Amazing experience on this Ferry as always. This time we had the opportunity to get in the bridge and meet the captain. He gave us an overall view if what he does and about the boat and it was great.

We had a great ride on the Ferry from Knotts Island to Currituck. This is a free ferry. It was a little under an hour ride and the weather was perfect. Lots of pretty landscape to watch as we crossed.We loved it. We also liked the little country store just before then ferry. They make great sandwiches. We purchased a lunch to eat on t he crossing. Can't wait for your next on the ferry.

Visited Virginia Beach on vacation and thought this would be cool. We hurried to make the 12 noon ferry only to find out when no ferry arrived and we called them that the noon ferry wasn't running. They posted it on Twitter apparently but no where else, not even on the ferry website. So, we decided to go have lunch and wait for the 2 p.m. The ferry ride was about 45 minutes. The staff was very friendly. There are restrooms, vending, and a couple of air conditioned inside areas if you prefer that. Just need to have other avenues of communication. Not everyone uses Twitter.

Clean, picnic tables & restrooms on both sides. The ferry had air conditioned/heated cabin area or you can ride outside in the open air. Restrooms available in the ferry too. We love to take the ferry when we visit family.

Nice little ferry ride, about half hour each way. The internal platt has AC and you don’t get wet.

The ferry is in good shape from what I can tell. The departure times are spot on. The staff are friendly and professional. They don't waste time. I believe the website says the ride is 45 minutes, but it took about 38 for us. I'm sure the times change with the water.

Great experience and you can't beat the price (free). In winter, the last trip of the day from Knotts Island to Currituck is a sunset cruise.

Today was my first trip on the Knotts Island - Currituck Ferry. 5 stars all around. The ferry is nice, clean and oh so quiet on the top deck. The guides are very nice and helpful.

Enjoyed the ride. Was not able to get out of the car this time. Going one place to the other, it was great. They have restrooms. Need to go before you load up if you think your automobile will be placed where your door doesn't open. People are great.

This ferry terminal is closed to maintenance. Sign say until Aug 6 2018. Would have been nice to mention this on their website! We drove a long way to get to this terminal and now we need to go back > 1 hr detour. Really annoying! At least advertise it is closed!!

As far as the ferry terminal is concerned, it's ok. A visitor center with bathrooms is across the street. A historical courthouse is close to checkout while you are waiting to board. That's it.

Busy, took a lot of time to get over. Different experience, but if you dont have a lot of time to spend, skip it.

This small free ferry fills up fast. The crew seem very capable...The ride from Knotts Island to Currytuck was pleasant today.. I found a free state map when I wondered into the small air conditioned section of the ferry.
