The plates are waaaaaaaay to small now just left there, got home and was very disappointed will not be going back for awhile.and I haven’t started eating yet, and it’s already looked like I’ve eaten!

So disappointment!The waitress was polite, and the scenery was peaceful which are the only positive things. The hushpuppies were cold, but we were okay with it. I ordered fish & shrimp, with onion rings, my husband ordered a small seafood platter, with fries and red slaw. All of the food was cold except for the onion rings.After trying to eat the food, we went to stand in a line to pay, and had to wait 10 minutes. We won't ever go back.

Somewhat disappointed, my second visit here and the first was much better. In all fairness they were very busy due to another fish house having closed permanently and so they had both crowds. My disappointment stems from seeing other groups who arrived and ordered after us were getting served before we did. I also had ordered onion rings which only arrived after we had finished. I hope our next visit will be a better one, and if so I'll update my review.

Food was good. They were out of several items on menu we tried ordering, so our options were slim. Everyone requested Sweet Tea but unfortunately only 2 cups were available and no more was offered to be made! It being Saturday evening approximately 7p, you'd think hospitality would be better. I understand being busy and running out of items...will try this establishment 1 more again! Hopefully with exceptional results 🤞🤞🤞

Just left this restaurant. When we entered, they had about half of their tables filled with diners, the other half was filled with trash and leftovers from previous diners. I had to clear off a table to sit down. Waitress came over and slapped a soaking wet rag all over the table, left it wet, then threw some menus down at us so they stuck to the table. We were expecting good food since they have 4.4 stars. We ordered a shrimp cocktail for starters and then our main entrees. She came back a few moments later to give us our slaw which was part of the entree. A few moments later we received hushpuppies, also part of the entree. Then another few moments later, brought over a basket of shrimp with a small plastic cup of melted butter. We asked where the 'cocktail' part of the shrimp cocktail was. She looked around the restaurant and grabbed a plastic squeeze bottle of 'cocktail sauce' (worst cocktail sauce ever!) And rolled it across the table at us. After we finished the worst shrimp cocktail ever, the waitress came over with 3 paper plates of food. (I ordered the platter) the fries tasted like they'd been cooked six hours before and then reheated in the microwave! The crab was the best thing on my plate but I guarantee it was bought like that and just re-heated by them. Also, the restaurant was so cold that another diner went back to her car to pick up a blanket to wrap herself inWe will not be returning to this place, ever!

Freshly cooked fish which is awesome. Great salad bar. Loved the hush puppies. Clean and great service. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. After your meal you can go out on the deck and feed the fish and turtles great for families.

I came here with my family. The customer service was awesome.The food wasn't good. Order salt & pepper shrimp with whole flounder. There was so much pepper on the shrimp my sister my sister and I couldn't eat it. Told our waiter and he brought us some regular fried shrimp. That wasn't good, its was so soggy and mushy. My whole flounder had no flavor. The only good thing was the tea, baked potato and salad bar

Service was good. During Covid-19 you would expect them to comply with face masks and seating customers 6ft apart but this was not the case. Waitresses had no face mask on and no tables were blocked off. I have never written a review on anyone but while most people will not care about masks and seating arranged 6 ft apart I do. I know first hand about the virus and yes my opinion and my choice to come back. So I will not be coming back.

My family went here for my daughter's b'day celebration. There were 11 of us and the staff very graciously provided us with a large enough space to all sit together. Servers were very friendly and took great care of us and the food was delicious! Very nice experience!

Enjoyed the buffet on a Sunday. Great selection of home cooked food, fried chicken, catfish, steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, salads, desserts. All excellent. Beautiful spot on the lake. Amazing staff.

Welika Lake Fish camp is just plain AWESOME.I got the surf and turf and The steak and shrimp would melt in your mouth.There red slaw is the best I have ever eaten and there hush puppies are fantastic.If you have never eaten there I would recommend you go.You will not be disappointed.Keep up the Great work

Welika Fish House is always a great choice! For people here in Anson which is where the restaurant is. You can get general staples when it comes to the fish camp menu. The only thing that sucks about this place is that it's only open Thurs - Sat 5pm to 9pm and Sun Noon for lunch.The salad bar is always delicious and the burgers are great. They did stop accepting debit and credit cards but they started accepting them again. They charge 4 cent to the dollar to use your card.Lastly, on Sunday they have a buffet with desserts.

Glad to see so many good reviews but every time I have had occasion to visit over the last couple years I have been less than impressed and left displeased with food (cold over cooked and hard fish, oysters lumped together with raw batter, deviled crab worse ever tasted or prepared). When I notified server of issues, received nasty look and ignored. Also, if one pays the price on the menu for the large seafood platter, hamburger steak plate and adds 2 salad bar orders, don't you think adding several more dollars for an additional styro-foam plate is a rip-off so that your 82 year old mom can have just a couple bites from said platter since she has to limit her fried food consumption due to gall bladder issues? Last trip was just that! Last trip!

The first time I went here was in 1977 I had not forgotten about how delicious the food was or the atmosphere. So when I came across the directions it was time for another visit, and I was not disappointed still great hot food and friendly people. Get a chance go by you won't be disappointed at all.

Great food and service. All you can eat plates specials are piled high to start with. Food was not greasy at all. Will start doing this on a regular basis. Even though the hours are limited it was well worth the trip.

If I could give it ZERO or negative stars, I would! It was probably some of the worst seafood I've had my entire life. The only thing that had any flavor was the red slaw that might have been ok if it wasn't swimming in juice. My fiance and I both got the large platter, flounder had no seasoning what so ever, tasted like cornmeal, not even any salt. The scallops were ruined because they were fried to death, almost needed a knife to cut one in half. Oysters were fried hard also. Tasted the deviled crab 3 times, then I just gave up, and I'm sure those are bought pre-made, so they must just order the tasteLESS kind. How do you mess up frozen fries? Well you don't cook them all the way and don't put any salt on them!! The mini baby shrimp was the only thing really ok. I mean maybe it had something to do with the kid just standing in the kitchen looking at his phone? Didn't look like he was paying attention to much else. Or maybe it was the short, round lady who acted like she got mad because they had another order come in? Don't think either of them cared about what went out the kitchen. The ONLY thing good was the sweet tea! Oh, even bush puppies weren't any good, might have been ok if they were hot, or warm at least to kinda melt the butter they give you to dip them in. They're just room temp hush puppies with cold butter. Will not be visiting here again! Captain D's is actually better and never thought I'd think that about an actual "seafood restaurant."

Great restaurant with wonderful views a very pleasant environment however my daughter and myself were craving seafood but we made the mistake of going on Sunday which is the only day they have just a regular buffet. It was very disappointing however still a great time and food just not what we wanted
