I recently moved to Locust and have been using this Food Lion for my grocery shopping ever since (about 4 months), I use Basil ALOT in my meals. Every time i go to buy it its being kept in the refrigerator near the bagged lettuce. It is always black and wilted. It clearly says on the package DO NOT REFRIGERATE and i have brought it to many ab employees attention back there and every day i still find it in the refrigerator, wilted and black. All of the bagged lettuce is also brown and wilted. Can never get a good head of Romaine. Shredded lettuce? Brown and wilted. The water shelf is often empty yet there's plenty stacked up in the far corner by the back of the store. This has to be one of, if not THE, worst Food Lion i been in.

The last 4 times I have bought produce from this store for my one year old baby, there has been mold on the food. I have even checked as best I could at store and yet when I get home, still mold! I’m so disappointed and frustrated with this because berries/produce is not cheap!!I’m done shopping here.

Second time getting produce from this store only to open it and find it's moldy or rotting 😞 I wish they did quality checks on their produce and take the rotting food off their shelves

Every item I wanted was out stock or they don't offer it. Bought fudge without looking at date that was best by May 2023. Oakboro store is much nicer.

It’s fine. Pretty much what you’d expect, everyone is nice, but store is old and dirty feeling. No self check out. Unfortunately the only grocery in the area.

If you shop the specials and BOGO deals, you can save more even though Walmart offers some lower prices. All the store brands I have tried have been excellent. The part I love best is the friendly and helpful employees.

The employees are not friendly, the store is not stocked. Literally every time I go they are out of something I need, lately it's been everything. I've put my entire cart back due to ingredients not being available. Also, nothing is rotated and there are out of date products on the shelves. The produce is consistently moldy and that's are flying everywhere. Every time I go I get mad but there's no other option... I do not do Walmart. Midland needs another grocery store desperately, This is freaking ridiculous

Food Lion's generally not too bad, but I've got milk from here two weekends in a row, and the milk gallon jugs are just dirty.They must be getting dust or dirt on them from somewhere in the delivery chain, but still, those milk jugs are probably carrying bacteria.I shouldnt have to worry about transferring dirt and bacteria from my milk jug to my food.

Love this food lion and always will. I just question stocki g shelves during a busy part of the day and the isle challenges , especially when workers don't care to be curious. I understand staffing challenges and you get who you get when hiring. Not hating on em...but years ago stocking was done at night. Just purely seems to make more sense.

Not for the first time I witnessed an older white haired female clerk belittle someone checking out with a SNAP card. This time the embittered clerk seemed to be training a new employee. “So many people have these!”, she snapped when the customer was using card to check out, while rolling her eyes. The customer was humiliated. What is it to that clerk? Who is she to humiliate someone like that? She didn’t impress me with her hateful, demeaning attitude. The trainee wisely did not comment. I will be calling the store to make a complaint- it’s not first time I’ve know the clerks there to loudly judge people. It’s why many drive from Locust to Oakboro Food Lion. I hope the embittered clerk never needs SNAP (formerly food stamps) or if she does, that she is treated more kindly than she treats others.

The store is clean and staff are friendly. However, needed items are always out of stock every time we come. Unable to get everything on the list each time. Prices are also more expensive than Walmart, but you get a clean store and quick shopping experience.

I love FL pick up/delivery online! You are the BEST! Great shoppers, good communication while the shoppers shopped at my store! The ladies were great! I am taking care of an elderly parent so I can't do much with her and it takes me forever to shop! This option is fantastic!!! Thanks Food Lion!

I am a frequent customer there, associates are always so friendly...even the manager says hello every time I come in. Produce and meats are always fresh and priced reasonably. Stock is always being replenished. I do 2x a week, big shopping, and pretty much small forgotten items every other day.Finally was able to log on for extra $ savings, my fault it took so long, not thiers

Stopped in with my brother to grab a few things. Even though tomorrow is first day of school. The place was well stocked. The best part of my experience was the cashier. She was very friendly and got a big laugh at her guess at his age. The people here are fast, friendly and greet you with a smile.

The store is always clean and well-stocked. The employees at the customer service desk aren't always polite but the other employees are. We just moved here from another town that is only 8 miles away but the prices at this Food Lion are higher on almost all items.....like the milk is only $1.99 at other Food Lions but is over $3 at this one.

A good location. Typical of other food Lion stores but that isn't a bad thing. Had no issues here at all. Same as the one in my home town. Always offers a fresh selection of meats and produce, along with all the box and dry goods one would expect from such a facility. I would recommend to anyone in need of groceries or basic home supplies.

Food Lion in Locust is a small store. Busy with local customers and the atore has always looked dirty. Employees are always stocking. But things i need and have always gotten there, are never restocked. Or customers buy them up. The meat is okay at best. The steaks are thin and tough. Pork seems to be okay and the Food Lion chicken is very good. Produce is good but the selections are not as full at other stores.Employes are always friendly and helpful.

I delivered freight to this location. I was extremely impressed with the work ethic of the staff. Everyone including management was contributing to getting the work done. They were extremely nice and I expect they carry that same level of excellence to the customers in the store.

Staff is friendly and helpful, this store does curb side pickup, sanitizing wipes available by the door, very few people not wearing masks. Wish the store staff would cover nose as well as mouth with masks, however.

Nice clean store except the deli. The deli meat slicer is disgusting. Reported it several times, with no results. Now they hide the deli meat slicer from the public.

Great, prices are close enough to Walmart to shop for everything except toiletries.Clean store, love the meats, produce and most of all your milk doesn't spoil in 3-4 days
