurements, W/ L for a window frame, or door; they could do it. Possibly maybe in need of special nails or screws? This location have you covered! Visit them soon,for your home needs.The Staff is very helpful & all the aisles are safe to walk through.Very original & highly organized....

Shopping at Ace in Louisburg used to be easy and fun. Don't know what's happened but no one is friendly anymore, especially the cashiers...plus I hate the way the store is arranged now. It's dark and dreary looking. I stopped a week or so ago, bought a few things, handed the cashier a check and she gave it back and said it wouldn't take it, whatever that means. I've always paid with checks. Thank goodness I had enough cash in my pocket to pay for the items. Very embarrassing, with folks in line behind me. I used to buy all my Southern States feed there...and paid with a bank check. Today I stopped again and bought a 7.99 brush...the cashier rang it up, I paid cash, and she just pushed the brush across the counter to me, never offering to put it in a bag. Who is running this place now?

Paid for a scoop of stones at 1:30, sat inside the fence to get loaded over 30 mins. (Called inside twice to remind them that I’m out there waiting) I was on a time limit w/ kids in the truck so I went back inside to get a refund. One of the so-called managers was at the register and she showed no sympathy at all. She literally took my receipt entered the refund and that’s it. Didn’t say two words to me. I called back after leaving and her excuse was that they are short staffed like every other company in the United States & that all staff was assisting other customers, but this was the 1st time she mentioned that, not the two times I had to call inside while waiting in the heat! Where were the customers at that they were helping because there’s always guys that handle the outside stuff. The guy was outside on the bobcat when I pulled in. Still no apology for wasting my time and gas! Sad to say but their customer service and customer satisfaction is below 0 for me. *I’ve got videos of the experience*

Always friendly and helpful. Will greet you and walk you to your needs. They'll make sure you find what you're looking for. If they carry it, they'll find it for you. Check- out was speedy. Always a great experience. I know they appreciate everyone's business, because their staff is extremely helpful and caring.

This is a good size Ace. The inside is looking old but its clean and in good repair. They had everything I needed just not a great selection. I was working on a drainage project and ran into some roots. I got a pick and some gress seed as well as some small lynch pins for another project I need large cotter pins. I was out of luck. Fortunately these were not a critical item. The big issue was lack of selections. They only had 1 pick in stock. Its a Collins. I wasn't looking to spend that.much cash. I was hoping for an Ace brand pick. They had a fre small bags of seed. I got the good Scott's since its quick growing. Store associates were friendly. Wheelchair accessible. I like this Ace. They generally have what I need when I'm looking some something to complete a job.

Im so glad this place is nearby me. The employees are always so friendly and helpful. They help carry heavy things to your car which is not always offered at other places. High rating deserved 😊

Had a wonderful shopping experience. Everyone in the store was nice and friendly. They were able to find the specific item I was looking for and it was the only place in 45 miles that had it.It is really good to know they have an RV section with a wide selection of items

This place is awesome. The staff is always ready to help and know where items around the store are. I always go here when I'm in a pinch and need a quick part to complete a project. The have what I'm looking for most of the time. So that's why I always come back looking for the next part I need!

I visited this store today around 1:10 p.m. I walked around the store twice. I was looking for some brackets to mount something. And it was obvious that I was looking for something.I passed several employees. No one asked if I was looking for anything if I needed any help. No one! So after not finding what I was looking for I left.

My online order was ready for pickup and the service was great. They provided carry out which was much appreciated as the folding table was not heavy but I'm short with short arms which makes it difficult for me to handle some objects.

This is my go to place for Stihl chainsaws. I like that they carry Southern States brand livestock feeds. The staff are very helpful plus the store has 3 cats that have a very interesting history. All around good service.

