Corporate needs to stop building new stores and focus on the ones they have. Stop sending so much merchandise, specially when the stores are understaffed and run by lazy kids with no work ethic. Because this is what it look like every single time. All 4 Dollar General locations within a 15 mile range look the same way as this one.

The staff is great. But every time it rains. The store has to close due to a leak which causes the entire store floor to flood. Workers claim its been like this for months and DG hasn't fixed it. Either the air is broken causing to store to close or water is in the floor.

One of the cleaner Dollar General stores I've been to. I worked at a Dollar General, and the sales associates at this one were extremely helpful, patient with my questions, fast & efficient when it came to checking out. And they were so nice and never once did they make me feel rushed! Excellent service & store! 10☆'s!!!

This is by far the biggest and nicest dollar general store I've shopped at! And the employees are all so nice and helpful. You've got to see how big this store is...it's the size of close to 3 old dollar general's. Therefore there isn't stock sitting in isles making it hard to get through the isles

Saturday there was a young lady there who was clearly on something with another young girl in the back. Cashier was rude. Store is always dirty with trash everywhere. Most of the people who work there have a great attitude. There just seemed to be something weird going on Saturday the 15th afternoon hours.

The Tyro dollar general store is disgusting and that is putting it mildly. The trash that is around that end of the store is unbelievable! They leave food out for cats. Probably to take care of the rat problem due to the trash. I once saw a dead mouse at the entrance of the store 🤢. I have also seen the store doors left open and the cats going into the store. A couple weeks ago I bought four Starbucks mocha drinks to later find out that all 4 expired back in February. One day I ran in there to grab a gift bag and overheard the manager speaking to the cashier about overtime. She was not speaking harshly to the young girl but she was using foul language the whole time. I think that is very unprofessional to speak to your employees that way and where the customers can overhear it. The only reason I gave this store a one star was so I could leave my comment.

Only giving a so so review. Its a quick place to grab a card or charcoal. Its hit or miss in cleanliness and organization. Today it was a mess. They sell curtains and shower curtains but never have hooks. Makes no sense to me. Employees were not wearing mask. But customers were not either.

The isles are cramped with items yet to be stocked. Like... to the point that you literally can’t fit a cart into the lane. The employees are overworked and always look depressed and tired, and constantly talk about the fact that they are underpaid. So... I guess it makes sense that they don’t stock the shelves with great speed. I probably wouldn’t either if I was making breadcrumbs. These people deserve better.

This has nothing to do with Dollar General as a business but in regards to their staff. Today, as I was checking out. I overheard the cashiers talking amongst themselves about someone that fell out front and that an ambulance was on the way. I spoke up and informed them that I am a first responder and would check on the person until the paramedics arrived and I asked the cashier if she could get some gauze and meet me outside in case the person was bleeding. She agreed and got the supplies to help someone in need. This staff member was a tremendous help as the gauze not only controlled the patients bleeding but also acted as PPE for the patient and the provider. Much appreciated!!! Kudos to you ma’am, thank you for your help today.

For this door to be extremely busy as it was on the day that I attended they only had one register in working order with a young man that didn't know what he was doing. The manager was called to the front three times and it's those three times it took her a total of 10 minutes tickets to the front. The clearance items they had on sale let's not bring it up as sale price and the cashier had an attitude because he has a price override the item. Finally I just gave up left myself sitting on the counter and walk out a very disappointed customer. I doubt that I ever return to the store again.

Dollar Generals are nice and clean when they open up a new store. This store was like so many other Dollar General stores that has been open for awhile. It looks junky. "Stuff" laying around in the wrong place, stuff that has been opened and laid down in random places. I wish people would treat other people's property as though it was there own. And you can't tell me that is the way they treat their own property! Clean up the Dollar General Stores all across the states.

The Dollar General in Tyro, NC has the best service. If there's a line waiting to checkout, they open the 2nd register to get customers checked out quickly. The store near my house on highway 150 near Becky Hill rd needs their manager. Very slow customer service and always long wait times to check out at 1 register.

There are so many racks in the aisles you can’t see anything. Literally 5 racks up the middle aisle and 2 or 3 on a few more aisles. It’s been like this for days. The shelves are also in such disarray that you can find anything. I frequent the store bc it’s local. However this is ridiculous. They are either severely understaffed or just lazy. Some manager or whatever named Stephanie was just walking around talking on her cellphone, and there was one other cashier. That was it.

The most unorganized D.G. I have ever went in. You can't get down the aisles for the pallets in the way. It is definitely a huge fire hazard. I will not be shopping at that store in the future.

Employees are helpful when you can find them in the jungle of a mess. Stuff from stock is always out. In not sure they ever finish putting trucks away they just put the stack of stuff close to the area its suppose to be and leave it

I dislike the Dollar General in Tryo because the guys that they have running the store look like Trash. The guys have scrusey looking hair and beards with beads in their hair and beards. The Dollar General store should hire neat looking people to work there. At least most of the female employees look descent.. If the store can't hire descent looking employees then they should lock the doors! I have heard other peopleSay the same thing

You couldn't even shop the aisle with freight everywhere looks like a toronado entered the building. Need to leave freight in back and not block aisle bring out a cart at a time until its unloaded don't bring everything from back at once.

We come into Morganton every year for travel volleyball tournaments. This is our go to. Great prices , huge portions , friendly staff....just a great experience every time...plus great prices on 32 ounce drafts

The only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because i have every coupon and only get the coupon items and i spent alot and i shouldnt have if u go back and look i shop at dg all the time and im about to stop ! If your going to have a coupon on a item and i buy that item because of the sale i should get the coupon added to my list to cash out and none of mine were applied today and i have alot of coupons on my dg app checked and the seperate ones also i get when im sent more thruy emails fix it and ill give u a 5 i was supposed to save alot today but i took the loss i was to embarressed to put it back..

Great placing because there are so may around here. I just believe that they could be a little cheaper because Walmart is basically cheaper on everything that's sold there & I think I'll drive a couple extra miles 2 save more $ on a trunk load of items.

Can't find anything since they updated the store in Tyro. Always mess and stocking carts all in the isles and took out the clothes. Use to go for everything I could but now I avoid it because it is so annoying!

Taylor was working today and did not keep 6 feet from myself and my child. She was aggressive and terribly rude. Unacceptable. I had to shout for assistance and she treated me like I was an inconvenience.

Decent selection of products that are easy to locate. Staff is very friendly. Parking is never a problem.
