*Please read before booking here*After alot of research, we were so excited to finally have a weekend getaway after more than 4 years. Arbor has so many glowing reviews- a secluded cabin, perfect. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience from the moment of arrival. The communication prior was fabulous. We received detailed emails on what to do and expect. We were told to bring washcloths for makeup to prevent additional cost due staining their linen (understandable). We were also told no undergarments or bathing suits can be worn in the hot tub due to chemical stains (odd, but okay). If there was anything off with the hot tub within 48 hours after checkout, we would be charged an additional $100. We were told someone will be waiting to greet us upon arrival- simply send a text to the number provided approximately 30 minutes out. I sent a text and received one back telling us where to park and which cabin was ours. Stating it will be ready upon arrival. We pull up and see no one. We get out of the car and see no signs saying "check in". I go to call and there is no cell phone reception. We leave and then drive to a spot where we get cell phone service. No answer. We drive back to the cabins. Then I send a text we have arrived. Erika informs me that she sent self check in instructions. I responded that I do not see any self check in. After sitting the car for over 15 minutes, my husbands states someone in is standing the back of the parking lot. The person never comes near the vehicle. I get out and introduce myself and say you must be Erika? She responds with ,"Yes, is there are problem?" I say, "We reserved the Magnolia and waiting on someone to show us the cabin." She then says, "Well sent you check in instructions. I told her I must have misunderstood because the email I received said someone would need to show us the cabin and how everything works. She says " I sent you everything you should need, but if you really need me to come and walk you through I will." This was said very sarcastically, like we were a nuisance. I told her, "No that is okay. I do not want us to bother you. We can figure it out." We walk up the short path to realize our cabin is not secluded at all (see picture attached). It is small homes in a semi circle. The inside was decorated nicely, but the mattress was a much older mattress. There is no actual fireplace, it is a very small wall unit. We walk out to the small patio and realize the hot tub is already on. To some this may be inviting, but to us knowing there is $100 charge for a stain I want to make sure there is no stain before. We notice a short in height privacy wall at the patio, which is great- however the patio is literally facing the parking lot (see picture attached). Keep in mind, the rules are no clothing in the hot tub and my husband is a very tall man. This is not going to work. I walk outside to speak with Erika and again see no one, no signs, nothing. Get into the car again to get cell service. Call the number and again no answer. We drive back to the cabins and are beyond frustrated at this point. Unfortunately, we make the decision to leave. I send Erika a text informing her that I have to call her multiple times with no answer and we have made the decision to leave. We left everything the way she set up. We understand if she wishes to keep the deposit, but would like the rest credited back to our card since we were only there for less than 15 minutes. Her response was "Well that is your choice. The cabin was reserved and there is no money back." She did follow up with "May I ask why?" I told her everything I just typed above. She responded back with "God bless you lady" and I responded back the same. I waited over a month before giving a review in case they reached out to apologize. Still no follow call or email. Beyond dissappointed.

This is one of our favorite places for a weekend get away. The cabins are private, romantic and beautifully decorated (shabby sheek). Erika and Sarah are great hostesses leaving breakfast goodies for their guests. The Private deck and hot tub is WONDERFUL! We just made our 5th visit to the Arbor...and it will not be our last! Such a beautiful, romantic place to visit and they welcome fur babies.Noteworthy details: Very romantic

I love this place! Sarah and Erika were fantastic hosts, looking after all the little details that make your stay special. The cabins are immaculate and charmingly decorated. The hot tubs are a perfect touch, where you can soak your sore muscles after a hike at the beautiful nearby state park. This is a great place for a couples weekend- but I was here as part of a larger group of high school friends and it was great for that too. We each had our own space but could meet up and hang out at the central pavilion. Highly recommended.

We loved staying in the Magnolia cabin for 4 nights. Remarkably pest free given being in the woods. Hot tub was wonderful. I can't find any complaints. Do keep in mind, they put in a lot of effort and only expect you to read their write up on expectations. Given how much effort they put in, this is understandable and was great for us.The jam, bread, and eggs were wonderful. Having our two dogs with us allowed us to relax and not worry about them. Thanks again

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Arbor Cabins. Sarah and Erika are wonderful hosts whose attention to detail is remarkable and whose hospitality is unparalleled. I spent three nights in the Tall Oaks cabin which was sparkling clean, extremely comfortable, and fully stocked with everything I needed. The breakfast offerings were delicious and the coffee excellent. The gas fireplace was delightful both for warmth and evening ambience. The common outdoor area is a lovely space to gather in any time of day or evening. Every cabin and the property as a whole was private and quiet. The location is perfectly located for exploring Lake Lure and the surroundings. I look forward to the next time I visit!!

