Great sales, lots of produce and frozen foods. They even have a place to buy fresh pizza.It was easy to find what we needed, our group split up and tackled different sections of the store because it was so large inside we thought that would be faster.We all met up at the cash and had great service there.

Almost everything you need at Walmart. Only complaint is there should be more cash register check outs and less self checkouts. I seem to almost always have an issue at self checkout and never with a real person at a register. And I enjoy an actual interaction with a real person.

It's Walmart is nice. Things are easy to find. And if you have questions, the food manager Is Steve . a really great guy. Quite helpful. Nice family of staff there to deal with interact and be greeted by. Is a pleasure doing business here

I went to this place to buy a plated dinner after trying to get someone to help me for a real long time I was told that the person that was asigned to this area was on lunch break and then that person just went about stocking the bakery shelves not making any atempt to contact anyone to come and assit me as a customer come on yall this is walmart one of the largest retailer in the country and you can not staff you store any better than that. I wounder how many customers they missed out on that day or any other day when the employee is scheduled to take a lunch break and know one is scheduled to take their place

This was absolutely the cleanest Wal Mart ever.It was unbelievable. Wish I could change the one I buy from in South Western Pennsylvania. Ours is gross.

I am very disappointed in this location and the staff the quality of produce and bakery products. I only go to Walmart maybe about twice a year and each time I leave their furious. The people that work up front when you leave to check receipts profile and are extremely rude. I have stopped both times this year. Once for a table the man saw me buy at the self checkout and still stopped me and tonight I was stopped and he checked my cart to see if everything was in a bag and gave me "permission " to leave when he looked into my cart. Now I am an educated man who works for the state very well groomed and kept. However I was wearing a ball cap t-shirt and shorts today and got stopped. There was an older woman in front of me who had things not in bags and he just let her go by in front of me. In the bakery there were multiple loaves of bread that were moldy as well as blueberries and strawberries had mold almost in every container. I attempted to purchase a turkey today that was on sale for $98 but it was ringing up a $1.88 I told the gentleman that it was supposed to ring up at 98 cents a pound but it's ringing up a $1.88. He replied to me that what the price on the tag is is what the price is and I said well that's wrong it was clearly marked in the back the entire case at 98 cents a pound he refused to look up the price and told me I was the one that was wrong. I don't care if I ever go back to that Walmart again I hope corporate shuts that place down.

This Walmart stocks a variety of items that are priced very well and in abundance. The only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because they have quite rude Deli staff. They don't seem keen on cutting anything for you and do so with an attitude.

I was there around 2:24 on 11/05/23...I had an elderly lady with a French manicure check me out. She was so unfriendly. She suddenly stopped ringing up my stuff and just stared at me...when i asked her what was wrong, she said that the belt would move, if I removed my box wine. Jeesh. Then, another associate came up and advised a customer would be coming to her register to ring something up. The mean cashier ripped him a new one and didn't even make sure I had my bags or thank me for my business....horrible walmart. And then on my way out the door guy demanded my receipt for the box wine, I told him to let me look in my purse for it and he began rifling through my groceries. Skip this place.

10, yes 10, employees were all standing around at the front talking an hour before closing and I asked are any of these open? Meaning the lanes could one of them help me. One of them said they're all self checkout. My mistake. Not their fault. It's just how Walmart is now. Sam Walton is turning over in his grave.

Jeff was very helpful! We came in looking for a stainless steel stock pot to do crab legs. It showed 2 in stock online. But not to be found anywhere in the store. Jeff in sporting goods/fishing was up To the task of checking in the back. Took him a little bit, but he found it! Worth the wait. Also- whileWe were waiting, a second employee Ewan noticed we may be waiting and asked to help! He too was up for the task and offered to go help! Great teamwork! Excellent customer service! So refreshing to see these days where service can be super questionable. Thank you so much! Reward these guys

I live about a half mile from this Walmart in Kitty hawk, please turn down the music! Apparently you hold concerts in the parking lot and it disrupts the neighborhood. In my backyard, your music is louder than mine is...and yours is 1/2 a mile away.

This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve EVER had at any store. After waiting over an hour for my pickup order (they were lucky I had a Zoom call) I went in. No customer service. FINALLY someone came and found one of the pickup people. Got my order. No apologies from them. Also, employees were smoking pot in their cars then going back to work.

The employee Beverly at this location is so incredibly rude. We waited 30+ minutes to get my little brother a chain he really wanted. She proceeded to disappear and go “look for keys” and would wonder off and start helping other people. The store was not busy at this time. When we went to check out she proceeded to laugh at us and mumble loud enough for us to hear. So unprofessional. If you don’t want to deal with vacationers, don’t work in a tourist area. We complained to the manager and he even agreed that she is a mean lady.

