It was really awesome that they do talks on all the animals often and I all the cages it tells you what time the next talk is the animals look well taken care of and nice and chunky LOL but playful. Have a nice little museum in there too which was really cool I didn't expect it but I was happily excited to get to explore! Good fun for all ages including adults and senior citizens. There are a few gift shops the have souvenirs shirts stuffed animals. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous!!

This place was adorable, the animals were all out except for the cougars, We even got to see a bear fresh out of hibernation. The otter was swimming about and the eagle was flying around. It was chilly, even on a 70 degree day, so bring a hoodie in case! There are hand railings to use for the walking paths as well. The price is $15 dollars per person to enter GrandFather Mountain state park, if you plan to make an entire day out of it, I would say the price is worth it, but if you just plan for the animal habitat and museum, not really worth the price, as the bridge is being reconstructed.

Beautiful, well preserved and maintained park. Worth the entry price, comes with narrated guide up the mountain. Wildlife park is small but we caught some great interactive otters. They also have bears, eagles, elk, and a cougar.

A must-do if you visit Grandfather Mountain. The bears were out and put on a nice little display for all of us. The naturalist that gave background info on the bears was extremely informative and very friendly.

We loved visiting the zoo. Hearing the experts talk about each animal is very educational. We couldn't believe Fannie Mae, the bear, responded to her name being called. How crazy was it that she came to be given treats? The walk will give you a little bit of a workout, but it was so worth it. If you visit Grandfather Mountain, we highly recommend stopping to see the zoo and hear all information about it.

It was great to see such large enclosures for the animals. The paths to the enclosures are steep..you'll definitely get your exercise..

Definitely wore the wrong shoes for this experience! But that's no one's fault but my own. This zoo is awesome though. They have bears, otters, freaking mountain lions, and even bald eagles! I'm going again, but next time I won't be wearing my flip-flops.

The animals looked rightfully miserable. A thoroughly depressing sight to see. Just skip the habitats, the rest of the park is great.
