I ordered a shower stall and had it ship to Ace Hardware once I arrived to pick it up they have the Nicest worker I ever mat of the lake they are So friendly and KIND. The cashier is top of the line friendly and very respectful also she makes you want to shop there all the time!!!

Small town, Small business. Ace Hardware at Lake Gaston gives all new meaning to customer support and appreciation. We bought a grill from them yesterday and were pleasantly surprised when they offered to deliver it to us, free of charge!! "Just part of the service. " was the response from the friendly associate who helped us. When they delivered our grill this morning, they included a gift and a hand written thank you note!! Please be sure to support this local family owned business, they truly appreciate you!!

Excellent establishment. Very organized and very cleanly. All items were easy to find and the staff was tremendously friendly. (Even the boss-the cat that greeted me at the door). I will definitely forgo most of the places over in Roanoke rapids and come all the way out here for my homeware/hardware needs

We don't have Ace Hardware stores near where I live anymore but this one is hands down the biggest and nicest one I've ever seen. Being at the lake they have tons of boat/ fishing gear, life vests galore and so much other stuff. The staff has been very helpful and friendly both this year and last when my family has come to Lake Gaston for our annual family vacation.

Management and staff are superior to anywhere else I have been. Being in business myself for over 30 yr. I can tell you that you cannot put a price on this kind of customer service. Always very helpful. The employees will actually take you to whatever product you ask about. Not just point the way. We are always greeted upon entering. Great place to pick up things for the house/ garden/ yard/ lake.

Had to refill two propane tanks. Ben made it super easy and helped me realize I paid for 2 30 pound tanks instead of 2 20 pound tanks due to my mistake of not realizing the size. Also Mary was nice enough to go fix my refund without me having to go back inside. Super friendly people.

Never had an issue in this location. The staff is very helpful and they really get to know you on a first name basis. Employees like Kari, Cheryl, Brooke and Tiffany are hard to come by in an area like Lake Gaston and we are glad to see them when we shop.

Well stocked and staffed. If you can't find it in the store they will order it. If it can't be ordered and you ask them to, they'll do whatever it takes to "get you going", so to say.The fella who was helping me couldn't find the right bolt for an assembly nut on my boat trailer. He tried everything but nothing worked so he took the whole piece in the back and did something to it and now it works with regular bolts. Which they DID have in stock.If you know what you're looking for when you walk in, you'll be in excellent hands.They have a store cat as well. The kids love her and ask about her.

5 stars because they almost always have what I need. Great helpers on the floor that point you in the right direction while walking with you to the product. Super friendly.A tad expensive but if I were to run to South Hill, Roanoke Rapids or Henderson it would cost me a lot more! Stop in and check them out. They have lots of stuff that will surprise you. Kind of like an old country store without the hoop cheese lol.
