Hiked this trail a few hours before the park closed for the night. The trail wasn't difficult to walk. When you get to the end, the waterfall is absolutely gorgeous and serene. My fiance proposed to me here. It was perfect. I recommend this trail yo anyone that visits chimney rock. The views are also fantastic throughout this trail and the entire park.

Beautiful waterfall! One of the highest east of Mississippi. The hike is easy, only 1.5 miles round-trip with tons of trees that provide shade. Once you get to the waterfall, you will admire the massive wall where the water starts to fall. The refreshing pure water gives you a booster after the walk. Really beautiful piece of nature!

This trail leads to the waterfall. Its a beautiful trek. I recommend close toed shoes. Dog friendly but there’s many steps and some rough ground. Not stroller friendly in my opinion.

The hike is good and fairly easy to do. The falls aren't very strong, but still cool to see

During our visit to chimney rock‘s, we enjoyed this short hike to a very tall waterfall. The hike is somewhat short, approximately 1 mile, and it may take you about 25 minutes if you are an avid hiker. The hike is not difficult and it takes you through the woods, which is great in warmer months. it is possible to get in the water, but some areas are restricted.

Whoa! This towering rock face was absolutely gorgeous. Water cascading off the dark rock just left me spellbound. Despite the crowd I was actually able to stand there and just lose myself in the rhythm of falling water.

Had the falls completely to ourselves for a good 40 minutes. With the rain over last couple of days falls was spectacular. Main platform near falls was closed due to the amount of flow, but that was ok. We were able to walk to the pucnic table which gives excellent view. All along the way we had smaller falls to admire.

Chimney Rock Park is a great place to spend a morning or late afternoon. Be mindful of the heat if you plan on hiking. Bring along water and sturdy shoes. The rock and waterfalls are really beautiful. You won't be disappointed

The falls are breathtaking! You can either climb all the way up from Four Seasons Trail entrance by the lower parking lot, or climbing down the steep boardwalk and steps from Hickory Nut Falls Trail access right passing the upper parking lot restrooms. I would suggest you take your hiking poles with you if you choose to climb up from the entrance parking lot since the mountain is pretty high up.Once you are on Hickory Nut Falls Trail, the trail is quite flat and easy. After watching the waterfalls, I climbed down thru Four Seasons Trail from Hickory Nut Falls Trail, and then all the way down to the lower parking lot. It’s quite a serene trail.Hickory Nut Falls are so beautiful that’s very much worth the hard hiking!

Nice hike to a beautiful waterfall. When we were there in late September, many wild flowers were in bloom right along the trail.

The hike to the waterfall is a pleasant and enjoyable experience. However, caution is advised as the terrain near the waterfall can be somewhat slippery. Overall, it’s a wonderful way to unwind and relax during the summer months.

We visited Hickory Nut Falls in Chimney Rock State Park and I was amazed. This waterfall is said to be 404' with a large unhindered drop from the top down into a beautiful pool. There were kids splashing around in the pool at the bottom. Further down, there were several more drops. The hike was a short, moderate walk down a well defined trail. A must see!

We hiked the trail to the falls after going up to Chimney Rock. We took our time there and back with our 6 year old and 4 year old navigating the trail fairly easily.

I am so glad I went to this falls. I was going to leave, glad one of the parking lot attendants told me to go. It took me 45 minutes to hike there, take pictures and back to the top parking lot. It could be longer or shorter depending on your level. Well worth the hike.

Beautiful and worth the hike if you can make it. Unfortunately, not accessible to the mobility challenged.

Nice 10-15 minute hike from the main building at Chimney Rock. I do recommend a hiking stick. It’s easier hiking back down then up if you are a senior citizen. Beautiful falls and clean crisp water. Nice to just chill out once you get there.

Wonderful visit at Chimney Rock State Park. The falls are a must see photography site while at Chimney Rock. The trail is easily navigated for the novice hiker and I’d wager to say it’s less than a mile hike to the falls. Well worth it!!!

An easy, family friendly trail off of Chimney Rock State Park. The trail is wide and well maintained, only nearer the falls does it get rocky and uneven. The waterfall is beautiful.

The hike is nice and requires good physic condition if you decide to do the four season trail which starts from the parking and arrive at the exclamation point through 30 min walk in slope + uphill 500 steps, then moving to the falls is easier (around 100 steps downhill and then easy walk of around 15 min) .After the hike, you deserve go under the water falls. The feeling is amazing .Suggestion: do not go without specific equipments (trial shoes, your head) - we stayed there around 30 minutes, and we could see at least 5 people falling on wet rocks on the way back from water falls. Use some patience and reasonable caution.

The trail wasn’t a bad hike for the family (the young and the old). It’s all in the shade and downhill on the way back.

Fun trail I would rate it easy to moderate. There are a few hills, but nothing major. Short there and back hike and we'll worth it.
