Well, this, was my first visit to "Crepe & Custard". This is a neat lake side food source. I'm not calling it a restaurant, but a nice cozy eatery. There are both inside and outside tables. The outside is with a covered porch with views of Lake Junaluska. There are about equal sitting and tables for either option. It was a clean and orderly place with an attentive friendly staff.I ordered a small chocolate ice cream cup with cherries on top.While it was very tasty and refreshing, I did not know what to expect, was it "custard" or ice cream, no one informed me, and neither nor did I ask since I had gone to my car to enjoy it. And did not go back inside to ask.Yet it was great. The downside was the cost and the size. It was $5.35, then tax, and tip, for what amounted to one scoop, it was pricey, in my opinion. But this seems to be the trend, since yesterday I had a strawberry milkshake at an ice cream shop in Lake Lure that was also in the same price range.I would still recommend visiting Crepes and Custard. They are open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.If this review has helped you, please give it a like. Located on Lake Junaluska in Waynesville, North Carolina, this cute restaurant offers sweet and savory crepe options. When you enter, you place your order on the computer screen. Since there is indoor and outdoor seating, you can provide a cell phone number to receive a text when your order is ready. You have to pick up your own order (and yet they ask for tips on the computer screen). We both had the fruit crepe with strawberries. The sweet filling and crepes were delicious.

👉Overall we will go again if the opportunity arises👈-Clean, good food, and friendly staff.-Did not realize everything but the salad was going to be crepes. They were made well so....-All the food was good except the kid's pizza. It was a crepe with tomato paste and pepperoni inside. My toddler said it was nasty. I laughed, took a bite and nearly gagged🤢. Never had a worse "pizza" ever. WAIT! Everyone else's food was very good.

Stopped in for breakfast after an appointment, as I didn't want something fast food. I was so pleased with my experience- I had a savory and a sweet crepe, both of which were delicious. The ladies working were very helpful and sweet as could be! The space itself is quaint and beautifully decorated, matches the lake theme wonderfully. I’d say this is a solid spot for breakfast or a quick bite, even in the winter.Kid-friendliness: Lots of little ones inside when I went, they all seemed happy and comfortable and the staff was very friendly to them & their families.

First time to eat here. We walked from the public access boat ramp parking area. A nice 10 minute walk. It took us longer because we stopped a lot for photos and just enjoying the area. I enjoyed the days special. Philly chicken in a crepe. Only thing that was bothersome was we sat too close to the trash can and had to deal with flies. The food was good. Another place that you are asked to leave a tip before you experience your meal, however they also have an option for leaving a cash tip after if you prefer, which I would of done had I known. Walked along the lake afterwards. Very pleasant day and experience. Felt as if they worked at doing things right.

Awesome lunch with a family of Canada Geese today Crepe & Custard on Lake J! I don't know if there's a better view to eat in WNC even on a rainy day! Great fresh made crepe with beef and cheddar in a fantastic horseradish cream sauce. State of the art tech, great food and staff! Well done team!

5 starts for the amazing staff and the view! Crepes are good, and so are crepe sandwiches. I appreciate the special touch full of smiley sprinkles on the crepe for my kiddo ❤️❤️❤️

Went here while staying at the lambuth inn. Staff was very friendly. They have a touch screen to order food/drinks. Custard and coffee was excellent, did not get any crepes but the menu looked delicious.

This was my second visit to C&C. My first visit was Wednesday. Both my mom and I had savory crepes and they were delicious!!! The crepes were cooked to perfection!! Today my partner ordered a savory beef and she liked it. I ordered the sausage and egg crepe - the contents were fine, but the crepe was horrible - tough, rubbery, could not cut with plastic knife. I ate the contents and then asked staff about the crepe. They stated that “that’s just how it is - they will be different depending on batter, oven and who cooks them.” They offered to remake it. I told them no thanks but that I wanted to try a Nutella crepe - no offer of price reduction, I paid full price for it. It was good and crepe was perfect. I really want C&C to succeed, but they need consistent quality, especially with their prices.

Lakeshore Love in every bite!This recent addition to the beautiful shoreline of Lake Junaluska is worthy of the view. Simple, creative and always different and ever-changing with the seasons and weather here in Western North Carolina. And of course I'm talking about the Crepes! LOL.The menu is filled with sweet and savory items that I found would be great for kids and adults as well. I found the Bacon, Egg & Cheese crepe perfect, and loved the "Gluten free" option. Also, pet friendly with dining space on the porch. And, you can simply enjoy watching the lake and wildlife as you enjoy your meal or get it to go. And, before or after a meal you can walk around the lake, or enjoy kayak rentals and paddle boards and more. Enjoy!*PS- Just a short walk- Don't forget to visit the hidden forrest nearby at the end of Stuart Circle- A real "Planet Avatar" of trees and plants, many labeled for the botanist and kids at heart.

Crepe and Custard is the best custard east of the Mississippi. I’ve been all over this country from the Chatahoochie to Tim-bucc-too and I ain’t never had custard this good. I paid an extremely reasonable price as well. The ladies behind the counter were very kind and quick with the order as well. They make you feel at home. I love this custard. I just wish there was an airport closer to Crepe and Custard so I could fly in specially for the custard. Unfortunately I live in Texas so I only make it up this way when I’m huntin Bigfoot. I might retire up here next Crepe and Custard when I do eventually catch Bigfoot.

Scrumptious 🤩! Instructions for ordering are at the front door. Super easy. Order using the kiosk inside and pay.I ordered the s'mores crepe and oh my gahhhh....! Bomb dot com! It was a lovely day to sit outside and enjoy the view and breeze. Lovely staff as well :)

We stopped in here after playing tennis and the staff was very efficient and quick. You order at a screen and our custards and crepe was out within a few minutes. We got the regular sized custard and it was great. Great for breakfast lunch or desert.

The sweet crepes, like the ones you can build are phenomenal! Perfect blend of fresh strawberries and warm Nutella makes it mouth watering! Customer service is always AMAZING! The atmosphere is laidback and great for any occasion!Vegetarian options: You have the option to remove and add whatever your dietary restrictions allow.Kid-friendliness: Kids can play just out side the door in the grass, it’s always clean in and out.Wheelchair accessibility: The only way in is up a concrete ramp with rails on both sides for added security.

The food here was pretty good. They have gluten free options for their crepes. They have an ordering system that will text your phone number when the order is ready so that you can sit outside to wait for your order. They weren't wearing masks as they were preparing the food is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5.
