If you’re in the Lake Lure area it’s hard to beat this local restaurant when it comes to convenience. Perhaps some other menu items are the star of the show, but it was mostly American fare that wasn’t anything to write home about. Portions felt kinda small considering the price. The staff was kind, and the views of the lake were great, just wish I would’ve tried another option. Meatloaf sandwich was tasty, but I feel the regular meatloaf entree would have been the move. Maybe next time I’m in lake lure I will get to try again, I’m sure Lake House will still be here :)

I went there for the view and the description on their website.Visited on December 29, 2023 for lunch with my family.My drink was served in a very sticky glass, and my husband glass was very broken. I couldn’t believe they used that very broken glass to serve a customer.Employee set my family very close to a another family with a kid walking around when the place was almost empty.Food were nothing impressive, but regarding food everyone has different taste.I really didn’t like the atmosphere of the place, maybe I put much expectation.Handicap parking get blocked by others cars, very uncomfortable to park and block others.

A very good place located between Chimney Rock Village and Charlotte, specifically Lake LureThere’s no picture of the food because we were super hungry but I guarantee you that it was OUTSTANDING the Western and Harvest Burgers simply delicious, onion rings and fries another level, kids food it was so good that they ate everything (Salmon, Burger and chicken tenders), fish and fries, shrimp and fries and a Mediterranean Salmon was good (we were a party of 9)Cold beers enjoying this beautiful location and viewsFor me 100% recommended

We were there first day of 2024 and it was amazing. The restaurant was clean, the lady who sat us down was polite, the servant Natalya was amazing, clean and beautiful lady, very polite and smiling, the food was nice but typical, well presented and tasty! The price was also affordable but I should mention the amazing view to the lake! It was a nice gift for the first day of the new year.PS we came from Greer and it was little more than an hour from our house.

Want lunch or dinner with atmosphere? Then head to the Lake House Restaurant Bar & Grill at Lake Lure. The Lake House Restaurant Bar & Grill is situated on a small cove with lovely views of the large Lake Lure in Lake Lure North Carolina off The Blue Ridge Parkway. On this glorious fall day in October, lunch on the deck was the perfect recipe for a growling stomach. The food was satisfying and the service was outstanding. I believe we were told that this is the only restaurant directly on Lake Lure itself, as structures are now limited to private homes our lake guide also told us that upwards of 90% of those are not occupied year-round.Bottom Line? Yes! Day or night, but especially on a clear day for lunch.Kid-friendliness: This rustic and very casual restaurant is the ideal place for kids.

Wonderful food, excellent server, beautiful outdoor area. Our family ate here on Sunday afternoon and the food was exceptional. I really loved the seasonal dressing, ginger herb apple vinaigrette! It was out of this world, and they make it on site fresh! Our server had an accent, not sure of her name but she was excellent. Our drinks were never less than half full, and she was knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed eating here and defiantly will come back next trip!Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the menu options! Salmon is our daughters favorite and it was available for her!

This was my first visit to this restaurant since 2012, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious and offered a unique selection of dishes not commonly found elsewhere. The tranquil and serene lake view provided a relaxing atmosphere. My only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the wireless connectivity, as the area seems to be a dead zone for Verizon.

The views from the Lake House restaurant are beautiful. It's really great if you get seated next to the window overlooking Lake Lure. We asked for and got a table like this. The service was very good. Our server was great and didn't rush us. One of my big pet peeves is being rushed to order. However, the food was disappointing. Neither of us were impressed with it. I got the Oven Broiled Seafood Combo. It was just ok. There were only a few, like three or four shrimp, and they weren't jumbo. Same for the scallops. The fish was also just ok. All were very plain with no seasoning. The person I was with got Fish and Fries. The fish was supposed to be lightly breaded, but was instead heavily breaded and overcooked. Same with the fries. This restaurant could be awesome, but the food was just not that good, average at best.

We arrived before opening and a line soon formed, but once inside it was quite chaotic to say the least. It was a few minutes before we were seated and enjoyed the view. We were disappointed the upstairs was only open for dinner. We ordered wine and our lunch soon after. My husband enjoyed his burger, while my chicken sandwich was just ok. Fries were great, both sweet potato and french. Would I go back, I'm not sure. Give it a try, the wine was good!