So we went to the Grove Park to celebrate birthdays. When we told our waiter we were from Lake Lure he said he and his wife had stayed in a cabin last January. They utilized the hot tub when it was snowing. Their stay and experience was so awesome they moved up from Fl to live in this area. He could not get over how nice the hostesses were plus being so accommodating. We could not agree more. Just can't get better for a couple's retreat. Try it. Say Hi to Sara and Erika for Daniel, Cheryl and Pat!!!

Sarah was warm and kind. The Hemlock Cottage was private and cozy. It was extremely clean and was stocked with breakfast items and popcorn! It has all the luxuries of "home" away from home. The hot tub was great and in it's very own private room attached to the cottage. Linens and bathrobes were provided as well. The views of Chimney Rock were beautiful from the cottage deck. In the evening the cottage and cabin area's are lit with magical ferry lights projecting through the woods. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for the best!

Lovely space and perfect location close to Lake Lure & Chimney Rock/Chimney Rock Village. Cabins were well sized and very private. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast ingredients are made available in the kitchen as well as basic spices and dishes/cookware. It is only asked that you clean up after cooking (which is quite reasonable). The hot tub on the back deck is very private and was a perfect way to end each day. I highly recommend and we hope to go back again sometime soon.

We absolutely loved our stay! They were so accommodating. The breakfast eggs, fruit, bread and coffee were very good. We really enjoyed our romantic getaway and the cabin had everything we needed.Sarah prepared a special request for my husband. It was a yummy meat/cheese/cracker, nuts and olive tray along with a card for my husband so he would be surprised when we arrived. Our drinks were on ice and ready to go. We will definitely be back. You can tell they really care about their visitors.

My girlfriend and I spent Labor day weekend here. It was an awesome experience. The location is the perfect balance of being close enough to enjoy everything in the area, but secluded enough to give an escape from the crowds in town. Seeing all the other tourists in town packed into tiny hotels, this felt like our own little secret. The cabin was comfortable in every sense of the word with a lot of charm. There were lots of small details that really stuck with us, like local eggs and home made bread in the fridge. Also, the hot tub was amazing after a long day hiking up Chimney Rock.I strongly recommend this for any couple looking to escape together for a few days.

We stayed in "the cottage". It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Not much room to put your stuff away though (you have to live out of a suitcase, so to speak). The décor was interesting to look at (rather eclectic). The hot tub was very nice and private and the waterproof Bluetooth speaker and robes were welcome amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the thermostatic gas heater worked great. On the other hand, the fridge was way small (smaller than dorm size) and the "freezer" was "two tray tiny" - there weren't many ice cubes and certainly no room to store any other than in the tray itself. The views are not bad but not anything you are going to pull your camera out for.All in all, a nice little room at a decent (not great) price.

Arbor Cabins at Lake Lure was the perfect accommodation for our honeymoon. We were greeted, shown to Tall Oaks and made to feel so at home. We had purchased the gourmet taste and wine (which made for awesome picnic food the next day) as well as discounted tickets to Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure Boat Tours, both well worth it. Special features of the cabin included a hot tub, breakfast and the best make-up removal towels - very important for an arriving bride! I would highly recommend Arbor Cabins for any adult get-away. We will most certainly be back for our anniversary.

Amazing place to vacation. Nestled up in the woods with plenty of privacy. Lots of stuff to do around the area including activities, food, shopping. Awesome little mountain markets and gem mines. Fresh caught trout on all the menus. Nice little cabin with private hot tub, surrounded by trees and wild life with a nice mountain view. Grill and fire pit area. Very clean and tidy. Well organized. The owners are phenomenal. They left fresh baked break and farm eggs for breakfast the next morning. We will definitely return for our next leisure trip ❤