We were on vacation and completed a grocery scan as you go order for $650. We had to stop at the register before leaving for the weighted items to be entered. The two staff members were extremely helpful and although they were not sure how to fix the issues we were having they were completely and 200% willing and engaged in their jobs and helping us be satisfied customers! I cannot thank them enough as this was a stressful time we were just arriving in North Carolina from New York after a long drive and needed to get our shopping done and then head to the condo in Cape Hatteras. this is by the way the closest Walmart to Cape Hatteras which is about an hour and a half away!!! when we thought everything was going to go wrong they just made everything right for us. I wish I could remember their names. Thank you Walmart Kitty hawk!!! I totally recommend anyone stopping here if they were heading into the outer Banks especially the Cape Hatteras area. They have everything you need here!!!!

Went through self checkout as lines were long... and I'm ok with that part. I accidentally scanned an item twice. No attendant at the self checkouts. Waited over 5 minutes after pushing the help button. Went to the other end to find some one to help us... by now 3 other people needed help.When I asked Stacy for help she told me she was busy and would get down there when she could.. and of course this was said sarcastically. When she finally came down she helped everyone else first..then proceeded to tell me I could of taken the item off myself. Again sarcastically.I wanted to talk to the manager in charge and asked Leticia who said ok and then went on break I finally gave up and left so now I'm leaving this review since could not get it resolved in the store.

Well stocked compared to our local Walmart at home. Especially impressed with the variety of pet products! From pet food & treats to toys, bath and flea treatments, they had it all! Nothing we needed was out of stock! Best Walmart I've visited anywhere to date.

* update from 9/8/2020. I know that it can be a madhouse this time of year, but I need to say.. thankyou, maybe I got the good ones, but the employees that waited on me, ( I was doing a return, were, fast, efficient, friendly and I yes I had my receipt, which really does help if you run into a issue, they refunded my cash back, quickly and with a smile..which as a local, I much appreciated, I read some of the bad recent reviews, I guess I was lucky, for there was no issue, only kudos for quick, helpful service, and by the way.. my last online order, was the same, I am going thru treatments and wasn't feeling well.. I got to the line, a kind worker, took my name, went to the pickup area upfront, and brought out my order, never needed to go in, he has helped in the past, and I can't express my thanks enough.. so , there is many awesome employees, it's a crazy busy time right now, but I think there doing there best, and in my case more than that.. thank you.. I felt really impressed to let that be known and let all who are working in a stressful time know, I appreciate you .*9/8/2020... I think the Kitty Hawk Walmart has come along way..the selections are always good, prices reasonable or better if you go online for discounts, and customer service.. above and beyond, the assistant manager"John? I believe was his name, helped me tremendously with a phone, and others have been just as great in the past , also the new check-in for online purchases cant be beat, so easy to shop, pay, then checkin online and your item is ready for you by the time you get to the store..for those on the go, or if like me, unable to get around easy, it is a great help * and I can keep shopping and not wait hours to get help or my item. Thank you Walmart' keep up the great work. You have a loyal customer with me. 10/28/20 again you have shown what great customer service you have.. I had a return item, and with my receipt (which I recommended saving) gave me my cash back, and I was able to get a different product, ( this item was defective) no big hassle, just kind, and quick service, again I say.. thank you.. even as much as savings or items, the customer service keeps me a loyal customer. 5 stars all the way.

The walmart here in the outer banks(kitty hawk) is by far the worse I have been in ever.. even with the fact that we got expired butter??? Bought on 11th and expired on the 6th.. this store was a complete mess with improper use of labor and scheduling. Even with the possibilities of short staff. Market team should assist knowing what this store goes through on Saturday and Sundays during the summer(coming from their TL at self checkout being im from Ohio). It was complete chaos here, with the store not following process accurately. Boxes on the floor????? While stocking paper, and pallets of brake packs... PALLETS on the sales with brake packs creating obstacles and safety issues while the store was way over compacity.. only 1 person running self checkout with all in use and lines through the clothing. Every regular manned register was not open with lines running all the way back.. where was code SPARK here. This store was not scheduled, or associates utilized where taking care of the customer would have managed much more of the Choas. TL telling me she don't think she will make it through her shift as it was stupid what she was dealing with. I agree 100... this stores ability to serve the customer not mentioning the profitability this store could generate it ran more efficiently. Either complacency issues or not caring. But I have never seen such an unorganized, under stocked, unmanned with no zoning done in a while in a Wal-Mart. I will take my business to the Food Lion. The obviously understand staff, standards and in stock. Very very sad.