I will never take anything there again for repair. Worst experience. When I came by to ask about repair (I knew the part needed), said 2 weeks minimum. But they then started saying, "it's an easy repair, an hour labor, could probably fit it in sooner. Asked if they had part for that Toro model (spindle bearing). Went back and checked and said "Yes". If they hadn't had the part, wasn't going to leave it. I left it for repair, expecting 2 weeks, hoping for 1 week (I know, I fell for it). Called 8 days later: was told part had to be ordered and no idea when it will come in, been having lots of problems with parts orders (covid, saudi arabia canal accident, etc)". I ordered the Toro part next Monday morning and it was delivered to us Thurs. Go back next day to ask about mower. Act like they've never seen me before, and then mechanic comes from out back and says mower wouldn't start when he went to bring it in. Says it must be the battery. I told them it just had a new battery put in. So he goes and finally checks it and says, "It's the solenoid". Now, I knew the solenoid had a small spot that would cause this (but if you started 2-3 times would start and then do so after on first try for quite a bit; so knew that was an issue and had ordered a solenoid when we ordered the bearings to eventually replace). He went on to say, that part would also have to be ordered and had no idea when it would arrive. Well, I'd had it. I then told them calmly to load it back on my trailer, we had ordered and rec'd the parts they couldn't somehow get and someone else to do it. They were very rude and stalked away, insisting they would have to load the mower onto my trailer with a forklift. I never said another word, let them struggle (incompetently) with figuring out the straps, etc to lift it (the main guy got off forklift and kicked mower and the chain link fence to their yard in a tantrum). I was tempted to start mower and drive it up trailer ramp. They finally got it on, and walked off without a word to me. Got home, mower cranked up on 2nd try. And yes, less then a day later by Saturday 11:00 am, someone else had all new spindle bearings and additionally a new deck belt installed. Will replace the solenoid when it actually goes bad. Don't believe a thing they tell you! Can't figure out if they're that incompetent or scamming, or both...

I hate to write this review because I have shopped here since it opened, but I emailed the manager and he has not replied. My Mom's like new Stihl backpack blower would not run wide open at Christmas. I worked down at Jeffreys growing up on these things, so I diagnosed what was going on. I instructed her to take it Toney Ace to have it repaired, since they are the closest Stihl dealer. The blower needed the carb cleaned out and possibly a rebuild kit from sitting. The mechanic put on a bunch of parts not needed, a rebuild kit and THEN a new carburetor. He charged my Mom for all the parts he didn't need to begin with and then charged her labor and an environmental fee TWICE on the ticket where she checked out. The total bill was $254.10 for a blower she could have bought another there brand new for $450. If a mechanic isn't competent enough to know how to clean out and rebuild a carburetor, you don't charge the customer for his incompetence and all the new parts he threw away. I assumed someone made a mistake, especially with the double billing on the labor. I'm sending my Mom the money to cover this charge, since I'm the one who told her to go there to begin with. Evidently, things have really changed at Toney Ace since I lived there. - Alan Ward

Little expensive on some things but overall a great place to shop for any home repair needs. They don't sell lumber though even they they have a lumber yard behind them that's owned by the same family.

I purchased a Stihl weed cutter 9 days ago from a supposed supervisor of Ace Hardware in Louisburg, NC. His name is Steve, and I would NOT recommend him to get assistance from in that store. He had an arrogant attitude, sold me the item without a tap spring, did not inform me that I had to use high test gasoline without ethynol to mix with the oil he sold me. We had a really tough time getting the trimmer to run, had to bring it back to the store. Only then a gentleman by the name of Ricky informed us it needed to be high test gasoline, advised us to start using that immediately with the oil, as the ethynol clogs the carburetor. He got it running for us, and took the time to show us how to get it started properly, which Steve didn't even bother to show us anything at all. He was only interested in getting me to purchase a trimmer that would cost me over $400. If and when I purchase from this store, I certainly will not have Steve assist me. His arrogance and failure to inform me of anything about the product turned me completely off. And I will be getting a spring from the store, as it was not with the trimmer as it should have been.
