Lovely place for truly relaxing experience. They offer well-appointed, very clean rooms. The bed in our room is very comfortable. The large bathroom has a stand-up shower and a clawfoot tub with a view. The entire lodge is so well maintained, and they have done an excellent job in turning this old historic lodge into a well-oiled newer version of itself without sacrificing its old charm. The views are beautiful of Lake Lure from everywhere. Easy access to town, restaurants, and stores.Staff is very helpful and friendly. This place is just right and a keeper for us.

We had an amazing stay at The Lodge on Lake Lure! The breathtaking views, impeccably clean rooms with super white and fresh-smelling sheets, and an incredibly comfortable bed made our experience memorable. Amanda's warmth and friendliness added a personal touch, and the delicious dinner at the restaurant left us impressed. The entire staff's niceness and friendliness enhanced our stay. We're definitely planning to return!

We absolutely loved staying at the Lodge on Lake Lure. It was the perfect blend of cozy, romantic, and rustic. We enjoyed a lakefront room with a fireplace that was so nice! The bed was very comfortable! The dining room provided a delicious dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy during our visit, so we did not get to go down to the Lake to enjoy that. Oh well, I guess we will have to come back!!!

We booked here for a mini romantic getaway with just my husband and I! We stayed in room 16 and absolutely adored it and then loved it so much. We stayed an additional night and moved to room 12 which was even more stunning! The bathtubs are to die for! The atmosphere is so cozy and makes you feel at home. It's so peaceful and just stunning place to be! I'm dreaming of our next stay! This will be our romantic getaway spot here forward. Cleanliness 10 out of 5 stars!!

Visited in late August with my wife for our anniversary - in town from Oahu, HI - it was absolutely one of our favorite stays! The rooms were comfortable, the grounds immaculate, and the restaurant was delightful! We kayaked, drank wine, read books - just a wonderful stay, and we will be back when we can!

My wife and I have stayed several times at the affiliated Inn on Amelia Island (Amelia Schoolhouse Inn) and had been anxious to try this place since they opened. We were not disappointed. Walking in, we were warmly welcomed by Stephanie, a familiar and friendly face from the Schoolhouse. She whisked us in and made us feel right at home. The accommodations were spacious, warm and clean. The view was absolutely spectacular from our room, taking in both Lake Lure and the mountains. As we made our way around, we saw another friendly face in Amanda, another Schoolhouse asset Spencer has brought over. We dined both nights at the Inn's restaurant, the Appalachia, and the food, drink and service did not disappoint. It was very high quality and we thought reasonably priced, a great value. The area is so peaceful and beautiful, this is a must try destination. When you go, be sure to take a cruise on the lake and get a real history lesson on the area. If you are looking for peace and quiet and overall relaxing getaway, this is a must visit location. We'll be back.

My wife and I spent one night at the Lodge for a quick anniversary getaway trip! We had a fantastic experience. Our room was very clean, updated and comfortable. We had a great dinner at the Appalachia. The service was great! My wife is pregnant and the waitress made her a delicious mocktail. Amanda was very nice and helpful. She showed us to our room and was available if we had any questions! We would definitely stay here again!

Last month, we traveled with another couple and had the best time! The rooms on the bottom floor looking over the lake had great views. We rode the daily evening boat cruise and had a tons of local information shared that we had never heard before. Most importantly, we ate dinner in the Appalachia Restaurant. Having the best place to eat in Lake Lure steps away from your room was great. We enjoyed the best dishes. The food is phenomenal. I am still thinking about the pork chop with succotash.Food & drinks: The food and drinks at the restaurant inside the Lodge is a must. You have to go all out. You need to get appetizers, entrees, and desert. To top it off, the craft cocktails are delicious too.

Can't say enough good things about this Lodge, from its history to its new beginning absolutely the best place on the lake. AND if that wasn't enough, the inn keeper Stephanie is outstanding. Rooms, atmosphere, location...top notch. We have now visited both locations for this hotel, the school house in Florida and here in NC, I'd have no hesitation staying at either for a short stay or an extended getaway.

