This location should close. Goldsboro and Kinston are not that far away. Merchandise is not fresh enough for me. Expired goods on the shelves are common. The cause is not enough turnover or sales volume. Hence the recommendation to close the store. Lazy employees keep many customers away. Ones in the checkout area stand around looking at their phones.

It was clean and very well stock. The cashier looked at me when he asked how I was doing. Like he actually wanted to know. Had some decent sales at the time and we all enjoyed browsing the deli. Grabbed a cheese and cracker snack pack and check out was a breeze even at a time when folks are getting off and stopping on their way home! Will definitely be back. They seemed to have a lot of newer things I hadn't seen in our more local food lion!

I always enjoy seeing the cashiers in this store. They are fun to talk to; however, I have noticed that I encounter items that are expired or close to expiring, fairly often at this store. Be sure to check the expiration dates while shopping.

My mother and I went for cupcakes today. The bakery made us 12 with traditional icing on the fly. They were sooo good. Excellent customer service. I didn't catch the lady's name who had them made for us. She made our night. Thank you ❤️❤️

Store was very clean and well stocked. Ample amount of check out clerks were available as well. Like how they have broadened the meats cuts and selection. Prices were fair and there were also some good buys going on along with coupon savings.

I stopped in to pick up a bundle of kale from the produce department. Every bundle that I picked up was rotten on the inside. It smelled bad it had the black slimy leaves to it so I know they were bad. I saw and employee come out to put up the deli Express bags and I told him about the fresh kale. His response to me was they were doing inventory and everybody was busy! Are you kidding me? Obviously there was not going to be any Servicing for a customer. I was very disappointed and now I don't know if I will shop in that particular store again.

Usually a pleasant shopping experience. However this time an employee had obviously just pulled all merchandise to front and stocked shelves. I picked out 10 yogurts and before I could get them to my cart she swung open the refrigerator doors so hard they doubled back and nearly broke the glass of the neighboring doors and began to re-steaighten what I had "messed up". I was gonna pick 10 more yogurts but since she was having a very unprofessional fit of rage and was in my way I chose to NOT purchase the other 10. On my way to the register i got madder and madder at how i was treated and i ditched the original 10 yogurts in the potato chip isle. 😁 I'd be just fine if I didnt see her again

In my opinion, this Food Lion location has good service. The only con is, at times they don't enough cashiers at the registers. Which causes the lines to be rather long with a extended wait time than what you would want/except when grocery shopping.

If you watch the sales it's a good price food store and they have always been nice to me. Just a suggestion-- if there are grocery carts outside take one in to make someone's life and job a little easier !

If you wanna get financially robbed shop at any Food Lion need to replace it with a Piggly Wiggly much cheaper what you would get in groceries at Food Lion with MVP card you can get three times the amount at Piggly Wiggly if you're to spend same exact amount and if you're looking at amount saved let's say you spend at Piggly Wiggly $150 you would pay @ least $250 to $300 for amount if items
