I was a new customer with a sick cat and they were diligent with her and quick getting me in. Great experience start to finish. My 5 y/o cat Morticia needed some big dental TLC and that’s what she got. All employees I encountered were friendly, helpful and compassionate. I stayed updated and reassured throughout the process. Morty left happy and healed, so I’ll be back with all my fur babies in the future!

Absolutely love Dr Eads and his staff! I used the pet spa for the first time a couple months ago with my new baby Charlie (Pug). They do amazing work! With monthly appointments the shedding has been reduced at least by 80%. Charlie looks like a perfect little teddy bear, clean, soft, shiny, and nails done perfectly. Thank you all so much!

I cannot recommend Shallowford enough. Their groomers are phenomenal and always follow my requests for my dog's haircut to a T. I will never take my baby anywhere else! If you're looking for an excellent groomer, this is the place to go!

There are not enough nice things to say about Dr. Kris Eads. His love and compassion for the pets he sees daily. He takes time to explain and share possibilities for your pet when they are sick. He also gives them extra attention even if it is a wellness check.He is defnitely one of the finest vets and people we know.

We have been taking our cocker spaniel for grooming here for the last 2 1/2 years, he is now battling cancer and we wanted one last groom. The office staff and groomers went above to make sure he was taken care of. I will forever recommend the pet spa.

We just moved here from Charleston and needed a new vet. when all the other ones were booked, or not accepting new clients they had the availability to go on ahead and schedule both our babies for their appointments! Great staff, they will walk you through literally everything you need to keep your furbabies happy and healthy! Dr. Eads was very informative and helpful when it came to advising what vaccines we needed to ensure longevity of our babies ❤️💪 very appreciative of the staff today YOU GUYS ROCK! And I can say now and forever we have found our new vet 🔥💪 highly recommend if you’re new to the area or in need of a new vet! 😎 my babies have come home and are resting all nice and snug in their beds and they say thank you to everyone as well ❤️

Absolutely love Dr Eads and his staff! He is very thorough and patient with his clients. Extremely knowledgeable and walks you through any questions or issues you may have. He gets down on the animals level to make them comfortable. His staff are always lovely also. One tech by the name of Stormy, is very helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and has a special kind of love for all fur babies. We trust them with all of our fur babies needs. We recently moved from TN to NC and chose them to care for our pets. We also adopted a kitten from them and she’s been the best!! Our doodles are set up for grooming soon also. I’m sure we won’t be disappointed there either. Will update Once we have that appt. You won’t be disappointed going to Shallowford Animal Hospital! Dr. Eads and Dr. Gillis take care of our 2 new male Maltese pups' medical needs with the best of full service veterinary diagnosis and prescribed care. Our 2 previous female Maltese lived to 16 years each with great care from Dr. Eads. Our 2 new pups also have excellent (award winning in our opinion) SPA GROOMING at Shallowford Animal Hospital by Ms. Sheila and Ms. Samantha. We highly recommend all to utilize these 2 excellent professional groomers...THE BEST in SHOW! Let the staff take care of your boys and girls and peace of mind while grooming and/or day boarding.

Boarded PUPPY here - after one day, she had diarrhea. Without making me aware of her stress, several hundred dollars worth of tests and medications were ordered. Office manager was incredibly rude and very unprofessional - tried to lie about speaking with me and me being rude and disconnecting call but I had never, not once, spoke with her. No money would be accepted for any of the services rendered AT ALL unless the unwanted procedures and medications were paid for as well - then it was turned over for collections. This puppy had also been seen several times for her regular care and vaccinations in the few weeks prior to being boarded. Would absolutely avoid at all costs. They nickel and dime you down to the penny!Updated after reading the other 1 star reviews- very common denominator with them. And the responses by them further proves the point.

I have had a lot of animals and have seen a lot of veterinarians. Dr. Eads and this hospital staff rank on top of my list, which goes back decades. He saved one of my dogs (Daisy Mae) from Parvo and continues to treat and help manage her development four years later. Another, a twelve year old beagle when he began treating him, remains plodding along in his 14th year. I know that there are many fine veterinarians around here, but the combination of this vet, this staff and this facility make Shallowford the best I have ever seen.

I met Dr. Eads over 14 years over when he worked as a Vet in Wilkesboro. He took care of my Cocker Spaniel, Bailey, until she passed away in 2011, not long before he left the Wilkesboro office. Before he left, he took care of my Pete-a- poo, Poppy. I was devastated when I found out he was leaving and had his new office not been an hour from my house, I would have followed him to Lewisville.Now fast forward to 2023. Poppy has developed a Level-5 heart murmur, and at the office where I normally take her, you do not always get to see the same Vet. You also cannot make an appointment. I was concerned about her care, so I contacted Dr. Eads for a 2nd opinion, and Poppy was in his office the next day. Her meds have been changed and she is doing well. She still has her heart murmur, but I know that when she needs to see a doctor, she will be able to see the same doctor each time, just like I do. Dr. Eads is giving Poppy the same loving care that he gave to Bailey, and I will always be thankful for that. I guess if I can drive to Winston-Salem to see my Gastroenterologist, I can drive to Lewisville to take my furbaby to the most caring Veterinarian that I have ever dealt with in my 70 years on Earth.***Also, his staff members are great!

The staff which greeted Patch and I were friendly and clearly love animals. This was our first visit and the first thing Dr. Eads did was sit on the floor and take time so Patch could sniff him and get comfortable. His focus was on my pup to be sure. He explained every recommendation. I am totally at ease with this great team treating my beloved pup.

Ms Sheila and her team are the best dog groomers on the planet! Her team can work wonders with a wiggly puppy and another one of our pups with anxiety issues. If you want a doctor for your fur baby who will treat it like one of their own, this is the place for you. He sat down in the floor and let my dog get comfortable with him before he examined him. My dog has white coat phobia. He can tell a vet or vet tech from a mile a way. The doctor spent lots of time answering my questions. We were able to get his exam, blood draw and shots and my dog left happy. The front desk staff was efficient and very friendly. I recommend Shallowford Animal Hospital!

We have 2 male Maltese, 2.5 yrs and 5 months. Today’s grooming is perfect and the boys are superbly cute with their Asian Fusion cuts. Ms. Sheila is the dog whisperer and artist of LVL. She was able to calm a wiggly puppy, changing both into transformed beautiful young dogs. We didn’t know the fur-ball puppy had legs. Exceptionally pleased.