We will be back! We absolutely loved the location, the room, the food!!!! Peaceful and quiet as we had hoped for. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only comment is that staff in restaurant could use some more training. We had very good service the first night, but disappointing the second. Food was amazing..... we all but licked our plates! We hear there are still more improvements being made that we look forward to taking advantage next visit. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Everything about this place screams romantic getaway!! From the beautiful windy roads in to the rustic log cabin vibes inside. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, the restaurant was fantastic. Food was fresh and local. Plus, we were surprised at how delicious all of the signature cocktails were :) the comfy bed, was the icing on top! Breathtaking view of the Lake overlooking beautiful mountainsides! Pack your bags and go :)

Stayed here on our 10th wedding anniversary. Started off by being greeted by the neighborhood Black Bear Oscar in the parking lot. The lodge is beautiful and we found it romantic, relaxing and fun. Excellent food in the restaurant and a cozy bar.

What a great anniversary . Stephanie took great care of us with the perfect room , and dinner was great . We both had the pasta , my wife had a salad and loved it , I really liked the bread as well . We stopped by the boathouse bar and had a beer with Logan , talk about a cool place , it doesn't get any better . This will be a special occasion kind of place , but also a regular stop as well , thank goodness it's a short drive for us , we'll definitely be back soon .

The Lodge on Lake Lure is a secluded paradise that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its pristine surroundings, impeccable cleanliness, and thoughtfully curated themes that added an extra touch of charm.During our stay, we had the pleasure of staying in Room 17, the Lake View King Room. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a sense of comfort and relaxation. The room was tastefully decorated, and the plush king-sized bed provided a restful night's sleep. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the lake was a true treat for the senses. The attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort at The Lodge on Lake Lure were evident throughout our stay. The secluded atmosphere allowed us to unwind and disconnect from the outside world, providing a much-needed respite. It truly felt like a hidden gem, tucked away in nature's embrace. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat that combines comfort, cleanliness, and captivating themes, The Lodge on Lake Lure is the perfect destination. Whether you're relaxing in the Lake View King Room or exploring the serene surroundings, this lodge offers a memorable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Wow! Wow! Wow! An absolutely stunning property, the views don’t disappoint. Incredible food at the on-site restaurant, Appalachia, the Chef’s creations so tasty I savored each and every bite short of licking the plate. Super friendly staff, shout out to Sydney for the hospitality. This oasis looks to be a hidden gem, a tranquil place to relax. A road trip away from various cities like Asheville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Jacksonville etc. makes for an easy getaway. Having frequented their other property, Amelia Schoolhouse Inn on Amelia Island FL, I’m delighted to say both properties are among my favorite places visited.

Very smart move to re-vamp their menu! The food is much better prepared and better thought out. The only negative is some staff issues. The "hostess" (who was our waitress one night) was totally unaware of the menu. Every question we had about the menu, she had to walk back to the kitchen and ask. All the staff should be knowledgeable about the menu and should never say that a special was a "leftover" from the night before. That being said, we look forward to eating there again.

The lodge was pretty (old/rustic). The staff was friendly. The view was beautiful. Prices were too high. The disappointing part of our stay was the continental breakfast. The breakfast consisted of cereals, breads/muffins/bagels, juice and coffee. Hotels that cost half the price have hot food of some sort (eggs, biscuits/gravy, etc.). Also could not find a disposable coffee cup or bowl so we could take our drinks and get on the road.

This is a hidden gem! Whether you're rooming here or eating their amazing food, this is a MUST try! The view is breathtaking, and the creme brulee is out of this world!! Veronica, the bartender, is a breath of fresh air as a knowledgeable bartender who clearly loves her job! Thank you, Veronica, for an amazing experience and thank you to the chef!

I loved absolutely everything about this place. My husband booked a night here for my birthday, and every single member of the staff went above and beyond to make it special. Every single detail was perfection, the room was gorgeous, and the bed was SO comfortable.I began the evening with a glass of bubbly on the deck with an awesome charcuterie plate. I ended the night in that big, gorgeous bathtub with all the windows open listening to nature. It truly doesn't get better.