The cottage was very cute, the decor was well thought out and we had all the items we needed to be comfortable (basic kitchen utensil, towels, soaps, etc.). The grounds are well kept, the honeysuckle and gardenia were in bloom, so it smelled heavenly. The location was very convenient to chimney rock and either side of lake lure. Just a few minutes from the closet grocery store as well, though the fridge was the smallest mini fridge I have ever seen, so don't stock up at the store too much, or expect to be able to fit Togo boxes in it.My boyfriend got the "romantic extras"...That was supposed to be candles and flower petals. The flower petals were the cheap fabric ones you get at a party store, and the candles were pretty much out of wax, so we didn't get much use out of them, sadly. Would have been nice to have new candles and not empty old ones. The hot tub area was very private, we had to walk around our cottage to get to ours, and they do provide robes, but sadly they did not fit. I had brought a beach cover up thankfully so I wore that. The robes will not fit anyone above a size XL. My boyfriend wears a large and it was VERY small on him, we got a good laugh about that. Also, the hot tubs are quite small as well, a snug 2 seater with shared foot area, kinda heart shaped? I had never seen one that small before. We had a hard time getting it hot enough, despite her telling us it "ran hot" we had it on the highest setting and it never got above 101°.They did project little lights in the trees in the common area, and provide a portable speaker, so sitting outside was very ambient and romantic for us.At the end of our stay I was a little surprised at the list of chores we were sent, for the HIGH cost of staying there, I didn't expect us to have to do so much cleaning before we left. They don't offer daily turn downs or housekeeping, and expect you to clean up everything for them before you go. Not what I am used to at this price point. It was all and all a great experience because of who I was with, and we wish the best to the cottage owners.I would have given more stars if the flower petals had been real, the candles were not almost dead, and if we didn't have to do "chores" on our vacation.Washing dishes by hand, taking out our trash and recycling, and cleaning the room when I pay hundreds a night? I've never experienced that before.

We just got home from our overnight stay. Boy are we sad to be home! This place provides all the charm and comfort of a B&B but with complete privacy. The hot tub is enclosed and completely private. A delicious breakfast is provided. Even if everything else wasn't absolutely perfect we'd come back for the fresh baked goods alone. My husband and I were celebrating our third wedding anniversary and this was the honeymoon we never got to have. We are telling everyone we know to come here and can't wait to come back ourselves! The owners Sarah and Erika really put their all in to going above and beyond for their guests.

We stayed here for a week and if I could rate it higher than five stars I would. Everything about the Arbor Cabins is spectacular! Our host Sarah greeted us answering all of our questions, and offered the best hospitality throughout the week. Checking in with us often to see if we needed anything. The cabin itself was just what we needed. It is cozy, just the right size for two people, plenty of room. It provided everything we needed to have meals at the cabin. A fully stocked kitchen and even a gas grill to use, which we did. Fresh items for breakfast were provided, fruit, eggs, homemade bread, muffins and jam. Each cabin had its own private hot tub which was wonderful to relax in after days spent hiking the Blue Ridge or Chimney Rock. The location is perfect to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mts, Lake Lure, nearby Ashville, Boone, and many other sites, which we did. I hope we are able to return again and stay at the Arbor Cabins!

Absolutely loved The Arbors at Lake Lure!!! My husband and I needed a getaway for the 4th of July to step away from the hustle and bustle of running our own business... the Arbors was perfect!!! Clean, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing... exactly what we needed. Plus, Sarah was so amazing she made us delicious gluten free goodies since my husband has an allergy. In walking distance to restaurants and the lake and close to Chimney Rock, so it’s very convenient, too. I highly recommend these cozy cabins and can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I were honeymooners during our stay at The Arbor. I would definitely suggest staying at The Arbor for a romantic vacation. Champagne, rose petals on the bed, fresh flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, homemade baked goods, and a basket full of local goodies awaited us upon arrival. Everything was clean, organized, secluded and Erika and Sarah were very attentive to any needs or questions we had prior to booking, check-in, and our stay. With the cabin we also recieved two tickets to a Lake Lure boat ride as well as 2 tickets to Chimney Rock with a lunch included! I will definitely return for future romantic vacations! Plus, the hot tub was perfect after a long day hiking up Chimney Rock!

This was the perfect headquarters for exploring Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure. As empty-nesters, we loved that The Arbors are adults only. It combined all the best of a bed and breakfast - homemade baked goods and jam, fresh eggs and coffee - with the privacy of an individual cabin with a full kitchen. Tall Oaks cabin was private, quiet, clean and romantic. The shared outdoor space became my morning spot to catch up on work with the free wifi. After a day of hiking to the top of the water fall at Chimney Rock, the hot tub on our private, secluded deck was a huge relief to our aching muscles. Erika and Sarah even provided a bottle of local wine - very thoughtful.Sarah was a warm and gracious host - available for advice about local sites and restaurants. When we arrived, she gave us a tour of the grounds and the cabin, pointing out all the little extras including a thorough, personalized guidebook of the area. We stayed four nights and halfway through, Sarah left fresh towels and replenished the breakfast supplies, which was an unexpected treat. We can't recommend the Arbors enough. We hope to be back soon.
