Can't find any of the necessities I need and the food I really enjoy there anymore. Been several weeks of this. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to go to a grocery store that always is properly stocked. Very disappointed. The "improvements" they're making really aren't improving anything for the customers.

I’m literally sitting in the parking lot writing this. I’m never returning here. Employees smelling like weed. No registers open. Cashiers with attitudes. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I watched the cashier that was smelling like weed come up to the front. Open a register to check out someone she knew and then close out. I had one item and was standing behind a lady with a ton of stuff. She looked me dead in my face and walked off. Probably for another smoke break I assume. And the cashiers who rang me up talked to each other the entire time. I don’t understand why it took two cashiers to bag….. nonetheless, neither acknowledged customers. Very damn rude. Please run the cameras back to around 1:50pm on August 30th 2023. It was the register right in the middle.

I use the pick-up option often. Service has gone down a bit. Upon parking, customers must call Food Lion to announce their arrival. No one rarely picks up anymore. I have to call over and over again. You will have to literally call another department to express you are there for pick-up. Chosen food items are almost never in stock. Be prepared for substitute or nothing at all. Maybe others have better luck.

Usually a pretty decent experience. However, on this date 9/8/22, around 4pm, the cashier show poor customer services. At the farthest register closet to the McDonald's end, I noticed the cashier, a young white male, exhibit pretty good customer service to the white woman in front of me. Telling her to have a nice day, being very professional. Then it's my turn.... not a word, snatches my cookie bags, ginger snaps, still a cold hard, rushing body language, still silent, rings up my total like he's trying to rush me out the way. I tell him to throw the receipt away, still not a word. I'm not saying dude was racist, but as a black man, I noticed the difference in service, and it didn't look right. I can tell you how it looked and how I felt as a customer. Young white male, if you're reading this review, I was the black man in all black getting off work. People can tell the difference in treatment and service, they can read body language. Most of your communication is nonverbal. Be careful how you treat people, you may not know whose presence you're in! If you're going to choose who you make an effort to treat with good customer service, you're in the wrong field. I noticed, and so did God. Your generation is in trouble with people that act like you.

I use this Food Lion in particular for ordering my groceries online and picking them up.It's super convenient, the staff are courteous and very helpful.Thus far, all my orders have been correct, nicely organized in paper bags, and ready when I get there.The store itself has about everything you need. The store is clean and well maintained. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

I like dropping at food lion because I I'm familiar with the store layout. They always have the freshest fruits and vegetables. It's a family store. The employees are friendly and helpful. I shop here more than Walmart or Carly c's.

After living in Raleigh I never went to food lion for anything because the ones in Raleigh are like Kmarts - worse in every way than their Walmart counterparts. But this food lion is great it is big, it is clean, and the employees are polite and approachable. Other than that it is pretty much what you can probably imagine - there is a lot of food, I would even go so far as to say most of the things they sell are food.

Don’t know if it’s because it’s early in the morning but the staff here aren’t even remotely friendly. Stockers seem nice, but many of the morning cashiers stand around and are generally just an unwelcoming presence. I get that everyone has bad days, of course, but I haven’t visited this store once in recent history where a single employee treated me with an ounce of common courtesy, which is unfortunate given that the people who work here are in customer facing positions. After today I think I will just drive a little further and shop at Walmart (much friendlier staff there). 😕

Quality produce and fruit, and normally a very well-stocked grocery. Lately some shelves throughout the store remain empty of items I want, but I bet it's a problem on the supply side. Staff is mostly very helpful, friendly, and hard-working. It's my go-to store since the pandemic hit and will remain so long afterward.

MEAT DEPARTMENT MANAGER. This guy never speaks or even make eye contact with you. I have asked him questions in the past and he is so "COLD" with his answers, almost like I am bothering him. I have never seen him with a hat or hair net on nor a white jacket so out First meeting I asked if he was the Store manager and he said no. Today his nicely creased shirt was unbuttoned at the top and OF COURSE he didn't speak. I walked slowly past him but decided to go back and let him know how I felt. He looked up from the meat case with a goofy look and his face and looked at another customer as if to ask them "what is she talkingabout"? This type if treatment SUCKS from employees in your store, none of them speak by the way. I must say the cashiers and deli have always been courteous and Joyce is a pleasant face to see when I first walk in, she is Always polite. I actually drive Past Walmart to shop at this Food Lion. Probably won't be back for awhileSincerely

Food Lion is my go-to grocery store. I am able to get everything I am looking for and always at least a little more. The store is clean and the aisles are plenty wide enough for comfortable shopping. The staff are always pleasant and they work hard to ensure that you have a good experience. I love this store!

I enjoy the help I receive at Food Lion. I do wish they didn't run out of so many items by Thursday. Also would like to see Hazelnut decaf coffee. Green Mountain my first choice!!! We've also realized. The next item would be the Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom ice cream. Thanks so much

Hardly ever a wait at registers. Typically has the freshest produce compared to other local options. There's nothing worse than spending $10 on tomatoes & in 2-3 days they are soft & rotting on your counter! They also have better & fresher meat choices. I mainly shop this store for meat & produce everything else I get from Walmart unless there is an especially good sale on a particular item at Food Lion.

Cucumbers were mushy, tomatoes were hard as a rock, lettuce was browned, no one in the area to help. People in the deli weren't very unfriendly, and there was no one knowledgeable about the meats in the meat department and again no one was there to ask questions.

This was my first time ordering groceries online for curbside pick up from this particular store. (This service has not been available at the Louisburg store until recently, and I've been online shopping at the Rolesville FL.)This was not a smooth process. The Instacart link didn't work during the shopping for process or at pick up.When groceries were finally brought car, they were packaged poorly. The cold items were scattered in three different bags with canned goods, and ice cream was melting.I hope this service improves with time, but I'll likely make the drive to Rolesville for my next order.

The Food Lion store in Louisburg, NC is one of the best stores to shop for groceries. Their produce is the most fresh around and their prices are great compared to the Walmart. Their staff are so polite and cheery. A lady named Rosemary works many shifts there and she is one of the sweetest people I have even met. I only know her from the Food Lion but she remembers my name from talking while checking me out at the cashier and has even made several trips to bring me groceries that I have forgot when I left there. Rosemary goes over and beyond her duties there at the Food Lion and she should be credited for her AWESOME customer service and everything she does there to represent Food Lion.
