My experience with Dr. de la Cerda and Dr. Whisnant was beyond exceptional. I cannot praise them highly enough for the level of care they provided to me.A cat emergency brought me to the clinic last Tuesday morning. The intake process was quick. Dr. de la Cerda took the time to inform me of proper protocol as well as to calm my anxiety over the situation. All the people I encountered over a two-day period were very helpful and kind. In addition to answering all my questions, they discussed my options and the price points associated with them, and I feel as though I could not have picked a better facility for my needs. The prices they charged are more than fair, especially compared to an emergency vet clinic.The entire staff deserves a huge, big thank you for their hard work last week. I'm so grateful for them! :)

great vet. very helpful with planning out my 3 dogs needs.have since had one dog spayed... the experience was good, the cost inflated due to non private practice. we need to be focused on our animals, not shareholders. 5 star service. but let's make animals first... not profit.

From our first visit here, everyone has been wonderful! They have always worked us in when our bully has needed an emergency appointment. It is such a great feeling when your dog is happy and gets excited in the car on the way to the vet. All the staff are amazing and love our sweet Cleo as much as we do!

my review won't justify just how amazing this clinic is. they are attentive awesome kind honest & extremely knowledgeable & truly care about each paw🐾 that comes thru this clinic.. I would not hesitate to refer this clinic to anyone.. all paws up to this clinic.. Love each and every one of them.. they are my family to me and my furry kiddos..

On December 4th 2023 my husband accidentally ran over our Australian Shepherd Maggie. She could not stand up or move one side of her body. That morning there was a really heavy frost. As he was leaving for work Maggie ran toward his truck. She couldn'tget stopped because of the frost. Maggie had been a patient at Caldwell Animal Hospital sine she was 6 weeks old. She was getting ready to turn 5. My husband and his coworker took her straight to Caldwell Animal Hospital. He went inside while his coworker held Maggie in his lap. He went to front desk explained that it was an emergency. And what had happened. The girl at the desk asked if he had an appointment. Of course he didn't have an appointment. It was 8 in the morning. It's not like he planned to run over our dog. They turned away a dog that had been their patient all of her life. A dog with her back broken. My husband took her to Lenoir Vet. They came out with a stretcher to get her. They were very professional. Considerate and understood an emergency. Unfortunately we had to put Maggie down. Surgery would have cost between $8 and $10 thousand dollars. We came prepared for $2 to $4 thousand. And there was no guarantee the surgery would allow her to walk again. We just couldn't spend that much.The bottom line is I will never go back to Caldwell Animal Hospital. That was horrible treatment for any animal. I'm sure they could have squeezed her in. As a pet owner if I had an appointment, and saw Maggie's situation, I would been happy to let her be squeezed in before me.So finished with Caldwell. They have been the vet for our last 3 pets. Never again.Update on my review. I did change it from 1 star to 3 stars. After my review they did call me and apologized for what happened that day. I did appreciate that they made the effort to speak to me personally and apologize. They had one doctor out sick, leaving them with only one doctor. They agreed that they dropped the ball that day and could have done better with the situation.

My dog, a pittbull, loves going to the vet. He can't wait for the attendant to take him to the back, even for shots, so he can see everyone. Great to know he's so comfortable with everyone.

We’ve been coming to you for almost 20 years. You’ve always taken care of our pets needs. When we pull up Logan gets excited and wants to run in. I always look to him to know if a place is good or bad. Logan gives you one paw up!

Very nice place, but the male doctor hurt my 87 yrs young Mom's feelings when he told her that her 10 yr old dog was an "orthopedic nightmare"! This may be true, but his delivery was too abrupt. However, I know he's a caring veterinarian, bc he didn't want the dog to be in any pain, and increased pain meds. I would recommend this office to anyone in the area seeking good veterinary care.🐾👍

I hate to go against the grain but my experience was totally different. I had a cat that was 17 years old and he went down quickly. I called to let them know I would be bringing him in to be put to sleep as soon as I could get a ride as my car was in the shop. All the person I talked to was concerned with is that she got her lunch at noon - not the cat she could here meowing in pain (it wasn't a normal meow but deeper and longer). Since I was having to get a cab and with my car in the shop I had to go to the closest animal hospital, which was this one. If I was in my car I would have gone somewhere else. Instead since my ride didn't arrive by 11:45 I had to wait until they opened back up at 2:00 p.m. and by that time my cat had passed - in pain. So just beware these people are more concerned with money and making sure they eat on time.Every time I have visited this place I have found the staff unfeeling. That is why after my first two or three visits I stopped making this place my first go to for pet care to my last place to go to for pet care.

I scheduled an appt for my sick dog on a Friday. Test were done and medication was given. My dog seemed better for a few days then became sick again on Tuesday. I called back with some questions about the test that were performed and what I needed to do next. I was told vet would call me back that day to answer questions and give instructions. It is 6pm Wed. with no call back. I am very thankful it was only a minor issue with my dog and not a life or death situation. With no call back I could have been waiting by the phone for a call from the vet instead of doing what was needed to save my pet. I had no complaints about services received up to the point that I did not get a call back when I was very concerned about my pets health.

Very bad service my dog was dying they scheduled me a appointment for the next day but it died that night at 10:00 in my lap so I would recommend go right then and leave it they cannot deny you

When my chihuahua was having a bit of a medical emergency they were able to get me in very quickly, the same day. The vet was incredible. She was very compassionate and very thorough and got my little man taken care of quickly. I'm very grateful for the vets and staff for treating my dog. Would highly recommend this vet for routine care as well as emergencies.

Our sweet Jake was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. All of the vets that have seen him here have been wonderful and we especially appreciate Dr Hatchard walking us through this treatment process. We have always been pleased with the service our dogs get here. Dr. Rivero, Dr. Whisnant and Dr. Kiri de la Cerda (Dr. D.) have taken excellent care of our dogs. They listen to what is being said to them and they also explain what their findings are.
