We're not local, came down for a weekend beach trip and found this gem across from our motel room (By the Pier Motel, check them out too.. wonderful family oriented place)!Anyways, It was absolutely delicious. WOW WOW WOW!!! We all loved our food, including my very VERY picky toddler. I had the deviled crab platter and it was so so good. 10/10 recommend. My husband had the 12oz ribeye and it was tender and cooked perfectly to his liking. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and catered to our needs in a promptly timeframe. This will be a new must go to when we're in town. Please check this place out and give them your business.Kid-friendliness: Waitress was very nice and attentive to my toddler's needs which was very much appreciated.

While many people have great meals here, ours did not meet our expectations. I will include a couple of pics. Remember not every place is perfect everytime so maybe we were there at that time. Like, several other reviews, our drinks seemed more like mixer and a lot less like alcohol. The pineapple cider was okay but was served luke warm, which was not what I had expected. The fish had some after taste that wasn't pleasant, the burger was wayyyy to perfectly thick and shaped to be fresh but our service and the decor was great. Maybe have the person who decorates, cook the food. A novel thought I suppose but the two opinions don't follow each other, wait where was I, oh yea. Meanwhile, the staff was great, the food was not my favorite, others seemed to be enjoying themselves and for the most part we did too, except the eating and drinking, the sitting and talking was great. I would suggest you give Big Daddy's a try for yourself, my experience was off but yours may be spot on.

Okay so I don’t understand all the negative reviews. I went there for the first time and had amazing service we had a older lady and she was the sweetest made sure we had everything and gave us some great recommendations. Food was really good as well would definitely go back!

I got the catch of the day which was tuna. The fish was good but it really needed a sauce or something. They brought me hush puppies on the house because it took a little longer which was very generous of them. But over all it was kind of a boring meal for 30 bucks. Needed some sauce or dip or something to give it a little more life. The service was great.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Big Daddy’s this Easter weekend and we couldn’t have been more pleased. A few of us decided to take on the challenge of eating the four person seafood boil and let me tell you, we left there stuffed! It was more than enough to feed six people and it was delicious. Our compliments to Chef Steve who came to our table to present our boil himself. We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Debbie who was the sweetest and never left us needing anything! I think it’s also worth mentioning that the bar tender has a heavy hand and the drinks were fantastic too! Can’t wait to go back!

Giving 5 stars because of circumstances.... They were obviously short staff and our waitress had a new hire following her. She was nice, took our orders right away. Then she was seated with 2 parties of 8 at once... She did an excellent job keeping up with everything (I think her name was Tina). I had the fish tacos that were decent, and my wife's cheeseburger was well prepared. The hush puppies were obviously deep fried in old grease because they tasted like onion rings. Overall a good experience though.

Our waiter Mike was the perfect addition to the night if you're in the area stop in, ask for Mike, and tell him Amanda said "Hello". BIG DADDY'S is a must...I will definitely eat there every time we come to the beach from now on!!!

A little pricier than I wanted it to be, but still very reasonable. The food was good, but not too remarkable. My husband enjoyed the catch of the day sandwich - swordfish. And I had the scallop fettuccini which has spinach and a tomato cream sauce. The scallops were done well and tasted great, but the flavor of the rest of the dish left something to be desired. The service was pleasant but mediocre - had to ask for refills for completely empty sodas and we waited about 10 minutes to sit, which was odd with so many open tables on the patio. The open air space is nice with plenty of space and fun music. I wouldn't​say no to going back again.

Great customer service. Our waitress was very helpful with picking a delicious plate. I would have never had the fish tacos if she hadn't said they were the best. She was right! A must try if you come to Big Daddy's. I'll be going back for more!

I've never been here, but I won't because of all the terrible reviews. Looks like ya'll got some work to do. Customers look at these reviews and that's how they decide if they want to try a restaurant or not. So that's how I came to my decision not to go.

