Well... I must say not all hot dawgs are created equal...lol... Come with a big appetite cause these are huge ... The Arizona dog is awesome. The staff is very friendly and explained the menu and made recommendations.It was all good, the food, the oldies playing on the radio, and the friendly staff...If you're in Lenoir, just stop in for a Shake N Dog...

We thought we would stop in for the $1 Tuesdays.I had almost given up on looking for a non generic hotdog it seemed like everywhere I went it was the same plain all the way with tasteless slaw and bland chili. This place exceeded my expectations with every item we ordered! My wife and I both got a dollar all the way with chili, mustard, onion and slaw and they were fantastic! I had a Memphis with bacon, bbq sauce, and cheddar cheese and a Jamaican with mayo, jerk sauce, lettuce, mango, lettuce, and jalapenos (my outside the box order) they were both packed full of flavor but nothing was overpowering it was all fantastic. My wife had a hot hot hotdog with french onions, hot sauce and slaw and she loved it! We ended our tues-date with a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream, I'm not an ice cream guy but you gotta try it some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time!

As the name implies milk shakes and hot dogs are made to order. The shakes are thick and smooth with a small scoop of ice cream on top. Each milkshake comes with a straw and a spoon. Taste great! Kids are very happy and car ride is quiet😉. This is a yesteryear type shop and you should definitely give it a try!

Tuesdays are not complete unless you've stopped by this quaint little restaurant. On Tuesdays hot dogs are only a dollar. 4 hotdogs with chili slaw mustard and onion later, I was the happiest person in town and stuffed! This deal is too good to be believed! Eat here often but Tuesdays are definitely special.

If you want a great place to find homemade milkshakes, great hotdogs, and so much more then this is the place for you. Experience hometown Main Street ice cream shop and hotdogs and just relax. The staff is friendly and competent and always ready to help. My favorite place on Main Street.

We must have hit this place on a bad day. All of the reviews are so good.I got a chili dog with nacho cheese on it. The bread was hard as a rock.I scraped the chili and cheese off and asked for a for a fork. In all fairness I did not ask for it to get fixed. The kid taking our order was very timid and I hate causing a problem for what has to be new staff. The one person I saw working that seemed to know what she was doing went on break before I got my food and knew there was a problem.Maybe we’ll try it again on our way back through town.

Make sure to ask what all is available and NEVER order online. Food is decent but the fools can't even update doordash when they are missing 1/3 of their menu.AVOID AND JUST GO TO SONIC. Places like this are why small shops can't succeed. Absolute incompetent employees and it's a hotdog place lol. What a total waste of time

Had a lovely dinner here with the family. Chicago dog was on point, Philly cheesesteak was generously filled and flavorful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great meal. Crinkle cut fries were cooked perfectly! Enjoyed the retro vibe and music with our meal, too.Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. Menu options were plentiful and they gave us coloring pages and crayons while we waited for our food.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating at the Granite Falls location. My family ordered 2 specialty dogs, a BLT 2 corn dogs and a Club and all of which were spectacular. The fries were perfect. Will be coming back.Kid-friendliness: The staff and seating is very accommodating for children.

Super little local gem for an affordable bite to eat. They serve hot dogs, brats, Italian Sausage, milkshakes, sandwiches, soups, & salads.We dropped by today, Tues, Mar 19, 2019, for $1 hotdogs (every Tues). Simply put, they were delicious. They don't offer grilled or English style hotdog buns, which I prefer, but their steamed buns were fresh & pillowly soft. They don't skimp on toppings either. My favorites are mustard, chili, & slaw and these folks know the correct order when assembling the dogs (slaw goes on the top). We arrived right at 13:00 (1 p.m.) and they were busy, but the 10-12 minute wait was worth it. Seems to be a popular place for locals who live and work nearby. You should definitely give 'em a try. Recommended!

We got the cheaper hotdogs that are $1 on Tuesday. Slaw, onions, mustard. The slaw was good. Next time we will try the larger, all beef hotdog. Got the Rocky Road ice cream and it was delicious. Tony’s Brand.

It's great to find a unique spot that is locally owned for lunch. Owner is friendly and has a great story on why he decided to open a hotdog and shake shop. Staff is friendly! Most importantly the food in delicious! I've tried almost every specialty dog on the menu and the do not disappoint. My favorite is the Chicago Dog with the Space Dog be a close second. It worth the short drive of 321 to drive into downtown Lenoir to give this place a try. Skip the corporate fast food and go to The Shake-N-Dog!

It would be easier to list what they have as opposed to what they are out of.When you order a food item specifically for one thing only to be told 7 minutes later they are out of that item, why order in the first place? Maybe it's good food, when they have it in stock. I would avoid till they figure out how to restock.Update: ordered food and it took 20 minutes to get a hotdog. Order was still wrong. They were not at all busy.When I i finally got my french fries, they were colder than the falling rain in February.I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in a very long time.

The employees weren't so busy they couldn't attend to cleaning up. Also a female employee came out of restroom just before my wife went in .also I failed to mention in the first post that the trash can in the dining area was running over into the floor. Had to ask for napkins because the dispensers were empty, no onions for hotdogs so no matter the excuse about selling under cost or selling 1000 a day the employees could still empty the trash and sweep the floor.

My first time here was the other day and it was absolutely delicious! I got a danger dog (YUMMM) Salted Caramel Milkshakes my friend got a steak n cheese. It was very good the hot dogs are bomb and our food came out super fast. Its a nice atmosphere the staff are wonderful!! very friendly. I Cannot wait to go back again. Highly recommend 5 stars!!

We love this place. It's more than just a hot dog... with all the specialty toppings they have, you'll have a new appreciation for the simple hot dog! It tastes great. My favorite is the BBQ dog. The staff is kind and the owner is friendly. Tuesdays are $1 dog days but we live in Morganton and don't get there on that day much.We love to go when Tybrisa book store is open and go to book SHake-n-Dog and the bookstore... our kids enjoy this simple outing.

We used to go all the time. Unfortunately, something has changed.The staff now looks sloppy, no uniforms, no hairnets.Yes some wear hats not all do, perhaps during our multiple visits we have had hair in our hotdogs including this past weekend my brother had hair on his. (Gave us an excuse hair can come in already on the product.) Saw staff wipe their hands on jeans instead of washing and drying them.Staff member was observed touching his face running his hand through his hair then proceeded to make a milkshake. No hand washing after doing so.If you watch you’ll see what we see.The food is good. Hopefully, things will/can change.

Best Hotdog I’ve Ever Ate..Hands down! Me and my wife stopped by and ate for the first time today excellent staff and service I’m pretty sure family owned and ran,We ate a single dog with allot of toppings that shockingly were all free “some aren’t but more free then I’ve ever seen” which makes this place ridiculously affordable. My goal in life is to own a restaurant and this my friends is exactly what you want in one. Absolutely outstanding guys!! Thank you!

Bro $30 for two flavorless hotdogs and two cokes, I was confused at first that my Cashier didnt ask what we wanted to drink but what really set me off when we had our hotdogs AND THEN MY GIRLFRIEND WAS CHARGED US FOR OUR COKES AFTER THE COMBO CLEARLY SAID FRIES AND DRINK!!!! I probably should mention that I was so baffled by the shere robbery of this place i forgot to grab our two bags of chips seeing as how fries where not existing just as our drinks.... heard good things and was SEVERELY LET DOWN.
