Lovely local shop of delicious doughnuts. They have a nice twist in that they will fill the doughnut with your choice of filling...custard, vanilla, raspberry and lemon. Custard was my choice and simply yummy. You can't leave without getting an apple or blueberry fritter. There are small chunks of apple which is a lovely change from other fritters I've eaten.Staff was friendly. There are a few tables. Sitting next to the big windows is a must.Stop in. You will enjoy it!

I just moved to Lexington NC. I was looking up things to do and places to visit, food wise and Red Donuts came up. I love the aesthetic of this town and Red Donuts has to be one of the staples because their donuts are amazingly delicious 😋🤤 hands down. I never want another donut if it doesn't come from Red. I believe another location in NC opened up but I'm not sure of the location. Anyway, if you're passing through Lexington and want donuts. Definitely visit Red Donuts.

First and foremost I am so proud of my classmate from ECPI College Saro for the success he has had with opening and maintaining the only donut shop in Lexington "Red donut." I have traveled the distance as well as my daughter to get some of the best donuts in NC. I highly recommend you go and check this shop out. My favorite donuts are listed below- Red Velvet- Blueberry- Regular glazed- Twists- Maple- Lemon- The Cake donuts- Long JohnsMy daughter loves the maple bacon and bear claws. My mother loves the bear claws and fritters. Everyone has there favorite. Hands down the Red Velvet is one of the best donuts and the first red velvet donut I have ever tried. Red donut supports their local community, they give, donate, serve, and the customer service is top-notch. Saro, is one great businessman. We have come along way from our ECPI days and I wish you and your family nothing but the best in your future endeavors.Kid-friendliness: For all ages. Very welcoming environment. Especially for kids, they will love the variety of donuts

Boba tea was really good, I had a chai with honey dew melon, and the donuts were definitely awesome!Parking: I didn’t have a hard time parking but it’s also not many spaces available.

Store is in a great location on North Main Street across the street from the Lexington Police Department and is within walking distance from several restaurants. Parking is parallel on both sides of Main Street and nearby side streets. Took my wife and two grandsons there after eating lunch for fresh doughnuts, we got a dozen of a wide variety of doughnuts to eat there and to take home. Grandsons loved the red velvet doughnuts, bear claws and watch the friendly ladies filling the stuffed doughnuts with jelly. They can't wait to go back.Parking: Parking is limited ( parallel parking ) on Main Street and side streets, but even if you have to walk a block or so it is worth it.Kid-friendliness: The cheerful, courteous, and friendly ladies working the counter made my grandsons feel right at home.

Stopped into RED Donut Shop at the corner of E. Second St and Main in Lexington NC. Donuts in and of themselves are good, but Red Donut has a very light and tasty. They fill the donuts on the spot. The cake donuts are soft and moist and the cinnamon rolls have a nice airy-ness to them. I highly recommend make this a quick stop if you are passing thru the area.

Oh my goodness this donut shop is worth the hype! They sell some cake or old fashioned-style donuts, but their specialty is the yeast donuts. They sell some yeast donuts with glaze or frosting, but I personally think their stand out is the jelly donuts! You can select a powdered sugar donut or glazed donut, and pick raspberry, strawberry, lemon, custard, chocolate, or vanilla jams or creams to fill the donut while you watch. They are so good and fresh. Their apple fritter was also absolutely incredible. They are so good, and worth the drive from Winston Salem for the donuts alone!

Honest review here. Went in on a whim for a quick snack with the kiddos. This donut shop is conveniently located directly across the street from Lexington Police Department… so there’s that. They offer everything from the standard hot glazed to some of the beat fritters I have ever tasted anywhere, period! We were so impressed with the selection we went home with 3 dozen donuts that we may never be able to eat our way through the end of. Every donut we sampled was amazing. The choose your own filling donuts were super cool. Strawberry vanilla, raspberry lemon, the list goes on and on. They also support their vets and do offer a military discount. I highly recommend the polite fun loving team Red’s has. Go see em. Tell them Chief sent ya! You won’t regret it.

Quaint little donut shop in Lexington, NC. On-street parking. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of seating options. Clean. Public bathroom. Bathroom is wheelchair accessible. The toilet paper dispenser is a little out of reach - be prepared to lean. Prices are comparable. Pick any donut, then... pick your filling. They fill them on the spot. Delicious food, friendly staff. Fun for the whole family. They also serve coffee and have a cooler with misc. drink options. #reddonutshop

LOVE LOVE LOVE these donuts. Not only are these donut’s big, but they’re fluffy, delicious, and messy in the best way possible. Every time I have ordered a dozen, they’re always still warm in the box and taste even better warmed up after some time has gone by. Krispy Kreme fans, think again, this local shop will change your mind about what a good donut is. The maple glaze is a classic but absolute favorite, and must buy every trip into Red’s.Parking: Plenty of street parking in front of the store and on the opposite side of the street.

Immaculately clean with great cheerful customer service. Was over in Lexington and decided to finally go in after hearing and reading the great reviews. THEY ARE JUSTIFIED AND CONFIRMED. I told the lady at counter that I had never been in before and a customer that had just been served said "you are in for a treat". So I asked her for a recommendation and without hesitation she said the blueberry fritter. I love fritters but I would never have ordered blueberry [I'm an apple guy]. But I followed her recommend and got the blueberry one and a glazed cake. Oh my! The lady was right. They are fantastic. Many times you cant taste the fruit in said fritter but these blueberries were the star of the show. The glazed cake was awesome as well. Cake donuts tend to bed heavy and sometimes greasy but not here! Might have been the lightest cake donut I have ever tasted. The glaze was perfect and not overly sweet. It's a cool funky spot nicely decorated. We have some good donut places around here but this place is right at top.Update: Popped in and picked up a couple donuts. I did not realize they filled their Long John's (they call them Bismarcks I believe). They also fill twists! I went with filled twist with vanilla creme and it was the best creme I have ever had!!

We love Red Donuts and go there frequently for sweet treats. This time we were looking for something special for our Gender Reveal party with family. Doughnuts seemed like the perfect treat to make a pink and blue display. Red Donuts was willing to help and wanted to make sure that they did just what we wanted - offering various combinations, colors, fillings, pick up time, etc. We would definitely recommend Red for a quick snack and for your more special requests!

My mom and I went in on a Saturday around 4pm. Although we only saw donuts in the display case, we were not disappointed. We bought a dozen of random donuts and were very impressed. The freshness of the donuts were top notch. They were still soft and fresh the next day. The girls working were super sweet and patient with us. My mom left her drink on the counter and one of them ran out the door to bring it to us. Will definitely go again!

I used to be just a Krispy Kreme gal. No more. These are the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. I can’t eat everybody’s doughnuts. But these are so light and airy with amazing flavor. The fritters are the best. I just tried a bear claw today and annihilated it while driving down the highway. If you’re not on a diet, please go and inhale one of these pastries. You will not be disappointed!

LOVE their donuts! Their maple bacon donuts are the best! Had some fresh and they were SO GOOD! I prefer this place over Krispy Kreme! You can also choose any filling for your donut and they fill it in front of you!