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday. Not very crowded at all, which was a little surprising but that worked well for us as we had children with us and they were rowdy. Lots of beach themed decor which was fun for the kids to look at. The food was pretty good, especially the biscuits and gravy, the western omelet and even the blue crab omelet. The menu was a little confusing, as toast and bacon were considered equal sides cost-wise, where normally toast/biscuits are included in the price at most places. Even ordering a side of toast was $3, so that was kind of off-putting, and those in our group who 'splurged' thought the toast was not good, stale maybe? But overall, if you're looking for a breakfast place that's not so crowded, give this place a try.

It's a little confusing at first because you have to walk through a gift shop before you get to the host, but the food and the service was outstanding. I had no complaints about anything on my plate and my broccoli was steamed and buttered to perfection! Big Daddys has been added to the "I will return" list!

The service was great. We were seated right away and our order was taken quickly. Our drinks came out within minutes and our food was at the table within 20 minutes. My wife had the broiled flounder and I had blackened shrimp. Both tasted as if they were frozen and we're mushy. There was an abundance of food but it wasn't good. We both had cocktails and neither of them tasted as if they had any alcohol in them. Service was excellent, food and beverage was not.

Visited back in August, and while we have been to Big Daddys before, this past time was one of our best visits. The food was INCREDIBLE!! Everything was so delicious. Our server, Stefan, (apologies if I spelled that incorrectly) was amazing. We have had him before and he is definitely our favorite server and he is also a musician! His personality is so nonchalant and he is funny - he took great care of us. The peel and eat shrimp were fresh, my margaritas were fantastic, and the ribs were out of this world!! We absolutely cannot wait to come back!!

The collard greens were blanched and tough. My waitress brought out my appetizer after my meal had been served. Overall, a very bad experience. The young waitress was very inattentive and immature, I don't think that she wanted to be there. It would have been a waste of time to complain, nobody seemed to be in charge with most of the floor staff and hostess being very young.

Our experience in the past at this place was great, but this time was not. Right from the beginning we were told to wait for our table until "the kitchen caught up". When we finally got seated and our order was taken it took at least an hour for half of our table's food to arrive. The rest of the food came about 15 minutes later and was either incorrect or cold. I got fish tacos which should have included some type of fish. There was a little fish in there, but it was mostly fried breading. When we asked for the manager he came and said "what can I do to make this right"?. His name was Tim.Honestly, I think there may have been something wrong with Tim. He was acting strange. While he was talking to us he got distracted by the mirror near our table. He said he had never seen it before.We later found out that we were in a part of the restaurant that doesn't usually get used. Maybe because it was decorated 35 years ago, I don't know. This section of the restaurant was pretty large but there was only one other table being used. Every other table was empty. And that was really strange considering there about 30 people waiting to be seated when we left.I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because some of the food was edible and our waitress was trying her best to make things right. And they have souvenirs.

Everyone has their own experience but ours was wonderful. We arrived at 6:50 for a table for 30 people. Was told it would be about an hour wait time. We were sat about 15 mins after the hour wait which was fine with us. Our server got our drinks started and they came out extremely quick for 30 people that’s including multiple bar drinks. There was about 5 different bar drinks ordered aside from beer and all were very good, kind of lacking the alcohol part just a little bit. We ordered fried pickles, and the wings and they were SO good! The breading on the pickles had flavor and the pickles were still juicy inside! The wings got 5 star reviews from all around the table, awesome flavor and crispy. The appetizers came out very fast as well. Everything was very organized and fast. We were extremely happy. The entrees were all correct and everyone got their food within about 8 mins altogether. Now the crab legs.. they were a tad pricy but you get 3 BIG clusters and wow they were delicious. It’s hard to find good crab legs that actually have flavor on the meat and not just the outside. They were very flavorful on the inside and the meat was perfectly cooked. The ribs were outstanding as well, very tasteful and just melted in your mouth. Ribeye was SO delicious! I mean job well done big daddy’s! I would 100% come back if we’re in the area again.
