Stopped here after a beautiful Sunday run and got an iced caramel latte. Located right off the pier, the inside is filled wall to wall with souvenirs and trinkets, which makes the space fun to explore while waiting for your coffee. The lady running the store was incredibly warm. It did seem like the place could get busy during rush hour as there was only one person running the shop, but if you aren't in a rush, it's the perfect place to recharge. Specialty coffees are on the pricier side, but they have an incredible selection. The coffee was a delicious treat!

Have to admit this coffee has become my new favorite coffee. I have been working on the island for years and never stopped to try. Coworker talked me into trying the Cinnamon Roll Latte. Must admit it's probably the best latte I've ever had from a coffee shop. Would highly recommend. And I have went several times last year and this year so far. Definitely where you should go for your coffee needs.

The outside art of the cafe caught our eyes as we walked past it, therefore, we wanted to try it out! Their menu has many options, ranging from cold brews, signature lattes, classic coffees, and blended drinks. The ladies who works here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the beach bum, which is a mix of lavender and white mocha, with lavender flavored cold foam. It is such a great mix, especially for those with a sweet tooth! My friend ordered the beach comber, which is coffee with sweet condensed milk, with chocolate cold foam. It tastes like a hot chocolate. We definitely enjoy it here and will come back when we visit :)

my first time stopping in after admiring the exterior for years and i absolutely loved it! i am not a huge coffee person but i am a huge hippie so i got the frozen hot chocolate and it was DELICIOUS! my boyfriend got mermaid magic and loved it 🧜🏼‍♀️ we of course had to get a cute sticker to rep on my car as well! we will be back for sure when we we come back to kure beach 💗 🏻

Enjoyed the first day at Kure Beach with some cold coffee drinks from Happy Hippies. Very friendly staff. Everyone was smiling and in a good mood. Will most likely be back there in the morning for some more! Highly recommend giving them a try. Easy to find right by the Kure Beach Pier!

Stumbled in here by random chance while walking down the boardwalk at Kure Beach. The lady working told me about the Mermaid Magic drink. I got it literally because of the name; however, this drink could be called anything it wants and would still be delicious. 10/10 recommend trying the Mermaid Magic drink. If you love coffee/cold brew then you’ll love this creamy, strong, subtly sweet concoction. I went back 2 days later and picked up a half-gallon of it to take home for the work week ahead. They are also super dog friendly which these paw parents love and appreciate!

I am so happy I stopped in here, Beverly you are just amazing. The mermaid drink was fantastic, highly recommended! So many things made by locals with lots of time and love put in it. Ohh I can't forget about the John Lennon glasses my granddaughter and daughter just had to have. I felt like home as soon as I walked in the door, first time I ever felt like that walking in a business, so Beverly thank you for our talk, it was such a pleasure meeting you and I will be back to see you.

Great coffee, great vibes, great care- I've never been anywhere that uses frozen coffee ice cubes to preserve the quality of your coffee as it melts. That's says a lot! And it's brilliant! I had the Magical Mermaid and Nitro, which they make themselves, blend them together and you get a Rip Tide. Delish. (They also know about CBD products for you or your pet.)

We came across the Happy Hippie Java Hut while walking around Kure Beach. It's a local coffee shop with lots of flare. Inside you'll find a good selection of coffee options along with locally made good such as jewelry, clothing, and cards. The coffee was very good. I really enjoyed the taste. They have some sugar free options if you're counting calories. The pricing was on par with better known national chains which will go unmentioned. The service was great. The staff is friendly and they know their menu. If you have questions they will happily guide you to the perfect drink. Happy Hippies is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back for another cup. Their hours are around 7am to noon (or so).

LOVE the community involvement the owner has she gives free coffee to the Serving Officers, Firefighters and EMTs also a loyalty rewards, and what is neat a board posted with “pay it forward” if you want to buy something and let whomever get it for free. Very nicely decorated it suits the cool atmosphere at the Kure Pier.

Love love love those little place. The morning we came in the super sweet girls were mopping up from the storm that had blown in the night before. Gave me time to look at the cool stuff they have for sale. Such cute jewelry, shirts etc. Fell in love with the mushroom earrings but they were closed when I went back to buy them. Will get them next time we visit. The coffee was absolutely amazing. I can not remember which drink I had but it had Lavender and white coffee blended and topped with homemade whipped cream! I fell in love with Kure beach but this little place was by far my favorite stop. This is a must when visiting the area!

I would say best coffee on the island but honestly it’s the best coffee both me and my husband have ever had. We are locals and come here often. Our favorite drinks are an iced beach comber with a shot of caramel, iced beach bum (has lavender!), and their smoothies are top notch. My daughter loves the peach smoothie, ask for sprinkles and whip!

Coffee was good and the young baristas gave me great service. However, I bought a tshirt there that was labeled a large on the packaging. Got home and it was a 2XL. Tried to exchange it the next day and was told (not very nicely) that it wasn't possible. There was a small sign that I had overlooked that stated no refunds/exchanges. I get no refunds but to deny just a simple exchange for another size is ridiculous. Especially after I spent $70 on 4 coffees and that shirt (plus tip) trying to support a local business instead of a chain. They also would have had my business again today but no way was I buying coffee there again after that. Will be sure to tell friends that visit that area often my experience so they can take their business elsewhere as well.

Great coffee and location. The beverages are a little overpriced but delicious. There are also some really cool merchandise to check out. Keep in mind that the pace is extremely small. There is only one sitting table. The overpriced drinks keeps me from giving 5 stars.

This place makes you feel welcome every single time you step inside their doors, and not only do they have some cool, fun drinks and snacks, they have a ton of fun crafty things that could keep me there all day! Great place right on the Kure Beach boardwalk that I cannot help going to every time I make it down to the beach! ✌🤟❤

Love this little local coffee shop! Lots of handmade goods for sale. Gotta try the dirty chai latte with almond milk...it's the best!
