My food was great and super cheap. The sweet tea is always on point and the strawberry pie was amazing. I have gone back a few times. The breakfast was really good and fast. They are open late so after a long day of work if I don't feel like cooking I'll swing in for a good country meal that won't break the bank.

The Old Store is a must stop if you are on 74 Hwy. Great memorabilia with antique posters, toys and household items that will take you to how was the life "back in the days". Great food as well.Be aware it is "Cash Only". They have an ATM that runs very slow, but you will get some bills to spend here.

We stop at The Old Store on a regular basis on our way to the beach. There is a large chicken statue in the front that is a landmark. The food is always good. You can get fresh home cooked vegetables or a fantastic burger. My favorite is the bacon cheeseburger with chili. Cash only but they have an ATM inside. Eat roasted peanuts while you wait for your food. I highly recommend.

One of those little places you stop to see road side attraction and find cool old diner & old store. We happened upon this place and met the owner and friend of owner who treated us with great hospitality. Good food & great atmosphere if you love antiques & cool old stuff.

I'm an African American college student from North Carolina who happened to be passing through Lilesville some weeks ago with some family after a week long beach trip. I was suffering a bad case of Strep Throat/Scarlet Fever upon my return, forcing me to wear a head garment to avoid being contagious. My grandparents (Caucasian) suggested we stop here to eat because the old vintage charm was appealing to them. Upon entering, I noticed a confederate flag coupled with a Trump/Pence campaign sticker on the door which of course gave me second thoughts, but because my grandparents felt so strongly on eating here, I kept my thoughts to myself. The vintage decor was nonetheless very enticing and charming, and the friendliness of the wait staff made my experience better than anticipated... that was until I got up to use the restroom. Upon exiting the restroom, a haggard looking elderly woman with an arm cast approached me rudely telling me to take my hat off. When I asked why, she just replied its just the rule. I walked away refusing to take my hat off, and looked around the store to notice other patrons, who were sporting their confederate headgear. One must ask why this haggard elderly woman did not confront these guests about their hats, but did not hesitate to confront me about mine. Having experienced this kind of encounter before growing up down south, I knew right then what kind of mindset that was prevailing throughout this establishment. Despite having a pleasant exchange and service from our young waitress, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable giving this establishment my business, and did not hesitate in voicing this concern to my grandparents, who still insisted we stay. It was indeed an uncomfortable and off putting visit, and I must commend the young waitress who strived to make our visit as pleasant as possible despite my seemingly prejudice encounter. It is because of this that I rate The Old Store 1 star. I would not recommend this establishment if you are anyone that falls short of the status quo or preference of patron. I hope this review brings light to anyone blinded by the seemingly quaint southern charm, being reminded that with Southern hospitality, comes Southern animosity.

A great place to stop, relax and enjoy good southern food. Great service, delicious BBQ in a down home atmosphere. They have an excellent variety of home made fruit juices from local produce. Love this place!

The burger was delicious the meat was cooked just right but the reason I gave it four stars was because the french fries were a little overcooked if you ever come here I would suggest trying the double cheeseburger it is delicious juicy and tender .😋

The food is amazing couldn't be any better the fried chicken sandwich was so delicious the grilled chicken platter was good but the downside was the fries were overcooked but besides that the food was amazing I recommend if you see this place come to it

This place is incredible I was on a road trip to get bk home to my family and couldn't find anywhere to use the bathroom and this lady was nice enough to let me use the bathroom behind the building and she even stood guard so nobody would see me. Thx again