The outside patio overlooks a beautiful and calm lake which heightens the experience. My favorite items were the apples and scallops and a huge prime rib. The mashed potatoes on the side were topped with everything that as a loaded baked potato. As far as the service, goes my server Brett F did what I asked of him for the food ordering which for me was letting him order all the food without asking questions because that’s what I asked of him. If Brett is your server just trust the process and let him order. Also, his friendly interactions were life changing me :) 🔥

This has been a restaurant we have tried to get in but we always would miss the opportunity by getting there late or the wait would be too long! Tonight we came as a party of 3, only one other table was being served when we were seated. The server Yulia was friendly hospitable and very attentive! DELIGHTFUL! We ordered the Fish of the Day whitefish that Swai and it was absolutely delicious! When we heard the other table asking about desert my ears perked up when I heard apple pie and they said they just made it! It was absolutely everything we could have dreamed of…now I left and I realized that I left a condiment behind that I use and after fishing through the garbage with Destiny, Yulia came over to assist while we were going through this discarded junk…I told them to give up as they affirmed they had gone through the stack of discarded foodstuff where this condiment container would have appeared—to only discover that I had it in my pocket the whole time! They probably wanted to kill me they were so beyond helpful and good natured! Thank you, Yulia, Destiny, Kendall, and Liz—it made for an already grest night when the third party was seated next to our table and the last three fables were all from Florida, too! The server was on Treasure Coast and we covered the East and West Coast from Davie to Vero Beach up to Jax-ville! What a fun night to top it off everything was yummy and service impeccable! If you haven’t been you need to try it! Just don’t expect to be disappointed all!

Food was alright. Our server was very scattered. The view (from the basement patio) was the best part by far. I think maybe we'd come back for the view and maybe a drink, but neither entree we had was that great. Neither basement bathrooms were cared for very well and were out of toilet paper/paper towel. Beware the parking is pretty limited and narrow.Vegetarian options: Pretty poor vegetarian options.Parking: Parking lot was slim with limited spaces.

Great local spot that we continue to visit on almost a weekly basis. Typically always spot on with service and food. The waitresses are pretty good about giving a heads up if the kitchen is backed up but they are also great at suggesting appetizers that will come out quick and making sure your drinks stay full until your meals come out. The only minor complain we have had is that you cannot request a specific temperature for burgers. All will come out medium well as per health department instruction. The filet mignon, however, is cooked to order.

Rustic atmosphere with a beautiful view of Lake Lure for lunch or dinner. Our server told us that the Salmon Sandwich and French Dip are their most popular sandwiches. You can order any burger with beef, pork, chicken or veggie. We both ordered Western Burgers which have bacon, Jack cheese, BBQ sauce and an onion ring. She got the chicken version and I tried the vegetarian burger. I’m not vegetarian but am trying them, because, why not? Both were good although mine tasted a bit too much like black beans. Not that I object, or that it was bad. But I recently tried an Impossible Burger and it tasted like beef. Anyway, the fries were breaded which I despise. The Harvest Risotto was ok but lacked butternut squash. All in all, very average. Our server was very helpful though and plenty attentive.

The place has a outside dinning with a great view of Lake Lure. Inside seating has decent views as well. The bar is located downstairs and has a medium selection of crafter beer, wine and spirits. Food is American fair and descent for a touristy spot. Would have given 5 stars, but the downstairs feels dated. The view of the lake was beautiful! Service was fast and everyone was pleasant. The indoor dining was closed when we went but the bar and grill and outdoor seating was available. We were lucky enough to have been sat outside with the beautiful lake view from the picture. The indoor bar was older & very dark. I'm glad we sat outside. The food in the menu was very interesting but when it came out, they were all ok. Not bad, but just ok. We got the scallops & stuffed crab mushrooms for dessert and the house special steak... again everything was just ok. The drinks were not that great. But after a long day of hiking & for the lake view, it was nice.
