Only reason I'm giving this Dollar Tree one star is because of the amazing and friendly cashier. The store was in a mess and hardly any stock on the shelves. Customers were standing in a long line at the register. The cashier never called for help when more than four customers were in line. Never saw another employee in the store stocking the shelves or helping at the register area. Dollar Tree stores have gotten so bad it's not even worth shopping at them anymore.

Friendly, helpful staff that make my kids feel i clouded in shopping trips, they don't mind chatting with my little girls who ask too many questions and tend to over share. They are very kind to every person of every age. We love this clean and organized location!

If I could give zero stars I would. I went there today and wanted to buy a few things and tried to pay going to register one ,where a young lady was at the register. While unloading my cart and her watching me ,telling me as soon as I was finished .to go to register three and she will take care of us there. So I proceeded to unload my cart one more time at register three, only having the cashier unpacking boxes and looking at us, not even acknowledging us standing there. After a few minutes of this I decided I was disrespected enough and left. Not sure if it was my face, my perfume or why this clerk had to be this rude to us, especially with Walmart across the street. I love the trinkets in the dollar tree but I am not going back to be more disrespected. Sad to say that customer service does not exist at this dollar tree.

It’s like a trip to the zoo every time I come here. Today the manager with purple hair loudly yelled at an employee in the middle of the store while there were several customers around. The employee was clearly new and made a mistake that did not warrant being screamed at, especially not in front of others. I’ve seen this same manager joking around with her other employees and acting completely inappropriate at other times that I have visited this store. It’s always uncomfortable when I enter this Dollar Tree, even when it’s not busy. A lot of times it’s because of this same manager. Unfortunately I will continue shopping here because I’m broke, but it feels like a punishment when I walk into this store.

I have to agree with Brittany. Since they pushed Velvet out, that store has DEFINITELY gone down hill. That Company has made a BIG Mistake loosing that one. You can't find another person so dedicated to their job like she was. You would think that her Boss and Team would have had her back and fight for her whatever the situation was.She would tell me how she loved her job and how the customers would become part of her Dollar Tree Family. Also, everytime I went into that store, seeing her smile and the way she cared about her customers and that store, SHINED. She really cared how that store looked, just go to any of the other ones, and you will understand what I mean. It's ashame that the Big Wigs in the Company didn't get to know this Wonderful person and now KARMA is finding the way through those doors. I know I speak for all of those that knows Velvet, We miss your smile, laughter, and Kindness and pray that you found a job that is Worthy of having you as an Employee.

This dollar tree has horrible service the manager Amanda yelled at me in the store when I asked a simple question if she could change my cash back tens to five and her response was “I’m not the bank”. Not only was she sarcastic when I asked a simple question but she discriminated me.I don’t know how someone like that can become a manager, she was extremely unprofessional. And the store requires all the customers and workers to wear a mask however she was not even wearing one.

Amanda was amazing! She went above and beyond to help my 12 year old son with AA batteries! She was smiling and very professional. Because of this experience, this is my new FAVORITE Dollar Tree.

This store has always been great but today when we went in all 3 employees had their masks down around their chins or not on at all and were talking to customers that way. Since customers have to wear masks, I'm assuming workers have to too so that was kind of weird. Maybe not behind the shield at the register, but the other 2 were walking around. We decided just to leave.

We live in Locust and my 24 year old mentally disabled son enjoys walking through the town and visiting the shops and restaurants. He goes to this Dollar Tree b/c they have his favorite candy "warheads". He has no short term memory due to a traumatic brain injury and the employees at this store are always patient with him. They never get annoyed with his repetitive questions and are always willing to help him find things he wants.

Worst customer service ever!! The “manager”, Amanda, has absolutely NO people skills, and no business working with the public!! This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in any retail environment! I will NEVER go back to this location!! I would rather drive the extra miles to the Mint Hill location or go to a different store all together, then give them 1 cent of my money! 😡
