This store is never open. I don’t know how they have business. I wouldn’t ever go if it wasn’t so close to my home. Every time I go they’re closed. I would advise everyone to go to the Dollar General on Old Mountain Rd. You won’t waste your time or gas. Plus, it’s much cleaner and the employees are much more friendly! I will definitely not return to this store!

Horrible experience. The store is filthy from the parking lot to the inside of the store. They definitely do not enforce the mask rule. The personnel didn’t even wear their masks properly. The wait time in the line was ridiculous for all the staff they had on site. The personnel working there had awful customer service. The Dollar General on HWY 47 is amazing compared to this site. Definitely will not be returning.

I love Dollar General! They usually have what you need at great prices and you don't have to go in the big stores and fight the crowds. Sometimes they don't have things or don't offer things that I use such as sugar-free creamers and drinks in a large variety or at all. Otherwise they would get five stars.

This place is a joke. Sent my wife to get our 1 year old child ibuprofen she was there 2 min before closing, they shut the door in her face and told her closed go somewhere else. Then the gentleman that works there said if your child is so sick maybe you should have been here before closing time. Service is very rude. Inventory everywhere to the point you can’t get to the stuff you need. One register open and employees walking around with the line of 15 or more people. I understand the shortage of help but this is beyond that. This store needs some help! If you want to get Covid best place for you because it’s never clean!

This store is always dirty. It has the supplies to be put out in the middle of the floor and you can't get by. The isles are to small to walk down. The employees are rude. The parking is Awful. And they really need some outside lights. The parking lot is to dark at night. They also have had expired food on the shelf. I only go into the store to shop for my mother. I will go to another dollar general from now on!

The employees are very helpful and friendly.They treat you like family and call me by my name.I also have a service animal named Snoop Doggy.They also always greet Snoopy and this means a lot to me and to Snoopy.I appreciate each and every employee working for General Dollar, they truly go above and beyond to help and to assist their customers.Thank-you very much for such an amazing and awesome job.You all are always so nice to see and we love 💘 shopping with you all at General Dollar.Please have a blessed and a safe day,Your loyal friends always Mrs.Rita Evans said Snoopy Evans.

Dollar General on highway eight has the worst service i have ever experienced in my life, also having boxes of so called clearance items marked down 50% off but when you get to the register to pay everything wasn't on clearance anymore, some of the merchandise was even marked up from what was wrote down on the packages. Example: a package of hairbows was marked down to $2.75 and remember everything inside these boxes was suppose to be 50 % off but when rang up the hair bows were $3.75. Also the 4 employees working and yes four, only two of them were workers there.... started rushing me to get out of the store at 930 they don't close until 10. I will not be taking my business there anymore even tho I live right down the street and will be making a point to stop everyone else from going there until something is done. I paid for a service that I was denied, and I'm not happy about it.

On most days there is nothing but friendly people, however today they had an older woman who didn't want to be there and her attitude showed it. I'm sure DG lost lot of money with her not paying any attention to the register. Need a more outgoing employee with a great attitude and personality.

To a tee what I've read.. I wouldn't even give a 1/3 of a star if I didn't have to. I went 3 days in a row and they were open from 5pm to 10pm and it's really to 9:55pm 🤬🤬🤬

Very friendly but the store is always over filled with merchandise they are putting up every single time I go in and it makes it hard to get to everything and make you're way threw the store . I work retail too so I understand but I mean it's like that every single time I go in .

Dollar General used to be a great store on hwy 8 but it is going down hill, now that all the original people are gone like Barbara who was mgr the place was clean never a long line even if only 1 was running the register bc there were more than 1 person running the store trying to do it all now the mgr that's there has only 1 person trying to do everything for the busiest hrs so there is ALWAYS a long line & the coolers are still not working in several weeks now.. BRING BARBARA BACK!!!!;

Worst service. Rude. Slow. Mean spirited. I am surprised the store just a couple miles down the road hasn't shut you down. I found three mistakes where the price was marked lower than it rang up just today. Isn't that technically theft.

Idont know why you would make a post of tell others wyh you hate this place.that was a mistake on your part. I love our store in meat camp.its handy as a shirt pocket.Its got all the essentials that i need to keep me out of boone.I just wish they kept gas.

Worst Dollar General I've ever been in stuff never put on the Shelf Isles packed full of stuff where you can't walk. There's never anyone to help you find anything . the lines always backed up to the back of the store because it's only one register open at a time!!!

I like this place because the prices are good. They have a little bit of everything which is good because it's right high rock lake and good place to go to get what you need. If yoh are out on the lake and don't want to go far.
