Best places for dog food and spray paint! I know it sounds like an odd shopping list, but crafts and my pup are just about the only thing I do! And the gumball machine give a big burst of childhood nostalgia every time I see it!

If you want to find what you're looking for fast on a Home project. I recommend Ace Hardware. Most of their staff is pretty knowledgeable and helping you find what you are looking for. I've never had a bad experience in the store the staff is always polite and helpful. They also have a decent selection in their pool Spa department for what is available in Dare county furthermore the Outer Banks. I think they are a great place to start your next project.

Super helpful employees. We were there to get keys and a fob made for two vehicles. They had all three items in stock and were able to cut and program all of the while we waited. Super fast too! Crystal and Victoria knew what we needed and took care of us. Very pleasant experience.

Great little store with a great selection of most of the things you will need to do little repairs around the house. Great selection of feed for your farm pets.

Very disappointing. Many employees in the store, but they were more interested in watching what seemed to be a commercial being filmed. Charged more than posted price for mulch and NO ONE came out to assist in loading of many bags. As a local, will likely NOT become regular patrons.

Always easy to find supplies for my pool services and other needs. Staff is always eager to help you without smothering you while you shop. Fair prices and good selection of a variety of items. Even though they are not as giant as other similar stores, I choose to stop in ace if I dont have the time to do laps around what seems to be endless miles of walking/searching in other similar stores.

People were helpful, but they were out of stock of the product I came in for, including their warehouse. Prices are way too high though. Ended up buying a couple of small items just because I was already there, but won't go back for regular shopping again.

Ace hardware is convenient, local, has a wide variety of plants and Bird and animal food, lawn and garden products, light bulbs, plumbing, heating, air filters, tools outdoor furniture, and equipment and repair parts. The staff is well-versed in what they have and where it is and extremely helpful!! They have good sales.

The people at this ACE Hardward store are the best. They are always so glad to help you and they are super friendly. ACE actually has a few American made items unlike the big box stores, so I aways shop there first, and buy American when I can.

Nice hardware store with friendly service. Some of the items were a little limited. They had cleaning products, but not what I was looking for, and no toaster, either. No big deal. Will definitely shop here again.

Had to stop during hurricane prep and they did a AWESOME job keeping things in stock. They stayed open as long as the could and the staff was great. Would go back in a heartbeat.

They seem to have the most random items that the big box stores don't. The staff is great about helping you find things, so when they ask if you need any help finding something. Take it.

They made me go outside and bring in a firewood bundle that wanted to purchase so they could "scan it" instead of just looking it up and then ringing it up. I'm a senior citizen and the weight of the wood was awkward to say the least. No help!... I thought it was unreasonable.

Every time I have ever taken anything to Randy he has outperformed himself. Today at 039 still and an FS 45 weed eater. Got them back the same day and they are running and performing just like when they were new!!thanks Randy glad you are there!!!

Dare County requires the use of face masks. Employee at checkout had mask dangling around her neck. Several customers in store not wearing masks were not asked to put them on (in contrast to nearby Wal-Mart which was enforcing the ordinance).
